    WireWorks Inc
Tom arrived on time and after I explained the problem, went right to work. Said he'd like to start at the furthest point from the apparent cause and work his way backward. Started in the spare bedroom, removed one outlet and found the problem in less than 1 minute. (OK, he got lucky, but sometimes you make your own luck!) He said the original electrician (home built in 1968) took some short-cuts that helped precipitate the problem. He re-wired the outlet properly, answered ALL my questions (even some related to other electrical work) and was on his way in 20 minutes. Gave us the 20% "Quick and Easy Discount." Very happy and will hire again if needed.

It went excellent. I would recommend them. They were very prompt, very professional and very expedient. I think that, that is a cell phone number for them. It’ just not returning calls promptly is what they could improve on. How I got their name is that I called like 3 different places and he was the only one that responded. One placed I got, I got their name from a friend who had done the same work, but they were so busy that they weren’t even taking new customers. The two other I had, McEwen and another one, the other guy never even showed up. I can’t say for sure where I found McEwen at.

Called to arrange a quote and was informed there was a $50 fee. So much for competitive bidding. This contractor wants you to pay them so they can get your work, of course the fee comes off your quote if you award it to them. To many other good contractors to do business with.

Becky at WireWorks was able to contact Tom, one of the electricians, out at a jobsite that was nearly complete, and they were able to coordinate picking up additional electrical components and arriving at the farm in just over an hour and a half. Tom was completely prepared for the situation, with tall rubber boots to work down in the excavation trench, the appropriate splicing kits for the cables, and extra cable lengths to replace the broken sections of the runs. He even had the proper breaker available in the truck when we discovered that the large main breaker (an older and somewhat obscure brand) in the barn had failed. He gave credit to Becky for the foresight to have one of those breakers in the truck. Overall, Tom was very professional and personable, prompt, and efficient. He was also extremely careful in the identification of the wire ends and the execution of the splices, and the protection of the spliced ends of the wires from the underground elements (water, shifting soils, etc.). In the process of examining the systems to identify the wires properly, he was also able to give me advice on how my available service amperage and breaker box capacities could be expanded to allow for barn and house additions that are being planned without the whole system being upgraded to a higher amperage service. All in all, an excellent experience.

Tom was very helpful by making a suggestion to change the outlet from 15 amp to 20 amp. We tried that on our own and it solved the problem. We would definitely call WireWorks for any electrical work in the future.

The lights and outlets in my dining room and sun room havent worked since the breaker tripped, and my brother and I tried several times to reset the breaker, with no luck.  Tom from WireWorks must have the magic touch, because the breaker reset for him just fine.  However, it didnt fix the problem.  Tom checked the wiring in all of the outlets that werent working and found the one that was causing the problem.  A quick fix of the loose wires and I have lights again!  He also redistributed the load on some of the circuit breakers while he was inspecting the electrical panel, and thoroughly explained the options and costs for replacing the panel.  I asked if he had time to replace a loose light switch and look at a switch in the garage that Ive had problems with, and he was able to do both.  Tom was prompt, courteous, and extremely helpful in answering all of my questions.  He did a lot of work in a fairly short time period.  I plan to hire WireWorks to replace my electrical panel early next year, and I would highly recommend this company!

    Thee Electric Co
It seems like this shouldn't have been such an ordeal, but it certainly was. Gas company came out to drop off tank and Thee tried to convincing me that the only place for the tank would be right in the middle of my flower garden in the front of my house...a quick call to my dear husband got that cleared up right away...now it's in my back yard where it belongs. They installed the box for the unit on the front my home, the FRONT. So when we pulled in the driveway the giant ugly box with a giant scribbled "1" and "2" were the first things we saw. Made them move it to the side of my garage wall so it wasn't the first thing we saw when we pulled in our driveway. Used a magic eraser in an attempt to get rid of the giant numbers...seriously I don't need a 6" tall scribbled number on a utility box. Now we have holes in our siding to replace after they moved it. We had to have the inspector come out to make sure everything was installed correctly...sounds like Thee has to do this with all installs and of course there were errors to fix. I was really uncomfortable during the inspection because the Thee representative was asking me very misleading questions in front of the inspector in an effort to avoid doing future work ( load shed issue with multiple geothermal units ). So they had to come back again to fix that...just received an invoice for $60 bucks to cover that fix...a fix they should have gotten correct the dozen visits beforehand. Way too many calls, way too many visits, way too many times of feeling like they were trying to get out of doing the install properly.

    A-OK MECHANICAL
The person who arrived at the house was friendly, however it appeared he did not know why he was there.  He asked "What can I do for you today?"  I suspect he was dispatched to the house with no explanation of the work to be performed.  I explained that I had paid for a "whole house electrical inspection."  He retrieved a screw driver from his van and proceeded into the garage.  After looking around for a minute or two he suggested I run a new electrical line from an outlet to the a refrigerator in the garage, although it would only be for cosmetic purposes.  We moved outside, and from the ground, he viewed the piping where the electricity enters the house on the roof and stated it looked fine to him.  We then went to the basement where he viewed the breaker box and looked around the ceiling area with his smartphone flashlight app.
There was no checklist, no electricity/voltage meter, no identifiable system of "whole house electrical inspection."  He never actually touched anything accept in the basement where he shook some wires near the furnace, but reported they were "okay."  He was at my house for about 20 minutes total and 5 of that was spent in the kitchen talking about the weather.  This was a complete rip-off. After the visit, I have no additional information about the state of the electrical system in my house.

They arrived on time and executed work in less than the quoted time and provided *more* service and parts than was promised. This was very much appreciated. The transfer switch came with a 10 foot cable, but Tom was able to modify a longer existing wire I had at no additional cost for me. They installed everything, cleaned up, and demonstrated the system for my wife and I. Excellent service and will use again!!
