    Dinse Contracting LLC
Extremely well. Every member of Dinse Contracting who worked on this major project over 2/3 months was highly skilled, informative, respectful, efficient, careful and went beyond all our expectations. There was never any construction debris, trash or unsafe work materials. Their professionalism is by far the best we have ever experienced during multiple projects in 50 years of home ownership. We would highly recommend this contractor and every one of his team.

I have had Brian Dinse work on my house in the past and I feel very confident and comfortable with his expertise, professionalism, and advice. He is very up front with what he can and can't do and makes reasonable suggestions. The project went well and the house looks great.

Scheduling was easy, I did everything over email. It was a little while before the crew came out - in 2 trips, one was for power washing prep, and 1 for the actual painting, but this was due to weather. The power washing I assumed would just be of the surfaces to be painted, but it looked like he removed the mold/mildew on the back siding of my house which was a pleasant surprise. The painting crew came about a week later and worked from 9am to about 7pm, completing the job. It turned out really nice, the wood was caulked and the painting made it look new again. I have no complaints and I'm happy with the results.

It went well. Our deck was larger than advertised and badly needed help but he was willing to do the extra work for a very reasonable fee. He even returned later to do touch ups. In spite of very hot weather and rain he was able to complete the job in time for a planned family event scheduled at our home. We would hire him again.

Brian helped me figure out what I wanted the finished product to look like, presenting a lot of design ideas that I hadn't considered, and then saw the project through from demolition to finish. The demolition phase was extensive - several walls were removed. The house is old (1878) so everything found under the surface was not always as expected (the joists under the subfloor weren't level with each other, for example) - some situations called for extensive remediation, which Brian's crew met with no issues. HVAC ducts had to be moved. The arrangement of the bathroom was completely different than what had been there previously, so plumbing had to be rearranged. The bathroom work included framing, insulation, ceiling can lights and exhaust fan ducted to the exterior of the house, drywall, plumbing, trim, painting, and a lot of tile work, including the floor, a jacuzzi tub enclosure, and a full tile shower. The workmanship in general is great. I am very impressed with the tile work. The kitchen work included removing a wall between the kitchen and pantry, and replacing the wall between the kitchen and dining room with a more open setup, including an arched doorway to match other architectural features in the house, and an open breakfast bar. The arrangement of appliances was updated to a more modern layout. A tile floor was installed here as well. I chose and purchased cabinets and Brian and his crew installed them. Also included was ceiling can lights, range hood vented to the opposite exterior wall, plumbing, insulation, drywall, trim, and painting. Additional small projects included in the cost here - the bottom half of the attic stairway adjacent to the bathroom had always been absent, Brian built a replacement. One of the historic garage doors was about a quarter missing, Brian extrapolated and reconstructed it to match the existing door. The only thing not included in the cost is the kitchen cabinets themselves (installation of the cabinets is included), counters, and appliances (with the exception of the stainless steel range hood, which is included), which I am purchasing separately. Designer double bathroom vanity was included.

I was pleasantly surprised that the coat for painting included power washing and gutter cleaning. It looks lime a new house which will hopefully help it sell. Everyone was clean cut and they worked very fast.

The estimator came out and gave an estimate.  Jay came out with a few other workers to complete the project.  They were professional and left the yard/premises clean and tidy at the end of the days. They communicated when they would show up to our house to start work and also advised us of the progress and weather delays.  At the completion of the work, we did a walk around the property and Jay fixed every single spot we were not happy with until we were pleased.  And he did this with no complaint, or attitude of how particular we were.  I would definitely use Jay again and highly recommend him.

This was an intimidating project that Brian saw through from start to finish.  From repairing and replacing dry-rotted and missing clapboard and trim (preserving intricate historic details such as crown molding all over the house), through to painting.  It's a very large house and it was in very bad shape, and looks fantastic now.  If I can attach pictures, they will speak for themselves.
Brian and his crew were professional, communicative, and did the work as promised.  There were no unpleasant surprises, only pleasant ones.

They were able to come when it was convenient for my schedule. Sean called a couple of times to let me know his arrival time. He was right on time.  He was great.  Pressure washed the painted siding on my home and removed some the paint bleed that was getting into the brick part of the house facade.

In the initial purchase,  I asked them to please contact me via my cell phone in order to set up an appointment. No one ever contact me. All of a sudden I get an email saying that they would come on Tuesday morning and I did not see the email until Tuesday morning. I called them immediately but it went straight to the machine. I left messages every time asking them to call me. They ended up doing the work at my old home (which was a condo) in which I had already moved to my new home.
