Carpentry repairs on exterior of house

The contractor was responsive and punctual and walked through the needs with me. Next step was to send me an estimate for the work. No estimate was ever received, despite a couple of follow-up reminder emails. I wasted a month of time trying to get a response. If the job is too small, a contractor should just say so at the time. Then the customer can quickly continue the search for someone else to do the work.

Examined various carpentry jobs I needed done and promised an estimate. He had been recommended by another carpenter who was solidly booked until January.

Mike arrived on time as promised and was courteous in looking over the jobs to be estimated. However, the estimate was never sent, and there was no further response from him, despite two inquiries by email. I know this is a busy time for builders, but I would have appreciated some type of response, even if to say that the job was too small for him to take on or that he was too busy right now. Instead, I wasted several weeks waiting and writing to inquire about the estimate.
