    Dinse Contracting LLC
We hired Brian Dinse and his crew to work with us on redoing our second full bathroom. The original floor plan had a very small cubicle shower that had developed a leak over the years and needed to be fixed. We knew we'd have to basically go down to the studs in that room and build back up, and Brian had great ideas and vision for what could be done there. We have baseboard heat in the home, and so we knew we'd want to relocate a radiator in order to make the best use of the available space, and Brian brought one of his team in early to consult with us about the best way to work around that limitation. It really helped me feel comfortable with him and his team to know that they were thinking about that kind of thing up front. Brian helped us with tile and fixture selections and overall design - he has a great feel for modern design that really aligned with what we wanted to do in the space. Once the work started, everyone that was involved were amazing. We enjoyed having all of the crew in our house, they went out of their way to make sure that we knew what was going on, and that we were comfortable with everything as the work progressed. The demo and rough in went by in a flash, and while the tile took some time, it was definitely time well spent - the attention to detail and professionalism by all of the guys was fantastic. They showed me everything that was going on; talked me through all the plumbing and structural work - no mysteries for us in that bathroom any more, which is very comforting to me as a homeowner. And the end result is, without a doubt, the nicest room in the whole house. We could not be happier with the work done. The room feels so much bigger, and the work, both in the fine details, and in the overall polish is just stunning.

    Mark Ellis Builders
My 41 year old condo looks as if its had a face lift by the best surgeon around. As in fact it has, As builders are the facelift providers for homes, Mark Ellis may certainly be the best around. He can be relied upon for unerring design advice as well as impeccable craftsmanship. Every room in my 2-story townhouse style condo, including a walkout lower level, was redone from ceilings to new floorings by the most considerate crew of experienced trades people. In addition to the beauty of the finished product and the quality of the workmanship, another attribute of Mr. Ellis which should be mentioned is his attention to detail and concern for the client. He remains in close contact with the client to ascertain needs, to discuss ongoing work, and is speedily responsive via text and telephone at all times. I am positively delighted with my new home and will only consider Mr. Ellis for any additions or changes in the future.

Extremely well. Every member of Dinse Contracting who worked on this major project over 2/3 months was highly skilled, informative, respectful, efficient, careful and went beyond all our expectations. There was never any construction debris, trash or unsafe work materials. Their professionalism is by far the best we have ever experienced during multiple projects in 50 years of home ownership. We would highly recommend this contractor and every one of his team.

You Got A Guy Construction LLC
The work done was fantastic. Terry worked with us the whole time letting us know status, issues or new ideas he might have. He was always available to talk on the phone and discuss anything. I actually called him after the framing was done at like 10pm to tell him that I thought the bedroom closet wasn't going to work in its current location and that I thought it should be moved, which he very calmly told me that it was no problem and asked me to mark where I thought it would make more sense to have it, which I did. Next day, Kevin came in and redid the framing for the closet in the location I marked, they didn't even charge us anything extra for that. We also ended up asking for a bench in the bathroom shower which was not on the original plans that we agreed on, Terry incorporated it quickly with no complaints. Terry also handled working with the city inspector regarding the permits. Our basement design ened up having a lower ceiling in one section in the middle of it which was lower that 7 feet, this was because the basement ceiling was weird (HVAC ducts, PVC pipes and other portruding things past the bottom of the joists) and it would cause some parts to be higher in that section that others, so Terry asked us if it would make sense to bring it down to the lowest hieght section so it could be even and square, to which we agreed. However, the ceiling that low (about 6 feet 8 inches including drywall) is not up to code and the city inspector would not approve the framing however Terry worked relentlessly with the cheif inspector so that they would understand why it was like that and the issues it would cause if it wasn't done this way, he even got the cheif inspector to come out and take a look for himself so he could understand. Once he saw and understood everything, he signed off on the permits. This did delay our timing which was unfortunate but everything was properly done and approved which was the more important thing. Also the lower section ended up being a welcome addition to the layout of the room since the home theater secition is right under it and it looks like we had ennvisioned it that way from the beginning, sort of highlighting the section (we also paited it a differet color to accent it). Now we can't even envision it being any other way. Finally, Terry's and Kevin's help in the home theater section was invaluable. I purchased a bunch of things to add to it but they installed everything, we are talking running cables (speaker, subwoofer, ethernet, IR eye, Coax, HDMI), installing in-wall speakers (including a bit of special framing for my center channel speaker), setting up a specific section in the ceiling where we could hang the HD projector (making sure there was enough distance to project a big enough image) and installing the projector mount, helping me hang a 100 inch home theater screen, putting some boards up in the control room to neatly connect all the speakers, etc. Overall we had a fantastic experience with Terry, Kevin and the rest of the crew/skilled trades (which are all really good at what they do). The only issue, which is minor AND was affected by the permit issue, was the time it took to complete, however in the end the quality was worth the wait. We would definitely hire You Got a Guy again in a second. I am very picky about who I hire to work on my home and I can say that You Got a Guy Contruction is at the top of my list for any other home improvement work I might need. I already want to get them to work on my master bathroom and throw some ideas at them, unfortunately I need to save up some money before doing that otherwise they might be in there right now working on it. Thanks to Terry, Kevin and the whole You Got a Guy Contruction crew, we love our basement and use it every single day!!!!

Brian helped me figure out what I wanted the finished product to look like, presenting a lot of design ideas that I hadn't considered, and then saw the project through from demolition to finish. The demolition phase was extensive - several walls were removed. The house is old (1878) so everything found under the surface was not always as expected (the joists under the subfloor weren't level with each other, for example) - some situations called for extensive remediation, which Brian's crew met with no issues. HVAC ducts had to be moved. The arrangement of the bathroom was completely different than what had been there previously, so plumbing had to be rearranged. The bathroom work included framing, insulation, ceiling can lights and exhaust fan ducted to the exterior of the house, drywall, plumbing, trim, painting, and a lot of tile work, including the floor, a jacuzzi tub enclosure, and a full tile shower. The workmanship in general is great. I am very impressed with the tile work. The kitchen work included removing a wall between the kitchen and pantry, and replacing the wall between the kitchen and dining room with a more open setup, including an arched doorway to match other architectural features in the house, and an open breakfast bar. The arrangement of appliances was updated to a more modern layout. A tile floor was installed here as well. I chose and purchased cabinets and Brian and his crew installed them. Also included was ceiling can lights, range hood vented to the opposite exterior wall, plumbing, insulation, drywall, trim, and painting. Additional small projects included in the cost here - the bottom half of the attic stairway adjacent to the bathroom had always been absent, Brian built a replacement. One of the historic garage doors was about a quarter missing, Brian extrapolated and reconstructed it to match the existing door. The only thing not included in the cost is the kitchen cabinets themselves (installation of the cabinets is included), counters, and appliances (with the exception of the stainless steel range hood, which is included), which I am purchasing separately. Designer double bathroom vanity was included.

Overall I'm extremely pleased with everything.  I wanted to wait a month before reviewing to allow some time living in the space and now I spend more time in the new spaces than anywhere else.
    Customer Service
What impressed me the most was Terry's communication and customer service.  He was always very quick to return calls and answer emails to ensure we were always on the same page and there was never confusion on what was going to be accomplished and when. He was upfront with pricing and direct on how changes to the plan would affect cost. I never felt out of the loop or surprised.
    Quality
I'm very happy with the finished look. Every finished space has a professional look. He was great about hiding pipes and allowing light during the design process. My finished office is wonderfully quiet due to his insulation recommendation. The wainscoting is beautiful. The painting is crisp. The rooms are as warm as the ground floor.
    Process
While I think the timeline was longer than originally expected, the process did move along pretty quickly and there were never any points were we were "just waiting".  Terry's crew and subcontractors were respectful, patient and professional.  They were generally timely and discreet. I have two small kids and there was never an issue with the flow of the house while they worked. In fact my son wants to be builder just like Kevin the carpenter now.

    Priority Paint and Drywall
When we did our rewiring, the electricians had to drill a few holes (ok, a lot of holes) to get the knob & tube out and run the new stuff. It's a 1920's house with lathe & plaster, and we had some other cracks  going on, so we decided to bring in a professional to repair. Larry was communicative, tidy (as tidy as humanly possible with plaster repair and sanding!), and did good work. We chose to have the holes repaired with drywall plugs, and the cracks repaired by plastering. He also primed the patch areas. Looked great!
He quoted us painting at the same time- a good price for all the downstairs, the stairs, and a bit of upstairs- but we chose not to tackle that project at the time.

This was an intimidating project that Brian saw through from start to finish.  From repairing and replacing dry-rotted and missing clapboard and trim (preserving intricate historic details such as crown molding all over the house), through to painting.  It's a very large house and it was in very bad shape, and looks fantastic now.  If I can attach pictures, they will speak for themselves.
Brian and his crew were professional, communicative, and did the work as promised.  There were no unpleasant surprises, only pleasant ones.
