    Custom Temperature Control
We bought a "fixer upper" in Troy in the summer of 2018 and the entire HVAC system was 20+ years old. After doing a lot of research I decided I wanted an American Standard Furnace and AC system because consumer reports rated them as the most reliable brand. Tony was one of the few contractors that offered American Standard Products. I took bids from 5 different contractors for the furnace and hot water heater. Tony came out himself to look around and give the initial bid. He was very personable and was happy to answer all my questions. And I will tell you honestly I had a lot of questions. I meticulously researched Furnaces and Hot water heaters before I was ready to drop thousands of dollars. Tony emailed me back and forth 3 or 4 times answering questions before I finally awarded Custom Temperature Control the contract. Installation of the furnace and hot water heater was mostly problem free. I do give honest reviews so I will say there was one issue. When I brought this up to Tony, he came out himself the next morning to rectify it. 6 months later summer was approaching and it was time for a new AC system. Once again I did a lot research and took bids for several contractors. Once again Tony came out for more than an hour and went over my questions with me. Once gain he followed that with about 3 or 4 email exchanges providing answers to my detailed questions. And once again he was the lowest bid by far. For an identical set of AC coils and compressor his bid was between $400 and $1,000 less than the other contractors. The other contractors had quality reviews on Angies list as well, but not as many total reviews as Tony. He also included a new a line, something the other contractors wanted to charge me additional money for (or use the old line which I read was not a safe bet). Installation of the AC system went smoothly. Its clear to me Tony beats out his competitors on price, customer service, and customer satisfaction. One other thing that I like about Tony is that he offers multiple HVAC brands. Most places only offer 1 brand. Tony offers as many as 5 if I recall correctly. To me this says he puts the customer first because he is willing to offer a variety of choices instead of pushing one brand. I would recommend Custom Temperature Control to all my friends and family.

    Universal Plumbing & Sewer Inc
I had all of my 60 year old corroded galvanized pipe replaced with pex .The guys were very professional and did a great job: They worked a very long day so that I would not have my water turned off for another day. I have great water pressure now and couldn't be happier with the service I received! I wish I had done it a long time ago. I also had a broken toilet replaced in the basement, I was a bit concerned that it wasn't flushing with the force that I was expecting (the old one had required multiple flushes) but it has worked perfectly for over a month now.

    WaterWork Plumbing
Everything is good, except the price. The guy came and checked the leaking faucet. Told me the weather is too cold to fix the faucet outside. Suggest to install a new inside valve to stop the leak and pay 2nd trip to fix the leak when it is warmer. I agreed and he installed a new inside shut off valve. With a coupon, he charged me $202 as a final price.

    Discount Home Services
Our master bath remodel with discount home services exceeded our expectations. The project went smoothly, the time and cost estimate were right on target. The guys were consistently punctual and worked hard every day. They are considerate, dependable and honest. We added in a few extra requests along the way which they accommodated. We are extremely happy with our final results. We highly recommend them!

    Capital Plumbing
I had a water heart failure that led to a huge amount of water all over my basement. I removed all the affected carpeting and started to call different plumbing companies in the area to see about getting a new water heater for replacement. Every company I contacted couldn't get to me for at least up to a few days if not the following week. Capital Plumbing called me after I posted my information and that I was looking for an emergency replacement due to the water heater failure. I was blown away by their responsiveness and rapid response to my situation. They crew was very professional and did a fantastic job. I would hire them again for any plumbing need I have. They also took a look at somethings and made recommendations without any pressure or coercion to do it. It was a great experience to work with them.

    SPECIALTY KITCHEN AND BATH REMODELING
My wife and I have to echo and earlier July 2018 review. Our kitchen and three bathrooms were outdated and decrepit. We met with a few contractors and walked away feeling they were not enthused and, "going through the motions" regarding the project. After our initial meeting with Howard, we knew we found the right person/company for the job. What impressed us from the start was he his interest in helping us realize our vision for the remodel. Throughout the entire process, he came by most days to inspect the work performed. Issues invariably came up or were uncovered and Howard addressed them immediately. We asked him to redo our staircase and couldn't be happier with the end result. Another thing that impressed me was that the crews he employs have been with him for several years if not decades. The kitchen and bathrooms are amazing and we love the look of our home. We plan on hiring again for another project in the near future. Highly recommend.

Michigan Plumbing and Mechanical Services LLC
I contacted Michigan Plumbing and Mechanical to have my flange replaced on my toilet. I looked into doing the repair myself but after watching several youtube videos I decided it was a job best left to a professional. Contrary to what the owner would later claim, I was quoted $150 to have the flanged completely replaced and told it was a flat fee. The plumber that came to do the repair did not wear a uniform of any kind and arrived in a car that did not carry any company logo or advertising. He quickly removed the top of the flange and then began chiseling away at the sides of the pipe to remove the flange fragments. He used a hammer and chisel. During this process he chipped the flange in two different spots. At first he said nothing about this and kept working as if nothing happened. As soon as I pointed out the flange was chipped in two spots the plumber began to blame the thickness of my pipes. He said that because of the chips they would have to cut out the ceiling below the toilet and he would come back tomorrow to do so. That night I emailed the company and stated my expectations that they would pay for the drywall repairs and the cost to repaint the ceiling. I was stunned at the companys response. They stated they would not pay for the ceiling repairs or paint. They also stated I would be charged more than the initial $150 dollars because of the additional work. They again blamed the pipes. After several follow up emails went unanswered, I called the company directly and asked for the plumbers license number. Several minutes later I was on the phone with the company owner. The company owner was aggressive, hostile, rude, and unprofessional. He again put the blame on the pipe and said that chips happen all the time when trying to do a flange replacement. He demanded to know why I wanted his plumbers license number. He ranted that people like me were the problem with America. I pointed out that if there were inherent risks to this type of repair, and that those risks could result in a substantial cost increase, than these risks should have been made known to me before work started. This was especially true since according to him chips like this are common. He admitted something should have been said to me before hand. Despite snide and sarcastic comments about doing work for free, the owner ultimately agreed to sending the same plumber back out to do the repair free of charge if I would accept the cost of fixing the drywall and paint. However, I felt so uncomfortable after our phone call I decided I did not want anyone from the company back in my home. Instead I paid a master plumber to come back out and do the repair. The new plumber agreed that my pipe was thinner than normal. However, he was of the opinion that a skilled plumber with the proper tools and patience could have done the flange repair without chipping the pipe. He also said that the plumber from Michigan Plumbing and Mechanical could clearly see how thin the pipe was once the top of the flange was off and should have acted accordingly. He said he should have never started hacking away at it with a hammer and chisel like he did. Needless to say, I would not recommend this company.

    Cregger Plumbing, Heating & Cooling
Bob was on time, very knowledgeable and honest . I had a small amount f water in my basement and thought it was from my sump pump. However, Bob said my sump pump was fine but the water was coming from the floor. He recommended a foundation specialist. Also, he connected the water line for my refrigerator ice maker.

    Universal Plumbing & Sewer Inc
Appointment was confirmed by both phone and email. Email profile of Mark was sent in advance so I knew who to expect. Mark explained every step of the drainline camera inspection and line cleaning. Spent additional time when issues were encountered. Suggested additional steps I could take instead of jumping right to the $1000 hydro jetting option. Clean up of the job site was great. Would use again

Big John was honest and completed the work we needed extremely fast. He had a crew that showed up and completed the work well beyond my expectations. I would definitely use him again. The only plumber I'll call.
