Not good. The only good thing I could say is that he was on time. He not only asked about what I needed done, but about every other area of the house. He pointed out my water heater was leaking (just had it replaced in 2011). I asked about water softeners as I have been thinking about replacing the one I have. He went out to his vehicle where he said his price list was and came back with various options: 1) replacing the water heater, water softener, and toilet with better quality equipment and unclogging a drain (over $10,000); 2) same as number 1, but a step down from the better quality (between $6,000 and $7,000); 3) replacing the toilet and unclogging the drain (just over $1,600); and 4) just fixing the toilet handle and unclogging the drain (between $800 and $900). I said, just fix the toilet and nothing else and it still was over $500. (I called Commers Water and they came out just after he left and will be putting in a water heater AND water softener for $3500). I also would like to note that his "estimates" were not broken down to show parts or labor costs, etc., so absolutely no idea what the breakdown was. They don't carry parts with them, so he had to leave to get parts for the toilet handle and come back, so another 30 to 45 minutes of my time wasted. When the job was completed, he had to make sure to tell me to test it out because he "likes to brag about his good work" and that he's only been doing it for the past 20-some years. I'm wondering if they charge everyone that much or make them think they need more than what they actually do to pressure them? I was very skeptical of his estimates not being itemized to show what exactly the customer is paying for. I was surprised because there were many good reviews by people on the Andover Community Facebook page - which I will never do again. I didn't check Angie's list like I usually do.

    American Sewer
He was professional, listened to what I had to say, checked the main sewer even though only the kitchen sink was stopped up. Quoted me a reasonable price. Didn't try to sell more than I needed. I appreciate that since I am a senior, female home owner. Was finished within an hour. Cleaned up nicely. I would highly recommend American Sewer.

    CenterPoint Energy Home Service Plus
I am pleased on so many levels. The water heater went out. We had a technician here on a Sunday. He needed a replace the whole thermostat, which was delivered Monday morning. The part was replaced by Monday afternoon. Every step exceeded my expectations. Home Service Plus is the way to go.

    American Eagle Plumbing Inc
Initial contact was very professional, appointment reminder text the day before the service. The appointment was for 11am and they called at 8am to say they had a cancellation and could they come earlier. The contact throughout the entire work process was constant and professional. Job was completed that morning. Great service, the customer contact with clear information on what was happening was exceptional. I really appreciated knowing what was going on at all times.

    Reface Experts
They are a newer company, but they did a very professional job. Basically it was one person who did the job. He measured everything and was very professional and made sure that I was happy with the results.

    American Eagle Plumbing Inc
We spent thousands of dollars on various projects around the house at such as a sump pump and fixing the pressure issue. A few months later, the pipes began to rattle and make noises at nights after not being used for a bit. It was a pressure issue. We contacted American eagle plumbing since it was under warranty and they said if it is the issue they will fix it. If it is not the issue, they will charge 80 dollars for coming out. YES 80 dollars for the visit when they should just honor their work. We decided to go with someone else who isn't overpriced. If you are planning to use American eagle plumbing, look at their membership deal it will save you money on huge projects or go with someone cheaper. American eagle plumbing will not honor warranty on their work...

SOS Drain & Sewer Services Inc
The most honest trusting company I have even done business with as a home owner. They take time to talk with you and they know what their doing. Called on the weekend and got through to Charlie right away. Other companies tried charging and were taking advantage of people because of the weather, not SOS. An amazing company with employees who care, thanks Mike and. Charlie

    Dercon Construction Services Inc
Our experience with Dercon was wonderful. They were very professional, always had our best interests in mind. Very responsive to questions and kept the workplace clean. Everyone we worked with, Dean, Ryan, Stephan, Boston and the sub contractors were experts in their field and very personable. Going into the project we knew we wanted a kitchen remodel but did not know where to start or have a idea of a layout. Dean and Ryan asked lots of questions, took photos and came up with a plan that met our needs and was nothing short of spectacular. They gave suggestions when we were uncertain on things and listened to our ideas as well. The end result was a beautiful remodeled kitchen, refinished floors, ceiling and walls on the main floor as well.

    H2C Heating, Cooling, & Plumbing
This is a follow up to my review earlier. H2C was the only quote I got where they did a heat loss analysis and recommended a much smaller water heater. It was installed last fall and after using it this winter we are super happy with it. I was a little skeptical of the much smaller BTU size so I tested it several times by keeping the heat several degrees higher for a week or more to see if it could keep up and it did flawlessly - it actually kept the heat much more even and also would heat up the house faster in the morning. They did an excellent job, and we also love the new water heater.
