    The consultant Larry is very good. He understands when you say my car is making this sound and he doesn't look at you like you're a nut. They have been very good to me. I drive across the bridge to Tampa even though I live in St. Pete's. Definitely mention Larry. He is a service guy who writes up your ticket. I always ask for him specifically.

    We had the van at another transmission place that was referred to my son. I went on Angie's list and recommended RC  and he called RC  He received a quote from RC over the phone which was cheaper then the other company and they picked it up from the other company and towed it to their company free of charge. It took them a week to fix only because we said we weren't in any rush since we had another  vehicle for him to use. The best part of this company is they guaranteed the work for as long as he owned the van. The other company only guaranteed their work for 90 days. I would recommend this company to anyone needing transmission work. They have a great crew working for them, very personable.

    Estimates from dealer and one other garage ranged from $1400 to $1885.  The 2004 Pilot has a one piece exhaust system.  Moe was able to order the part for the next day and completed the install in 45 mins.  Moe is extremely knowledgeable.  He is the personification of the old neighborhood auto repair guy.  He looks for ways to save the customer money and time.
    Highly recommend him for routine repairs.
    One particular note, the other two service centers claimed that the pricing included a lifetime warranty on the installed exhaust system, it turns out that this warranty comes from the part manufacturer and Moe was able to provide the same warranty for a fraction of the cost!

    Took my 2009' Ford Escape in for an oil change and asked Don to look at break pads they were feeling a little soft to me. Also told Don that I felt something wrong with the rear end and would he have time to look at that also. He told me he would look at everything and call me before he did any of the major work other than the oil change. The wife picked me up and we went shopping over at SAMs Club around the corner. We took the items home and put them away. My phone rang and it was Don's Garage. He told me the pads were almost worn down and it was definitely time for new pads and rotors and then he told me about the sway links. I gave the go ahead and expected to get the car back the next day. Two hours later Don called me and the work was done. Then he asked if I needed a ride back to the shop, that was a shock. But my wife drove me back up. When I got there Don showed me the old pads and rotors and explained in detail what was going on with them and why they wore out. Then he let me see the worn out sway links and again in great detail but in a way that even my wife could understand and we were not made to feel dum or anything like that. He then lifted the car up on one of his hoist and showed us the new parts and how they work. Very impressed by the way he took the time with us to give us a very good understanding of the work and what to look for later on down the road. Don is very nice and very knowledgable and it was a very interesting experience. Oh and before we left Don checked all the fluids and filled up the windshield washer reservoir. I will definitely be taking all my vehicles to Don's Garage whenever they need work. Very impressed with Don's place and the work he had done. I highly recommend Don's Garage to anyone needing work done to the families vehicles.

    I was so impressed with the quality, service, professionalism and workmanship of this company. I had work perform from other companies in the past. There work is by far the best that I have seen with the paint job they did is first rate. The total restoration of my vehicle is top notch. I highly recommend the use of this company.

    Because the price was so high we took it to another shop where they told us my son's car was out of gas-that was the only problem.  I had to get a note from the shop to take to Autolab to get the $95 they charged to diagnose the "bad" fuel pump.  It was given grudgingly with no apology

    I don't drive very often, so the battery was dead when I tried to start my Prius this morning. I called Ameristar to cancel my appointment. My husband was able to jump it, so I called Ameristar a second time before heading over. John Losen Jr. (owner/president) had no problem with me waiting there until they finished; however, my husband followed me in his truck (just in case the battery died). Ameristar installed specialty film on the front window and smoke tint on the rest. The hardest part for me will be remembering not to open the windows for four days. Ameristar also installed wind/rain deflectors on my husband's truck two years ago. When I asked about it, he remembers being a satisfied customer. He loves his deflectors!I chose Ameristar because of their ratings on Angie's list. Many thanks to all of you for making my experience with Ameristar even greater! John is expecting my call next week to set up an appointment for him to measure our door-walls at home and give us a quote to have them tinted as well.

    Went to Sparks Auto, based on Angies list reviews. This was after Belle Tire turned the job away, claiming they could not get a radiator for this vehicle. Sparks accepted the job, and located the necessary parts while I was at the counter. This was at approx. 10am. They promised the car to be ready the following evening. To my surprise, they called me latter the same afternoon to inform me my car was ready! They did a great job, and even made a couple of electrical repairs to broken wires they discovered while replacing the radiator, NO CHARGE. They did as I asked, did not inflate the price, and never tried to talk me up with any other repairs. Price was very competitive. Great guys, I would highly recommend Sparks to anyone needing car repairs!
