    AJ's Appliance Repair
THe would not do it. He took the kick plate and said the tiles were too high. He never even tried. It cost me $80 and he felt he couldnt do it. I called another handyman (not on your list) to get rid of the tiles and he said he didnt need to do it. He put my dishwasher in without taking out the tiles.

Mark did a great job! He was professional courteous and kept me well informed. Several trips were made and from the beginning he was up front and honest about my issues and repairs. In regards to the dishwasher he told me it would be a 50/50 on being able to repair it. He worked very hard at trying but was unable to fix the issues. Not his fault the break damaged the units basic structure. To my benefit he did refer me to someone who gave me a great deal on a new unit. I would and have recommended Mark to others already and will use him again.

    The Appliance Doctor
He opened up the refrigerator and left it all apart and unfastened when he left. Said he would get back with me later with an estimate. On the phone he told me $50 for diagnosis, then tried to charge $65. Said he could not fix it. Tony's Repair from White Lake found the issue, found the part and charged a fair price

They were outstanding. My Frigidaire Gallery side-by-side was having issues: the fridge half worked great, but the freezer side only worked intermittently. The guys with Appliance Doctors had a hunch it was a bad relay switch and replaced it. The entire job was under an hour and by the next morning, the freezer was fully functional again. These guys are great! Highly recommended.

We were a little worried about paying a non-refundable service call charge, but we talked through the problem with the person who answered the phone and they were very reassuring that they had a good idea of what the problem was and that they could fix it quickly. They were right, something was stuck in the dryer, preventing it from turning on and they removed the object, cleaned out the vent trap and we were back in business in less than 30 minutes. I don't remember the exact charge, but it was much less than replacing the dryer, which was what we were thinking we'd have to do. Definitely less than $100.

    ERNIE & JOE'S APPLIANCE SERVICE
The first time he came out he said that the pump was bad and needed to be replaced. Once the new pump was installed the next week the washer was spinning but no longer draining at all. Once he finally took the front off of the washer he discovered in one of the drains that a sock had been stuck in there. He didn't charge for the new pump but I also had to wait a week without my washer for a part that wasn't even needed. He did call and let me know the approximate times and called ahead of getting there, which was greatly appreciated.

    BERKLEY APPLIANCE
I was painting with oil inside of my house, while my wife started some laundry. I took a break to catch some fresh air, and I smelled a strong odor of natural gas, or butane. I was baffled as to what it was since we weren't doing anything that I thought would have caused this problem. I went down stairs and the odor got stronger and I narrowed it down to the fact that the dryer smelled awfully similar to gas and I immediately shut it off. At first I thought it was the motor burning out, and I was getting worried. We tried to run the dryer again and it got worse. I freaked out because I thought for sure this meant we had to buy a new dryer. I called Berkley Appliance, after hours, and Jim answered the phone and answered my questions politely and with precision. He told me that the chemicals of the paint actually reacted in a way that the dryer was giving off that sense of smell, and that it wasn't an immediate problem. I was completely baffled because I am a local painting contractor and I have NEVER had this problem!! I couldn't believe what I was hearing, and he put my mind at ease. He told me to run the dryer on "no heat" for 30 minutes and the problem should be remedied...as it was! I couldn't have asked for a better experience with this guy, and I am definitely going to be using his services (shall I required them), and I will definitely be referring him to my customers and my family in the future if need be. Super impressed, and the fact that he is a Angie's List member like I am, and he handled the situation with confidence, only makes it better. Thanks again!

Our dryer had been making tons of noise, so I had them come out to fix it.  I also had a problem with my washer left over from a time when I took it apart, so I asked him to fix that as well even though he probably did not have that worked into his schedule for the day.  He fixed the dryer and the washer, as well as showed me that our agitator on the washer was not working correctly and fixed that as well.  Very professional and great work.  I will utilize this company for all of my future appliance repairs.
