They were so great They showed up when they saud they would. We had a tripple tear off on our roof and they did not even try and change the price. They worked diligently througout the day. I had to make them take a break to eat lunch I have never seen such hard workers They were very professional and cleaned up real good wvery day. They also sided our entire house which wasn't easy due to our roof line butvthey did a great job And after each day i was asked to doba walk through and point out anything i didnt like They fix what ever i wanted and there was never any attitude They truly wanted to make sure i was happy at rhe wnd of each day. I will he hiring them again when i install some windows for them to do the siding again for us. You will not regret hiring them and i know that you also will recommend them This is our fourth house we have had work on and this company has been by far the best.

    Grennan Construction
I hired Grennan Construction to replace the siding on most of the house. I had received bids from several other contractors. Many of them wanted twice as much as Fred. I went with Fred because he had *mostly* good reviews on Angies list and was also rated as an elite preferred installer on the James Hardie website. He also had the lowest bid. He wanted only $12,100 to do most of my house where others contractors wanted $30,000 to do the whole house. The final product was good. It was not excellent. Caulk was missing in spots, and the color of some caulk that was applied at the end that did not match the siding (They sent someone out to fix these items later on). One trim board above my garage door was noticeably wider than another trim board right next to it. There was a lot of brad nails used at the bottom of some siding and on trim boards. I asked that the brad nails be covered with touch up paint but they were not. I do not know why they bottom nailed in places but I dont think Hardie is supposed to be top and bottom nailed. Clean up was so-so. Im still finding cigarette butts, caulk tube tips, and pieces of siding in my lawn. There was also debris on my roof that I had to request they come back and remove. I would give Fred a B if not for the various other customer services issues. The short end of it is that he did not do things that were said verbally or things actually written in the contract. In my opinion, he just didnt pay a lot of attention to our project. The things he said he would do and did not is take pictures of the siding after it came off. When I arrived on the first day of work my siding was already mostly covered in house wrap. The foreman did not take any pictures, and they had put house wrap over sections of rotted sheathing. Adam our project manager arrived shortly thereafter and said the house wrap was temporary in case of rain and was attached with staples. This was just BS. The foreman had already told me before Adam arrived the wrap was meant to be permanent (except the chimney section of the house), and they used nails not staples. I quickly pointed this out and asked that the house wrap to remove so that sheathing could be replaced as was originally discussed with Mike. They ripped the house wrap off the house and then set it aside to reuse it. I asked to have brand new house wrap used and Fred initially charged me for this but later removed the charge when I pointed out the removed house wrap was torn in places and filled with nail holes. Another thing that was said that I find almost impossible to be true is that our project would be sub-contracted to a hardie crew we have been working with for 5 years or more. These were the words of Mike during his initial visit. Two of the crew members were only 21 years old. Adam actually met my foreman for the very first time when he came out to see the house wrap situation. Because of this, I find it very difficult to believe this was one of the crews Mike was referring to. Things that were in the contract but were not done include magnetically sweeping the house at the end of every day and making the house water tight at the end of every day. The magnet sweep was done at the end of the project. Sheathing was left exposed to the rain several nights during the 2 week project. Another thing that was written in the contract was that a Frieze board above my garage would be replaced with rough sawn cedar and painted. Fred replaced it with Hardie Trim boards without discussing it with us first. He did take money off the final invoice for this (after I brought it up to him) but I would have preferred the cedar trim. I want to give an honest and fair review, so I will say that the siding looks good. Furthermore, a handy man I trust that specializes in smaller siding projects stated he thought it looked like a quality job. However, we will not be hiring Fred again. Despite his advertising 100% customer satisificaton he never once asked us if we were happy with the final outcome of our project.

What a bunch of ******!. First a unsolicited salesman walked in and wanted to make an appointment. He was nice enough to make me convinced to make an appointment for a guy to come and give me a quote. Had to leave work early to make it to the appt. time. The 1st thing came out of the guy that he wanted to talk to my wife even to give a quote! What? I said I never even mentioned to the sales person that I have a wife to begin with. I said that is out of the question and he promptly left. I called some lady and complained that she said it is their standard practice, but wanted to make another appt.. So told them never bother call again. Surprise, during the next month, they called me 3 times! Finally I had to let the last caller have it; yelled and cursed at her and seems like they finally got the message. I felt belittled and harassed by these people.

    A-1 Vinyl Siding Co Inc
They should be called A+1 Vinyl Siding Company! Jeff, their salesman, was very professional and thoroughly explained everything we needed to know about vinyl and their company. Paul, the owner, was very easy to communicate with and very accommodating to our schedule. We had Leaguard gutters installed only 2 years ago, so we had to arrange for Leafguard to come out and take the gutters down before our siding job began. Paul juggled his crew's schedule so that they started our job right as the gutters were coming down! The crew was also extremely friendly and hard-working. You could tell they have been doing this for years and paid attention to all the little details. Our house is a Tudor colonial, with brick on the first story and stucco on the second story, so all of the siding work was just on the second story. They had all the proper equipment to get the job done efficiently and cleaned up every evening. The job only took 1 week and they even worked half a day on a Saturday. We would highly recommend them!!

They just finished up with us and we were blown away at their professionalism and hard work. The crew was caring and incredibly clean- the place was left without any trash, etc. They also did things we didn't ask them to, like install a new doorbell and fix our garage door. I would highly recommend them!

    A-1 ROOFING & SIDING
I've had Rick out to my house twice to quote me for siding. I have found him to be very honest and have the most intregrity of the 3-4 for siding contractors that have come out to quote me. The first time he came out he recommended I find a handyman to repair my existing siding. He was of the opinion that we could buy ourselves a few more years with the repair work of a good handyman and then re-side down the road. I planned on taking advice until we found mold and my wife became concerned that there was mold behind out siding. I asked RIcked to come back out and quote me for vinyl siding, gutters, and aluminum trim. He gave me the best quote of any other siding contractor. He also really made me feel like I could trust the work and quality of A-1. We are still undecided if we will reside this year or a few years down the road but when we do we will almost certainly go with A-1 Roofing and Siding

    A-1 Vinyl Siding Co Inc
A big reason I selected A-1 is that Jeff spent time with us to go over in detail what they were going to do. He listened and incorporated by comments/concerns. The crew worked diligently and did a very nice job. They cleaned up the site very well. The crew was friendly and easy to work with. Paul, the owner of the company stopped by and checked on the job periodically. Jeff and Paul followed up after the job was done to make sure we were satisfied.

    A-1 Vinyl Siding Co Inc
I have owned houses for almost fifty years, and I have not had a better experience with a contractor on a major home project than I had with A-1 Vinyl Siding Co. The salesman, Jeff, was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful to us in making choices. There was no pressure to buy immediately, and I had the estimate in hand when he left. The cost was competitive. I was primarily interested in quality materials, excellent workmanship, and a smooth installation. I believe thats exactly what I got. A-1s scheduling worked out so that the job was started quickly. The members of the installation crew were friendly, respectful of our property, accommodating, and seemed very skilled and experienced. They cleaned up each evening before leaving. A-1 left a trailer in our driveway throughout the week of installation and, except for a power connection, they were entirely self-sufficient. I had put off siding replacement because I didnt want to deal again with the hassle I had experienced with others on other home projects. There was none of that with this company. I am very pleased with the entire process and the results are excellent.
