"In general, we were pleased, and we did implement quite a bit of their advice, particularly around feeding. One of our two rescues has pretty major confidence issues (she was a puppy mill rescue), and had not been eating enough. As soon as we got the feeder toys that
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
recommended, she was much more interested in her food, and we were able to go back to
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
and stop feeding her the high calorie canned food we had been giving her to keep her from starving. I do think it also had an impact on her confidence, although it's so hard to tell with her exactly what has caused a specific behavior change.
The feeding advice was also useful with our other rescue, who is extremely food motivated, and extremely intelligent. We went directly to an advanced feeder for her, and it took her about 20 seconds to figure out how to get the food out. She hasn't eaten out of a dog bowl since then. I think it's done a lot to keep her from getting bored, and to challenge her, and we have gotten a couple of other feeders to make life more interesting for her.
To be honest, some of the other advice might be good, but we don't have the time and patience to implement all of it. We both work full time, although we both have enough flexibility that one or the other us is usually home with them at least one or two days during the work week, but the last thing I am interested in doing at the end of the day is teaching a very stubborn dog to walk on a treadmill, to deal with days like we've had this winter where it's too cold for man or beast to be out there very long. I also understand the value of agility training to provide exercise and increase confidence, but I was a little perplexed that we started with "over" when neither dog had actually mastered "sit" or "come."
Both

and
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
have also been good about responding when we have specific questions or concerns about the dogs. Most recently, the puppy mill rescue has started standing up for herself when her sister mows her down in her excitement when we get home (or come back inside after 30 seconds). I was concerned about whether this was cause for concern, but they reassured me that it was not only normal, but a good sign that she's gaining confidence.

"I was very happy with
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
and his staff. He even said "this is for your puppy not for you" So true. The training was difficult for me as a new puppy owner, but the results that we have with
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
are fantastic. While in the class I even noticed other owners and their pets "habits" changing. The class was 6 short weeks, but the results will last a lifetime. I really appreciate the efforts and the attention we were given by his staff, they were direct and hands on. I plan on enrolling my pup in additional classes after he is fixed. I have already recommended First Friends to MY friends!

Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
is wonderful to work with and very knowledgeable. Watching her interact with the dog and then teach you how to utilize those skills in your own home builds confidence and the ability to train your dog successfully. She is easy to contact via phone or email and offers ongoing training information via email as well which is very helpful if you have questions after your training session. She is honest and forthright with regard to what she sees and utilizes that information in an effort to formulate a training strategy for you and your dog. I happened to have picked the dominate dog from the litter (and am not a dominate personality) so I've struggled a bit with training, but have learned a great deal from her in how to interact with my dog in an effort to maintain dominance/respect.
The fact that I have maintained a working relationship with
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
over several months has helped a great deal as she has been able to watch my dog grow and see his behavior develop from 3 months to 8 months old. We have worked on basic training commands, leash training, grooming habits, socializing, dog park etiquette (she went with us for our first trip to a dog park) as well as working on some specific issues that my dog has had during that time (fear of riding in the car, mouthing/nipping, jumping up). With specific issues she is able to come in and figure out the reasoning behind the issue and then create a training plan for you. It takes time, patience and a lot of work but it is so worth it to see the progress that you and your dog can make over time!
For leash training she brought her dog
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
along for our walks which not only helped "show" my dog how it was done but it also helped with my training as the handler to see how a trained dog walks nicely on a lead and how the handler should be acting/reacting. The visual is so much easier to learn from than an explanation sometimes so that method of training is wonderful! Another thing that I'd like to mention is just the fact that
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
is a truly nice person! She is very good at her job and very knowledgeable, but she is also just a very genuinely nice person and a joy to work with :)
I cannot give
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
and
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
a high enough recommendation. She has been a life saver for me and I will be forever grateful that I found her website when I needed it. If you are looking for dog training services please do call her ... you won't be sorry!

came out a number of times to see how training was going. The Barkbuster method really seems to work. The key is YOU HAVE to do the training. The best part of using Barbusters is that the price is good for life and you can work on all the behavior changes you want. The Barkbusters I used was located in the northwest suburbs. I don't think she was in Bolingbrook. I did meet the woman who owns the. Bolingbrook location. She was very professional. She is the reason I used Barkbusters

"This is our second experience with the company so we know what to expect. They have a central scheduling component which is always reachable even when an individual trainer is out on the job. The cost was know before we began and we received a discount for being repeat customers. Our dog is much improved, knows everything he needs to know after just three visits, and is much happier in our home since most of his confusion about what we expect him to do has been removed. I would recommend the company to anyone who is serious about having a well-trained companion dog.

"We had three in home visits and now we are participating in 6 months of weekly group sessions. It is like we have a different dog - one who behaves (but did not
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
her special character in the process). I could not believe how quickly the dog responded to the training and what an absoluate difference it is making. the collar is helping our dog to make better choices and it is so nice to have the doorbell ring and not have the dog go crazy. we are able to put her in a 'place' and there she stays.
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
worked with us and our dog patiently yet decidedly. He seems to really 'get' dogs. The group classes are also going well and very well attended. It is really impressive to see all of these dogs obeying their masters - no small task.

"The sessions were approximately one hour and took place in both my home and in a local park. There is no set schedule for these sessions, you schedule them with
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
as you go. She would give me one or two tips each session and an assignment to practice with my dog before the next session. She spent 20 minutes each time filling out a form with a list of things we discussed that she would make me sign. After 5 sessions, very little had been accomplished. She never did a practice test with my dog to see what she needed to learn. She never even walked with us to see how my dog handles being on a leash. I was never asked to even demonstrate the assignment from the previous lesson. All she did was give a few tips that I could've gotten from one episode of The Dog Whisperer. The last appointment I scheduled with
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
, we were to meet at a PetSmart. I waited there for her with my dog for a half hour and she never showed up and never called or texted. She said her Google calendar sometimes loses her appointments and did not seem genuinely sorry for blowing me off. When I emailed her that I wanted a partial refund or to work with a different trainer, she left me a rambling voicemail about how she was doing me a favor because she didn't have to take my dog through the Good Canine Test. This woman is terribly unprofessional and condescending. I wish I had taken the Good Canine Citizen class at the Humane Society for a fraction of the cost.

"We had a 7 month old Golden Retriever -- our third Golden, but by far the most rambunctious, hard-headed, 'mind-of-his-own' dog we had ever experienced. Walking him was an exercise in how quickly he could drag us around the neighborhood, and in getting him to settle down inside the house we resorted too often to simply crating him. We knew we'd need some help so, based on
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
's excellent Angie's List reviews, we hired him. From the very first session it was evident that
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
was exactly what we had hoped for. Within that first hour he had our monster not only expertly going through the standard sit, stay, down, etc commands, but he also had him heeling while leading him around without holding the leash! And this was all during the first one-hour period. Subsequent sessions had us fine-tuning everything from how to prevent the dog from mauling someone entering the front door to teaching him to peacefully end a play session to how to prevent him from jumping up on furniture. The sessions covered various scenarios -- walking amidst distractions, on the beach, as well as handling indoor things such as greeting visitors at the front door, and ending unwelcome activity such as barking for food. And the walks have now turned into a highlight of the dog's - and our - day. Throughout our time with
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
he would regularly check in with us, asking how our training was going and often sending us articles he had found to even further our understanding of the training techiques he was using. During all sessions
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
would first show us how to elicit the desired behavior - or discourage unwanted behavior - and then supervise us as we ran through the same exercises. And he made sure to point our a variety of techniques that would lead to the same result. All sessions were conducted in our house or neighborhood - and
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
was extremely accomodating in working with our schedules. Not only is
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
a master trainer, but his style is very loving and caring for your dog.
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
had his last session with our Golden yesterday evening and as he drove away our dog remained staring out the front door whining for the next 1/2 hour. Asking
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
to help us out with training was the best thing we could have done --
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
is truly a find and I would heartily recommend him to anyone.

"What an amazing team the folks at
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
are!! We trust them for every level of training, for kennel and boarding services, and for great TLC for our dog. Costs are priceless! While the whole training cost more than the above amount for the last date of service, the prices are worth every penny and much more. Last year my doctor suggested that I could really benefit from the help of a medical alert and mobility assistance dog. I believed our own dog could do this, so I searched for someone in the triangle area who could help us evaluate and potentially train our own dog. It was and is important to us to have proper training and certification, so we did our research.
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
said they could help and we started with an evaluation. We really needed help with the specific things to teach our dog how to help me. Co-Owner and Head trainer,
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
, cheerfully stepped in and quickly and efficiently taught our dog what to do. Then she taught us what to do to continue his work. Now our dog is an excellent working service dog, properly certified, caring for me 24 hours a day, and loving his work.
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
and her training staff were able to build on the bond I already had with our own dog. Their facility is perfect, their training style and attention to detail is beyond great. Thanks
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
, and staff, for all your hard work to help make my quality of life so much better!!! Our whole family and all our friends are completely impressed at all you accomplished with our dog!

Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
was just fantastic - really passionate about the job, and my
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
loved working with her. Her techniques and commands were effective, all commands were well documented, and she took the time to make sure everything was covered before the last session. Private lessons at home are pricey, so I bought a 10 pack - definitely the way to go, saves a lot and ensures availability. A few of the sessions were dedicated to training me, giving me the commands and practicing to make sure nothing was lost.
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
was never late to a single lesson and was very professional. I would recommend
Warren Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
without hesitation.
