Sewer Cleaning reviews in Troy

  • Mark showed up as scheduled the next day. He and his apprentice out on shoecover to keep our flooring clean. He diagnosed the root cause professionally, took the time to explain and show. He then used snake to clear out the drain pipe in the basement. He worked methodically to keep the surrounding area clean. The pipe was cleaned thoroughly. He also explained to me to use bio-clean enzyme to keep pipe clean from fat / oil in an environmentally friendly way, for ongoing maintenance. I had a garbage disposer, which I thought is broke. I actually bought a new one and asked Mike to replace it. Mike found out the issue and reset it from the bottom of the disposer and saved me the replacement installation cost. Mike is now my favorite plumber. As needs arise, I will use Mike again. They are professional, competent and at right price point.

  • Excellent service. On time and very professional. Ryan made certain the entire line was clear and draining well. I have used Cregger Plumbing for over 20 years and they have always been very reliable.

  • Great! David was on time and very nice. Explained what he was doing and showed me what was going on(even though didnt really have much clue bout whag he was saying lol). He also suggested what he would do if it was his home. Would def. Hire again and will be calling them again.

  • First visit line was snaked and unblocked but was advised by technician (Sean) that hydro flush would be necessary next time. Sure enough blocked again a week later, got hydo flushed. The three very pleasant technicians advised that although the pipe was clear through to the street sewer the camera had shown a snag point in a lead joint under the house. A week later blocked again, Universal sent their sewer expert to inspect, he (Fred) thoroughly inspected the system with a camera and cleared the blockage by flushing. He confirmed the original diagnosis and advised how we can protect against any further blockages. No charge for this visit.

  • Big John's did an excellent job. I had a terrible back up that I could not resolve with just a plunger and I needed a professional, on a holiday weekend too. Big John's was quick to respond and was very careful about not making a mess in the house. Would certainly hire again!

  • Had muck come up from basement drain a few times.
Had them come out before it turned into something worse.
Called yesterday afternoon and they were able to come today between 1-5pm.
Said they would call 20 minutes before they came and they did.
He wore booties in the house and covered equipment that he had to take through house to get to basement.
    Snaked sewer line.
From Description of work: ran sanitary sewer from 4" clean out with 3 1/2" cutter 10 sections, roots first 5 to 6 sections
Was $170 for them to come out which included 80 feet of cable and 1 hour of service.
After 1 hour and 80 feet of cable, it's $1 per additional foot and $24/15 mins.
He was very careful moving snake and cables through house, but there was a little bit of mess and water around the pipe entry area left in the basement and to front door (drops of muddy water) - but we have hard wood and tile floors so not bad for me to clean up after he left.
Only time will tell if it worked!
  • Dave and his crew were great, they relined our 40 year old sewer line. They cleaned the roots mechanically with an auger, washing them down with running water on all the sinks. While they had the hole in the basement to access the line, I asked about roughing for a bathroom before filling in the hole, and they did it at the same time. They ran a camera afterward to show us the new line.

  • we had another company come out and snake the sewer line because of backup issues. Then the sewer backed up again and they came out with a video inspection up to 60ft and said the sewer line needed to be excavated at a cost of $3800. We called DJ Murray for a second opinion. They came out and video inspected the sewer line out to 100ft and said there were some root issues past 60ft but the pipes were still good. They owner came in and hydro jetted the line and suggested to put in rootx once a year. So far everything has been working great. DJ Murray was awesome and they saved me a lot of money by not excavating.

  • I got estimates from 3 top rated plumbing providers and their price was between $1,500 and $2,400 less than the other providers.   They were originally scheduled to do the work on Monday, but rescheduled due to the weather.   Oddly enough they did not reschedule again even though it was a colder day with a wind chill advisory.   They arrived later than they planned on coming, but considering I was told it would be an all day job it did not change anything for me.   They started work at around 11:00 AM and completed at 5:50 PM.   Technically the new sewer line was completed at 2 PM, but they could not fill in yard until the inspector came out at about 4:30 or so.  No surprises that the yard is a bit of a mess and we will have to do some landscaping in the spring, but all and all it went well.

  • There was a blockage in the main sewer drain in our basement and had minor flooding.  Many of the other companies said they would be able to come out next week to take a look at the drain.  Due to the circumstances, we needed service on the drain much sooner than a week.  Cregger was the only company that understood the urgency and able to send someone out that day.
Several hours later, Tim arrived and was able to remove the blockage within 30 minutes.  He was very knowledgeable and explained the issue.  He made a follow-up visit a few days later and brought the camera so we if there would be future problems. He took the time to explain what we were looking at and answer any questions we had.
I highly recommend this company.  They are customer focused and the prices are reasonable.
