    Personal Touch Moving
These guys we great! Honest, efficient, fun & friendly. This was a long distance, in state move. Waterford to Traverse City. They showed up on time, they were careful with my belongings, polite and respectful. Being a single female with little experience hiring a moving company I was very cautious. I got a couple of quotes, but when I met John for him to quote the job I was put at ease. He just seemed like a good guy, and thats just what he and his crew turned out to be. If I ever need to hire a moving company again, Personal Touch will be the only call I make. The price was right & the job was done well. Highly recommend!

    Master Movers Inc
I quickly wanted to write a review about Master Movers for their amazing job that they did with my move. The sales rep was amazing; he explained everything to me upfront, gave me a great price on the move and set up my pickup date. The drivers arrived on time for the pickup and for the delivery. There were no hidden fees, no damages done to my belongings. I could not have asked for it to go any better. Superb Job!

    All Star Moving
The guys were great! The job was barely ready and they came in and helped to make the move go smoothly. The team was willing to do crazy things to make the move happen. I couldn't have done it without them. Two HUGE 26' trucks later and we were done. The owner even helped to line up the moving truck!

Morse Moving And Storage- Allied Van Lines
The crew sent was typical of all contacts we've had with employees from Morse Moving. They are on time, clean, respectful to the customer, and above all, they move whatever they are asked to move, with extreme care to both the object and the placement - be it temporary or permanent.

Sherman Moving & Storage Company Inc
They were super - if you could give them 10 stars I would. I had a 3 story townhouse on a hill, and the truck couldn't make it up the hill so they had to carry the stuff a lot further. They were fantastic - not cheap, but for what they had to do it was a fair price

    All Star Moving
The owner/contact was somewhat difficult to communicate with. He did not return calls when he said he would, and it left me unsure of whether I would have the moving service or not. On the other hand, when I would call him, he promised that everything was all set...and in fact, it was. The actual movers did an excellent job, and were polite, helpful and professional.

They were amazing! They were patient and kind to my father, very careful with his precious antiques. They moved the furniture around several times and even took a couple of extra trips back to the family home when we discovered his couch wouldn't fit. They took the couch back and picked up a smaller love seat, which turned out to be perfect. Even with all the careful handling and running back and forth, they came in under the estimate, so my dad saved a couple hundred dollars. Wonderful company!

Did not provide 3 men for the entire time as promised. There was a 4 hour period when there was only 2. This prolonged the move. One of the workers broke a custom made glass top for an octagon coffee table. He buried it in the snow and did not tell me that it was broken. Bill Shoemaker, owner of the company, replaced the top with a less expensive glass. The scratches and damage to the furniture was not repaired by a expert as was promised with the move agreement. Several months after my move, I discovered a decorative rail to a antique china cabinet in the garage that had broken off and the movers just put it in the garage cabinet. They did not acknowledge that it broke. I over paid Bill Shoemaker and it took 3 months, multiple phone calls, and empty promises before he returned the over payment. I could NEVER recommend this moving company, given These poor practices.

The first move I hired them for was a 3 bedroom home to a 1 bedroom apt. For the most part, they did an ok job. It was a difficult move for me emotionally and physically. We contracted them for packing and moving. I did have some glass items broken, which they had packed. It was a four man crew as I recall;, two to pack and two to load and unload. Two of them were experienced and the other two were not, which made for sloppy and slower work.
The second move was from a two bedroom apt. to a one bedroom. When I contracted with Two Men and A Truck via phone, it was understood that I had a set amount of money to make the move, so time and organization were factors. The person I spoke with on the phone felt the move could be done in the allotted time and that two experienced movers would be dispatched for the job.
    1. The movers showed up late.
    2. One of the movers was experienced and the other was needing constant direction from the other one.
    3. I reiterated my conversation that I had with the office, noting the need for a timely move. I even told them which two pieces of furniture that needed extra care, as they are antiques and fragile.
When the job was complete, I was handed a bill for more than was quoted and agreed upon, because it took them longer? Because it was Sat., I wasn't able to contact the office. I was forced to write a check for the amount they said, knowing that I did not have the total amt. in my account. I called the office on Monday morning and expressed my dissatisfaction, but they were unwilling to accept the agreed upon amount. I ended up have to pay for the move in installments.
To make matters worse, one of the two items that I asked be treated gently was damaged, but of course, i did not notice it until I had time to unpack and inspect the items.
I had given Two Men and a Truck, the benefit of the doubt after the first move, accepting that it was not an organized move, and hired them again, only to be more dissatisfied than the first time.
The concept of Two Men and a Truck is wonderful, but unless they have a better training program, paying particular attention to how people's belongings are handled, they are destined to fail. Granted, this was four years ago, but it soured me from using them in my most recent move.

From start to finish, they were very professional and did a great job! We had a storage bin completely full of heavy furniture and odds and ends. They moved everything into their truck and transported to another location up a full flight of stairs. They were careful with our items and nothing was damaged or broken. Very personable to work with and they were able to come on a short notice! Definitely will use them again.
