    Dinse Contracting LLC
We hired Brian Dinse and his crew to work with us on redoing our second full bathroom. The original floor plan had a very small cubicle shower that had developed a leak over the years and needed to be fixed. We knew we'd have to basically go down to the studs in that room and build back up, and Brian had great ideas and vision for what could be done there. We have baseboard heat in the home, and so we knew we'd want to relocate a radiator in order to make the best use of the available space, and Brian brought one of his team in early to consult with us about the best way to work around that limitation. It really helped me feel comfortable with him and his team to know that they were thinking about that kind of thing up front. Brian helped us with tile and fixture selections and overall design - he has a great feel for modern design that really aligned with what we wanted to do in the space. Once the work started, everyone that was involved were amazing. We enjoyed having all of the crew in our house, they went out of their way to make sure that we knew what was going on, and that we were comfortable with everything as the work progressed. The demo and rough in went by in a flash, and while the tile took some time, it was definitely time well spent - the attention to detail and professionalism by all of the guys was fantastic. They showed me everything that was going on; talked me through all the plumbing and structural work - no mysteries for us in that bathroom any more, which is very comforting to me as a homeowner. And the end result is, without a doubt, the nicest room in the whole house. We could not be happier with the work done. The room feels so much bigger, and the work, both in the fine details, and in the overall polish is just stunning.

    J & E Installation
Our 110 year old home needed help! We have lived in this residence for almost 43 years, but about 15 years ago we knew then that it required more than just band-aiding. Having a very old home presented aged problems, but nothing that this incredible team couldn't tackle and overcome with their creative, knowledgeable mission. After checking out several companies, to the rescue came Ed and Jeff, partners in J & E Installation Co. We were immediately impressed in the first in-home contact when Ed surveyed the problems and presented a potential plan of action as to what would be involved (with reasonable estimated costs) starting with windows. Once our decisions were finalized, it was definitely a challenge that they were willing to take on. There was no pressure put upon us; many innovative suggestions were offered by them. From the very beginning a team arrived taking measurements, laying out tools, and bringing a supply of energy with a focus on the job. We really witnessed the incredible teamwork that this work crew demonstrated! There was a lot of productive communication with us; a definite focus on positive customer relations was always evident! Each morning the work crew started with welcoming smiles and a sense of humor as they unloaded heavy equipment, ladders and other necessary implements. Each person demonstrated positive attitudes and were self-directed as the work progressed. At times the heat and humidity of Michigan's notorious summer weather would have slowed down most workmen, but not these guys. We don't even know if they took any breaks other than a brief lunch. They were working on site until late each day. There was constant visible progress which included 2 large picture windows that faced our woods. It was obvious that they wanted to be on schedule. The flurry of detailed action was like a group of worker bees. This company was detail-oriented with perfection as a goal and pride in their workmanship until the last window was in place and trim work finished. Then our beautiful front door with the storm door arrived and the installation team completed their tasks. The clean-up was efficient and also a priority with them and so J & E had given our home new, extended life. This labor of love that they took on will always make them a part of this residence. Now nearly two decades later all of their work still looks new; the windows keep our house warm, are easy to keep clean and everything looked terrific for our home's inclusion in our town's Christmas Home Tour. J & E Installation Company owners are on a first-name basis with us and have kept an open invitation for us to stay in contact with them if we ever need their assistance. Because of their incredible work ethic and bonding, they have never forgotten us. We connect with them regularly when we stop by their displays at the Builders' Shows in Novi, Michigan. We would highly recommend this fantastic business. Their work ethic is something to behold and they are terrific, inspiring role-models for others. The world needs more dedicated professionals like them who can work productively with their team and those who hire them!!!

    Mark Ellis Builders
My 41 year old condo looks as if its had a face lift by the best surgeon around. As in fact it has, As builders are the facelift providers for homes, Mark Ellis may certainly be the best around. He can be relied upon for unerring design advice as well as impeccable craftsmanship. Every room in my 2-story townhouse style condo, including a walkout lower level, was redone from ceilings to new floorings by the most considerate crew of experienced trades people. In addition to the beauty of the finished product and the quality of the workmanship, another attribute of Mr. Ellis which should be mentioned is his attention to detail and concern for the client. He remains in close contact with the client to ascertain needs, to discuss ongoing work, and is speedily responsive via text and telephone at all times. I am positively delighted with my new home and will only consider Mr. Ellis for any additions or changes in the future.

    Dinse Contracting LLC
Extremely well. Every member of Dinse Contracting who worked on this major project over 2/3 months was highly skilled, informative, respectful, efficient, careful and went beyond all our expectations. There was never any construction debris, trash or unsafe work materials. Their professionalism is by far the best we have ever experienced during multiple projects in 50 years of home ownership. We would highly recommend this contractor and every one of his team.

    The Fabulous Mr Fix It
I knew immediately that Adam Sr. was the kind of owner I wanted to deal with when it came to personalizing my "new" 1969 home which required some TLC. He is polite, hilarious, and genuine in answering questions and explaining things (including accurate pricing estimates) over the phone. The website describes a variety of skills his team has without having to hire a specialist like a plumber or an electrician. They have done fantastic work for me over the past three weeks. I am a single female and didn't feel at all uncomfortable being alone with Alex or Adam Jr in my dark basement. Very friendly guys with zero creep factor. Alex hung two TV's for me, one on a concrete wall in the basement and one on plywood that I wasn't sure I could trust to hold the weight. Adam spent the day with me, hanging a kitchen/garage door that he picked up for me, and fixing leaks under a laundry and kitchen sink that had been "repaired" twice before by a local not-very-handy-man. Receptionist Jan is friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating with appointments. Highly, highly recommended.

    Alexandria Windows & Doors
There is a two step process, first a sales guy comes out and provides an overview of base costs, Then if you agree to do the project one of the managers comes out to do a detailed look at the work and you get a detailed quote on the options. The only thing in the whole deal that was not as explained was that the installation day took longer than estimated. They said 2 hrs for the install. It took about six hours however the attention to detail and cleanup was great. Door shuts like a bank vault. We had one glitch regarding the alarm sensor cover but I'm handling that with a new sensor coming from our alarm service provider. The door is manufactured in Canada and is superb and substantial in construction. We opted for the internal blinds and upgraded locks. We are pleased with what we got.

My Handyman of Ann Arbor, Saline, and Chelsea
The work was completed in a timely manner but took longer than originally quotes. This was due to the age of the home and additional supplies needed and not reflective of the worker. The quality of work was superior and the professionalism of both the handyman and owner exceeded my expectations.

    EMH Improvements
We chose EMH Improvements over two other companies which bid for our job. We liked Eli's direct no-nonsense style, his prior reviews were excellent, and his bid was substantially below his competitors' (especially for the basement.) Because they were in demand, they were not able to begin work right away, but they kept us updated as our proposed start date drew closer. When they got started, they were able to make rapid progress, and while we were not able to get the work finished on the original timeline, this was because we continually added to the project, so EMH was not to blame for this. Overall, we're very happy with the quality of the work that was done, the interactions we had with Eli and with John, and with Eli's willingness to come back out and fix anything that wasn't quite right. We will definitely contact EMH Improvements for all of our future projects.
