    J & E Installation
Ed was great. he came out to talk about the project and made recommendations based on what we were looking for. I had received other quotes and he was very competitive and really liked the dialogue, knowledge and experience they had. Installation date was set and they spent 3 days as promised installing all of the doors. Everything went to our satisfaction. They left the house clean after their days work. Pete was especially great. He is a true craftsman of his trade and took the time to make sure every detail was done correctly. We love our new doors and they look great and function perfectly. I would definitely hire them again for future projects.

    Michigan Building & Design
This was a pretty major project because we moved walls and changed the layout of two floors of our house. We made a mudroom and Laundry room combo out of a hallway and laundry room. We also enlarged a lavatory and changed the entry point. Then we gutted and enlarged a second-floor bathroom. Jason and his team did an amazing job with such a large project that involved touching all the major systems in the house. We also had them replace all the 50-year-old copper pipe with PEX and a manifold system on half the house. Jason and his team did an awesome Job keeping the dust as minimal as possible considering how much of the house was worked on and our open floor plan. He also had good ideas and allowed changes along the way without having to go through a formal change order process. He gave a clear dollar amounts for the changes requested and also came up with good solutions to solve our problems that were less costly. He handled ordering our bathroom cabinets and the granite counter tops, we just needed to go to the show rooms and make style selections. We can't wait for Jason and his team to do the next phase of remodeling where we will be reconfiguring our master suite and creating an amazing master bathroom.

By far the most professional, friendly company I quoted with in Metro Detroit. Jeff found me the perfect front door where other companies couldnt. He was responsive, detail oriented and install went so smoothly. I will definitely get my replacement windows from Clarkston Window and Door next year!!

    Superior Woodworking & General Contracting
Superior Woodworking and General Contracting did an excellent job on our remodel. Scott was great to work with. The job cost what was quoted, the work looks terrific and it was done quickly. They stayed on top of all the details of the project, stayed organized and were very responsive to texts, emails and phone calls. Scott was very knowledgable and hands-on with the work throughout the project and brought in great subcontractors to complete the work. They even worked around my kids and a birthday party we hosted during the project.

They did an excellent job and we are very pleased with the job that was done. Very courteous and they were very personable. Only 1 guy (plus the owner) to do a lot of the work, but he did a great job and they are driven to doing a quality job. The price was far better than I expected and the owner was honest with us about our choices. There was no hard sale job for the more expensive windows. We felt that we could trust him.

    STORM SEAL
Though their price was slightly hire, their lead-time was good. The work was done professionally and timely. A unknown complication was discovered during installation of one of the glass pains and the installer fixed it on the spot. I thought this was going beyond what was required and it was appreciated.

    STORM SEAL
We immediately had issues with the handle of the door not properly releasing, to open from outside. Then I noticed light coming in from the side of the frame, shortly after. In April, we switched the glass with the screen. The screen seemed loose, and would not pull tight no matter how much we adjusted the brackets. It seemed as if the glass had been helping to support the frame, which seemed to have been poorly installed, or defective. Shortly after the screen was put in, I went out to get the mail. As I walked outside, I heard a "POP" noise, and a black piece of plastic fell from the top of the frame. I noticed the pin was wedged sideways in the valve at the bottom of the door, and the door would not close. It stayed ajar about 1 foot from the frame. The following day I called to set up an appointment for repair, as it was only 3.5 months old. The receptionist (Debbie) told me someone would be out right away. No one came all day. I called again and spoke to Mark. Two days later, he came out- 5/18/17. I had my mother there to allow him to open the front door, and make the necessary adjustments. Supposedly he fixed the door "to the best of his ability" and then they proceeded to quote me for a new hinge and new frame, asking that I pay about the same as I did for the original door. He called it "wind damage", even though the door was always locked when not being used, and the screen allowed for proper air flow. I know for a fact the door was not damaged by the wind. I called again, but he still refused to accept responsibility for the poor quality of installation and the defective product. I had another company come out for a second opinion. They did not believe that the door needed any new parts, and only needed adjustments to work properly. I believe they were trying to avoid having to cover their poor quality work/product under the warranty policy, and ultimately just wanted me to give them more money to correct their mistake.

    Remodeling Specialties/Fred Sons
Fred and his team did a great Job all through the project. Since we chose to use our own electrician he did a great job communicating with us on when we would need to bring in the electrician to do the work. He pulled permits and walked us through the process of dealing with the city. He also did a great job helping to research materials and discussed options based on past projects. Fred Framed in all the walls using steal studs, installed a custom drop ceiling around some very complicated duct work. He then insulated the walls with sound proof batt. All the electrical boxes were wrapped in a sound proof clay that prevents sound from traveling through them. He then installed QuietRock ES, which is a specialized type of drywall that helps sound from traveling through. All the joints were sealed with acoustical sealant. Two exterior grade doors were installed in the room to provide a good weather stripped seal and to provide sound proofing qualities better than even solid core interior doors. He also created a custom access panel for getting to a storage space under the stairs. Finally he installed trim and painted everything per our specifications. An excellent experience start to finish. The price for such a small space may on the surface seem high, but Fred was half the price of one company that came out and also the material and labor cost associated with making a space sound proof almost doubled the cost.

Fine. I brought the sash in, the measured it and order it., as it had to be sent out. I returned with the sash, when the glass was ready. They installed the new double pained wind and I went home and installed the sash.

    Thomas Robert Construction LLC
Tom and his crew were very polite and professional. They worked constantly from the time they arrived until they left at the end of the day. They always cleaned up any mess they made at the end of the day and left the area neat. Chris, worked on the crown mouldings and baseboards and did an excellent job. The crown and the baseboards are beautiful and make the house look so polished. I absolutely love the mouldings and baseboards. The painting was done very well and I am very pleased with every room that was painted. My basement looks fantastic! The flooring and baseboards look spectacular! Tom goes out of his way to insure everything the customer wants is done. He even went with me to Home Depot to pick out the doors and locks. He also did extra tasks that weren't in the contract, such as putting vents in my furnace room because they should be there for safety reasons. I truly appreciated Tom's thoughtfulness in completing jobs in my house because they were needed or would make my home look better. I was very fortunate to find Tom and his crew, because not only were they professional and personable, but they completed all of the work I contracted for and did even more that I didn't ask for. Tom really did treat my home as if it was his and provided high quality work and a great smile too. I highly recommend Tom and his construction company to anyone looking for an honest and fair contractor, who takes pride in the quality of work performed. I only have one project left to do, but I certainly will contact Tom to do that job when I'm ready.
