    SHADES OF GREEN LANDSCAPING
Not good, they wanted us to contact the DNR first before they would even come out at look at the job. Their communication was okay, at least they did call us back. I would not consider them in the future, I wish they would have at least came out and looked at the job instead of doing it all over the phone.

    MORK WELL CO INC
We needed our entire septic system replaced. I sent bids out to 5 different companies, Mork was the first to respond! I had several questions, and Jodi, was always so quick to answer them. When the time came to chose, I selected Mork as they were considerably lower than the others. Trust me, in this case, the lower cost certainly did not mean lower service! They arrived exactly when they said they would, the gentleman that did the new system was so friendly and clearly enjoys his job. He took so much time explaining any detail I had questions on. After the new tanks and drainfield were in, he completely leveled our back yard, he even took time to fill in some low spots in our driveway for us! You will NOT be disappointed w/ Mork!!

    Northrup Remodeling, Roofing & Exteriors
The project went very well. Ron was the project manager and was engaged from the beginning. He offered a lot of really useful advice during the design phase with the architect to help save money and make the project go more smoothly. He spent a lot of time on-site personally, which was nice. Ron was always available and responsive. He communicated clearly with us when he wouldn't be available. The subcontract crews were all professional. Overall, a very well managed project. We had a few surprises that couldn't have been seen before things were opened up, but Ron handled them swiftly and efficiently. Rain cooperated and overall, we finished ahead of schedule and on budget. Would definitely hire again.

    CASPER'S EXCAVATING
I really can't say enough good things about Jerry Casper and his two sons.  This guy was an absolute pleasure to do businesswith.  I really love working with family businesses which have been around for so long.  There is a big reason these guys havestood the test of time.  They care about their company, the work they do, and the customers they do the work for.

Jerry met me out at my property prior to the start of any construction on my home.  He gave me some feedback, and great ideasfor the grading on my house.  He even went out of his way to contact my surveyor, and convince him to lower the basement.  Mysurveyor had concerns about sufficient slope from the walk-out to the back yard.  Jerry guaranteed that he could meet the 0.5%grade, even with a laser level.  Guess what?  He did it, and after the winter melt, it's obvious the water is going away from thehouse.

As for the septic, installation went smooth, and he installed it exactly when needed.  He managed to keep tree removal to a minimum, and everything worked great.

The driveway was over 750 feet from the road, and it has held up wonderfully to this harsh winter, and snow melt.  I even asked Jerry to bring out some more fill for a low area, for which I wanted to add a little more.  Instead of simply brining out the fill, Jerry took time out of his schedule to come out (without me asking), and inspect the driveway.  While visiting, he didn't stop there, he inspected the septic, and all the grading he had done.  A sure sign of pride in one's work.

I wouldn't hesitate recommending Casper Excavation for any job, big or small.  These guys are remarkable when it comes to precision grading!

    Foster Trucking & Excavating

I contacted Noel about hauling some free fill I had found.  He communicated with me regularly about when the fill would be available. When it was available, Noel was with his family on vacation, but took my call and set up a time to meet the day after he returned.  I guessed at how much fill I would need and he gave me a price of how much it would cost to haul and grade the fill.  He then came out and measured the area with his surveying tools and we discovered I had grossly under estimated what I would need.  I would need twice what I thought.  Noel immediately started thinking of ways to save us money.  He moved about 300 yards of existing dirt to lessen the amount he would need to haul.  As soon as possible, he had his employees hauling the fill and grading it.  He didn't make it out to the work site the first weekend as he was at the hopital for the birth of his son.  The next weekend he was there working hard.Everyone involved was friendly and professional and hard working. His father even dropped by the work site one time and drove by it several other times to see how things were going.  I told him he had a fine son. Noel has horses, so he knew exactly what we were doing and gave us ideas for fencing placement areas we would need to build some sort of retaining structure, which he said he would later backfill for us.  Noel is incredibly personable, honest, and hard working. I cannont say enough good things about him and his crew.  They are amazing! If you need excavating or hauling, you'll find, as I did after much research that Foster Trucking is one of the most reasonably priced out there.

    Gene's Water & Sewer Inc
I can't say enough good things about Gene's Water & Sewer. From the initial visit where it was determined that we had a broken sewer main...to the final clean-up and replacement of curb and blacktop...everyone from Gene's was prompt, thorough, friendly, and generally pleasant to be around! I spent a LOT of time "looking over the shoulders" of the two young guys who did all the "dirty work" and never once did they ever make me feel that I was being intrusive...annoying...or frustrating. They always took all the time necessary to answer any of my questions, no matter how dumb some of them probably seemed.

I really want to compliment Gene's for how they handled what could have been a very easy (and profitable!) upsell opportunity for them once we had the ground opened and the break spotted. As part of the initial estimate, it was agreed that they would repair the break and line the existing sewer line from the break point (which was just on the lawn side of the curb line) to where it met with the city main. I had talked with Eric previously about the pros and cons of lining the remainder of the sewer line (which was 60+ years old!) from the break point back to the house. Instead of pressuring me to spend the additional $4,500.00 to line the rest of the sewer line, he told me that, while it might be a good idea, it certainly was NOT necessary. He told me that he's seen lots of clay tile sewer pipes last for years and years. He NEVER even once gave me the slightest hint of pressure. If anything, it seemed that he was trying to assure me that, if money was an object, we'd be just fine without lining the pipe.

However, when the ground was opened up, I decided that it would be cheap "insurance" to go ahead and spend the extra money to line the entire length of the sewer back to the house. In my mind, the benefits far outweighed the additional cost. Plus, since we had already dug up the lawn, it only made sense to do it now as opposed to at another time when there would be an additional charge for digging things up again.

I can't express how comfortable it felt to be able to make the decision to spend the additional dollars in the absence of any pressure from Gene's.This was so far removed from some of the "horror stories" I've heard from other companies that use every tactic under the sun to maximize the profit that they make from every job. It truly was a breath of fresh air.

When everything was said and done, the guys really went above and beyond the call of duty to clean up the lawn as much as possible. A hose that was pulled out was put back neatly where they found it...and they left the lawn in as good shape as could be expected, considering that they'd dug up a 3' x 5' hole.

These guys get my highest recommendation!

    WRIGHT CONTRACTING
We were pleased to say the least. I got Jeff's name and cell phone number from another contractor that I found on Angie's List who does a lot of work with Jeff. It was early on a Saturday afternoon, so when I left a message I didn't really expect a call back. Within a few minutes he called me back. He explained that he was on his way home with his equipment and would be happy to stop by that afternoon if it worked for us. He quickly finished the job and then offered to let us come to his business and get dirt to fill in the hole. Because he was already out with his equipment, he reduced the standard charge for this kind of job-something he did not need to do, but something that we believe demonstrates integrity and definitely ensures that when we need similar work done in the future, Wright Contracting is who we will call.

Very well. Little tripping at the end to clear permits, but we worked over a holiday and that caused some of the delay.
