    Scheduled a repair call for my dryer a week in advance. Tech did not show up and called right at the end of the appointment window to ask me to call Sears' 800 number and reschedule. No explanation or apologies for missing the appointment. The call center are something else. Sat on hold for 20 minutes only to be advised that the next available appointment they had was 4 days away. Requested to speak to a supervisor and they hung up on me while transferring the call. Rang back, sat another 20 minutes on hold plus 10-15 minutes waiting for a supervisor, and was hung up on again. I then received an email rescheduling the appointment for a window that I had already told them on the phone was unacceptable. Avoid like the plague. I cancelled the appointment online and went with a local firm who answered the phone on the first ring 10 minutes before closing on a Friday afternoon, and were able to have a tech sent out the following Saturday morning. That's service.

    I highly recommend Dan Appliance Repair! I called Dan in the later part of the evening and he was over within the hour. He quickly identified the issue and quoted the price for repair. He showed me the price for the replacement part online to make sure I was comfortable. The overall price, including labor, was very reasonable. Dan was very professional, knowledgeable and efficient. He also has a 6 month guarantee on any work performed. You will not regret hiring Dan!

    Very well. Tony answered my questions after a phone call explaining my problem. After calling a few other providers, as well as the manufacturer, I elected to hire Tony's and pay the $50 service call, hoping that he could fix the problem, rather than just replacing the $145 maker. Tony came to my house the following day, and patiently tested the ice cube maker, to fully diagnose the possibility of repairs vs replacement. Tony accurately determined that the problem may well be a faulty relay switch. He replaced the switch, and adjusted the amount of water intake. He patiently ran several tests to his satisfaction. I am very happy to report that the GE ice maker now works perfectly, and my total cost was only $90.

    When I called, I told him what I thought the issue was - that the foot had become loose and the machine needed balanced. He declined to give a quote over the phone, and he was on time, waived the service charge, and spent 15 minutes to balance and level my existing machine using only my own parts. There's only a 30 day guarantee on labor, and I feel like the price was way too high. I confirmed the price with his home office and they wouldn't budge. The work itself was fine, but I think the price was a bit much. I could see $100, but not $165.

    Speedway Refrigeration & Appliance Repair
    Called to schedule service, Mr. Moss advised he was in the area and showed up within 30 minutes! Confirmed the problem and fixed it within the hour. Mr. Moss was extremely professional and very courteous to my children, letting them watch and engaging them along the way. This was our first time using Mr. Moss and we will not hesitate to do so again if needed in the future.

    Jim replaced the dryer vent which had crimped. He cleaned the vent, from the basement and from outside. The coil required replacement also. The motor was noisy when the job was completed. Jim explained that the dryer had put additional stress on the motor when it was not working properly. He anticipated that the motor would have to be replaced, but asked me to try a few loads. He was right, the motor went out after the second load. Dan came to replace the motor. It was difficult to remove, so he had to break the blower wheel to get the motor out. He replaced the motor and the blower wheel.

    There was an water leak in the fridge, and they could not find it. I found the leak. I paid $90.00 dollars, and I had no issues locating the leak. They said sorry bub. They only had to uncover the reservoir, to see the little hole in the tank. I had to order the part, and fix the issue myself. Most of the time when we have used them, they have been pretty good.

    I have a service contract through Consumers for repair. I pay $24.95 a month. They only do it Monday through Friday and that was an issue for me. They initially sent the wrong part, so there was a delay. They were very good, however they do not do service calls on a weekend and that's a big one.
