Provider was requiring a $75 fee to come out and quote a job - told me it would go towards the job if we contracted with him.  Who doesn't give free estimates in this day and age?  This is a job for my mother's house to keep her living there as long as possible.  Needless to say I did not pay the $75.  (Sorry it took me so long to post my review).

I am planning an extensive bathroom remodel.  Have company coming shortly, so needed a new toilet right away.  Josh arrived, very professional  and customer oriented in his approach.    I thought I was only going to do the estimate.  Josh was willing to get and install the toilet that same day. Top grade Kohler extra tall toilet ,jumbo wax, bolts and new supply line was installed.  Old toilet was removed and taken away.  Total cost was $550 which I was very satisfied with.  He did a quick efficient very clean job. I will be using this company for the remainder of the remodel later this summer. Its a case of great work by great people.  As an aside....I used this company a little over a year ago to remodel a small 1/2 bath and I have to say their work is still up to a very high standard.  I will use this Company for all of my future plumbing work.  You will not be disappointed if you talk with Shawn Denny, the owner of this pluming co.

    McDowell's Tile & Sons
Jim was very prompt in calling back and scheduling an estimate.  Total job was more expensive than originally estimated because I added in the cleaning and sealing of the tile on the dining room and kitchen (not originally planned).  He was very careful to make sure that the work he was doing didn't disrupt the rest of the house by putting a tarp up and sealing off the work area from the rest of the house. When the job ran a little longer, he came back on a Saturday morning to finish some stuff up.  I would definitely recommend Jim to anyone that wants any tile work done.  While the price was a bit higher than what another general contractor had quoted me, it was well worth it and will be keeping Jim's phone number in case we have any other tile work that needs to be done.  Jim does a great job that everyone is sure to notice - everyone that has come to our house since the new back splash was installed comments on how awesome it is.

Ham and Perkins men, on time, dependable, had each day planned out for projects, & completed them as planned & projected. Were cheerful, considerate, clean, focused & very definitely reasonable. We are already planning to use them again as weather permits. Just excellent work!

    MC DANIELS KITCHEN & BATH
McDaniel's is a mixed bag of good and bad.  We cannot recommend them however because they did not stand behind their work when issues arose.  Dave, the designer, helped us make some good choices, but he also led us astray on other choices.  His lack of knowledge of how some of those products would  work (or not work) in our bath led to issues later on during installation.  For example, we were led to believe that extra body sprays would work in our shower, but the plumber could not install them so they could actually be used.  It's been 2 years and I have only used them once.  We were assured that the fan would be "whisper quiet," but it is noisier than the one that was replaced.  Also, we cannot use the fan and have the floor heater on at the same time without tripping the GFCI on the heater control.  The electrician replaced the control, but it still trips.  The response after that was simply that we were wrong about any connection to the fan, and that they didn't know what caused it.  Some of their subs are excellent (drywall, plumbing), but others needed supervision.  Mario, the tiler, can do excellent work, but he also makes mistakes when he tries to work too fast.  He always seemed to be concerned more about getting to his next job than finishing our job.  The project manager, Steve, was a no show.  Even though many issues arose during our project, I never spoke to Steve on the phone and never saw him at our house.  We would leave messages on his cell phone, and a day or two later he would leave a message on our land line.  I think he knew this was a way to avoid actually speaking to us.  In the weeks following completion of our project, we had problems with the new toilet that had been installed.  The owner, Don, became involved and did not immediately stand behind his products or work.  He dragged it out for a weeks while he claimed to be checking with Kohler for a replacement.  Ultimately, they replaced the toilet, but not without a lot of time and effort wasted on our part.  We did not expect a project like this to go without glitches, but it was very disappointing that McDaniel's did not always stand behind its work.

    Jack Duncan Palmer Builder
Jack came when he said was going to come, worked consistently.  Jack brought appropriate tradesmen when needed. I had an extended trip on the middle of the project and he came back afterwards and completed all the details.  He gave me an estimate and stuck to it.

Work went great with one step after another completed by fine workman.  Wallpaper man came and removed all the old wallpaper from bathroom.    Then old toilet and sink were removed.  Tile man came next to put in a new tile floor.  After ripping out the old floor, water damage over the years had completly damaged the sub-floor. He had to tear out and completely rebuild a new sub- floor before the new tile could be installed. He did a great job on all aspects of the job.  Once tile had set properly, wallpaper man returned to re-wallpaper the bathroom.  Shawn and his helper returned to install the new toilet and sink and a new light. (Excellent professional work) He noticed that the interier door trim that had been removed to do the tile work had been cracked.  Shawn replaced all the door trim with new trim.  All in all I could not be more satisfied with the job and the people that did the work.  Everything completed in a professional and timely manner

    Palmer Construction
The staff was very sensitive to our needs and concerns, and were flexible.  We were making significant changes to all of our three bathrooms, but bathroom facilities were always available to us throughout the construction.
We used their interior design person.  Again, this was a very positive experience.  She was responsive and flexible.  Her services were essential to beautiful final product.

    KC Contracting Co Inc
I was all ready to use a different company for my roof when I found Kris and his company, KC Contracting. He came in and gave us a fantastic quote for the roof, a shed, and driveway, but most importantly, he gave us the piece of mind that he was going to give us superior quality. I will be hiring his company for a new front door replacement, a new kitchen, a garage, and many other items. I trust his attention to detail. He really provides a personal touch to his projects, and I highly recommend him for roofing, remodeling, doors, windows, bathrooms, and out-buildings.

    All Phase Remodeling Inc
After evaluating the area, they determined that the wall most likely had heating ducts in it and wouldn't work for the original plan we had in mind. They offered suggestions and a rough estimate of some exploratory work they could do in order to try a modified version of what we had hoped to do. We decided not to pursue at this time, but they were very thorough, helpful, and professional.
