    Speedy Appliance Repair
I called this company based on the reviews from Angie's list. The company location was in Royal Oak and since I live Downriver (Riverview) I asked if I was in their service area. I was asked what other cities are around Riverview (not a good sign). I was assured that I was in the service area and set up an appointment for someone to come look at my dryer the next day (Saturday) between 1 and 3. No one showed up. Received no call. When I called back,no one answered the phone even though it was within their Saturday work hours. Maybe they are better with people that live around Royal Oak, but if you're not around that, don't call this place!

    Keith's Appliance Repair
Prompt service, very  reasonable price ($600 parts and labor), excellent work.  After the job was complete the owner came over to inspect the workmanship and to verify that I was happy with the service.

    Downriver Trusted HVAC LLC
A couple of months ago I contacted Downriver Trusted HVAC to do some modifications to increase the efficiency of my new 97% efficient Goodman furnace. Jason said he was unfamiliar with Goodman but wanted to learn so I hired him to install a communicating themostat, and a roof fan to help cool the upstairs and a valve for the central air to regulate the coolant better. everything seemed to work great and the efficiency and comfort was much better. I also asked him to get me a compressor pad to lift my compressor but after I paid him he stopped answering my phone calls and texts. then in November he finally answered a phone call from me (thinking he forgot my number) I let him know that my humidifier which had worked last year before he installed the communicating thermostat wasn't working he agreed to look at it. after he determined it to be a faulty circuit board he charged me $100 labor and rewired the humidifier to work with the thermostat that it was hooked up to originally. He seemed very confused and wanted to figure out why it wouldn't work hooked up to the thermostat and said he would return the next Friday no charge to get it right. after about 3 weeks of missed appointments he once again stopped taking my phone calls and texts.

    Busen's Appliance
The technician was very helpful and courteous. All that was needed was that the wires needed to be cleaned. He explained that condensation can cause the wiring to become corroded which can keep the ignitor from working properly. We are very thankful for the helpful people at Busen's Appliance.

    Appliance Guy
I called him and he came that day. He told me I needed a lid-switch and explained to me how it effects the spin cycle. He told me it would cost me $110 dollars to fix it. After already spending almost $140 dollars on a timer, I told him I'd have to talk to my husband first. So, I paid him $30 dollars for the service call and I'd call him back.
After he left I called three other appliance repair places and asked them how much they would charge to replace a lid-switch? One said around $155 dollars. Another said $147 and the last one said it would run $163 dollars.
I called the Appliance Guy back and he was back the next day with the part and he had the job done in no-time. I paid him $140 dollars, $110 +$30 for the service call and he said no, it was $110 total. No extra for the service call, it was all included. I was shocked. Not to mention he brought us a free pizza the first time he came.
The Appliance Guy really saved me money. I could have saved even more if I'd just called him first instead of listening to my husband. Sometimes you just got to call the right person. I'm so glad my girlfriend gave me his number. I'll definitely call him again.
Honest, professional and really affordable. Nice guy too. I highly recommended the Appliance Guy to everyone in and around the Downriver Area who may need their appliances fixed.

We have an appliance repair service plan with them. They were great. They came out right away and took care of it. It was covered in our insurance plan. The charge was only for the part as we pay a monthly service for the coverage. When we registered for the service, we gave them the main concerns of our appliances and we put them under it. They had a lot of the parts in their truck already when they came out. We liked that it was just one call to them and they would send out the right technician for the appliance in question whether it was the furnace or the water heater or in this case the refrigerator. There were also some other appliances that we owned like washer and dryer on which we have not had any work done. They did come out and do some work on the stove two years ago. The gas broke off and they did have to order that. Their price is wonderful and it is only few dollars a month. It covers all the major appliances. They also have different programs and we could do only one appliance that we wanted but there are upto eight appliances that we could include. They come out the next day from Monday through Saturday but they don't work on a Sunday if it is an emergency. However, they would come out and shut off the gas if you want them to. They came out the next day in both the cases. Their price was excellent. The technician had to be certified in a wide range of makes and models. Our refrigerator was older and so, he had to make a call to the service center to ask some questions about it but he did it right away without having to come back. They were very prompt. They came exactly when they were supposed to.

It took a couple of tries but Advanced Appliance did great. They had to do some extra work troubleshooting, as this was a bit complex. Also they were always on time and prompt. I will use them again.
