  • First Call is very professional and responsive. They are able to facilitate general maintenance (HVAC repairs, plumbing, etc) and have been helpful in procuring vendors and quotes for tenant improvements.

  • Tom Young and his crew at First Call do a fantastic job of maintaining a building, repairing its mechanicals, all for a reasonable price. Plus, they are very fast to act, and forward thinking when it comes to replacing items that show wear and tear.

  • We were very impressed, to say the least, with this company! First, the crew is very trustworthy - we left our house open at times for them to use the bathroom while roof work was being done, and also during the work they performed in our kitchen, with no incidents! Second, they were punctual and completed our projects in a very timely manner! Third, we are extremely happy with the quality of work the company performed and the owner was very caring and helpful with the decision-making. Last, it was very refreshing to have hired a construction company that was this respectful and handled themselves in a very professional-like manner, who also cleaned up and left our home in the same condition as before they began the projects! We are, nonetheless, greatly pleased with the work that was done and will definitely hire Mission Peninsula Construction in the future for any remodeling/repair needs and will also refer them to our neighbors, family and friends! Thank you very much!

  • After experiencing several other unprofessional contractors, we were very pleased with Mike's professionalism, cleanliness, quality of work, and commitment to the job.  He responded to our questions, did what he said he was going to do, cleaned up after himself, finished the project on the timeline promised, worked well with other contractors, and was very fair in his pricing.  He is not cheap but not too expensive either.  In our opinion, his rates are very reasonable given how good his work is.  We've recommended him to others and all have been happy with his service.  Definitely a guy that we will be using again.

  • Demolition of floors was extremely messy.  The family room was extremely dirty left mortar on almost brand new carpet for five days even after asking Scott to have his employees to clean it up. We had to clean it up ourselves and they  showed us very little respect. I did demand that his employees clean better after this which they did. The time it took to do the work was extremely slow and there were many days that no one showed up.  There were weeks that Scott never showed up at all until we called him to come and fix things that were not done correctly.  The tile jobs not professionally done. My husband and I thought that Scott was going to do the tile work after showing us pictures of his work.  He had other people do the tile and it was not done professionally.  The only tile work that was done well was the tile work that Scott did on the kitchen backsplash. The painting was not done as well as it should have been.  We had to go behind his employees and make lists to get many things fixed or completed correctly.  They cut as many corners as possible. They did fix things if we insisted but we felt like babysitters going behind them and checking every little thing they did. We felt that should be Scotts job he was the contractor. We paid in advance and that was all he seemed to care about was getting his money. The last day he was here he couldn't wait to get paid and leave.

  • We had an awful experience with this man.  Little did we know when we hired him that he already had a full-time job, so we were always an afterthought.  What he said would be a two week job, turned into 11 weeks.  Our entire house was torn apart for the entire summer.  Every time he said he would be there, he wasn't.  At one point we asked him if he would refund our money, prorated to what he had already completed, and he promised to get the job done.  He didn't.  We were too nice to this man and learned a lot from the experience. We were accommodating to a fault and he took advantage of it.

  • Jamie did a beautiful job.  We were able to get her from a local contractor recommendation, and SO happy we did.  She painted everything, walls and trim.  She also offered to come back and touch up anything we were not happy with, including the spot I did when I put a mark in the wall, totally my fault!  But other than my spot (which I would not ask her to touch up!), there was absolutley nothing for her to come back and fix.  She left all the paint for touch up.  Excellent job.
We are having her do our decks this year!

  • Dan gave us a thorough estimate.  Months later when the weather permitted his crew arrived and completed the job.  We are happy with the quality of work and the time frame in which the jobs were completed.

  • Bert returned my phone call within 1/2 hour of calling him for a bid.  Scheduled an appointment to give me a bid and showed up when he said he would.  Was very impressed with the price.  Let me purchase my own paint so I knew I was getting a fair price.  Got me on his schedule within 2 weeks.  Showed up exactly when he said.  Was only supposed to paint the walls but the trim bothered him because it had yellowed and some nails had popped.  He offered to bring some paint he had and do the trim also.  Not only did he paint the trim but also caulked where there were nail holes or gaps between wall and trim.  Saved me a great amount of time since I had planned on painting the trim myself.  Charged me no extra for this service.   Very friendly, trust-worthy and timely.  Got the job done in less than two days and I have no complaints.  Would highly recommend him!!

  • Excellent work. Excellent worker!
Bert was on time (often a little bit early, which was fine!). He (and his help, when needed) were clean, courteous, and listened to any concerns I had. Bert would be more then willing to offer advice, and if I had any questions, he answered them if he knew the answers. Any garbage they created they took care of, and extra paint was left for me in case I needed it. All in all, Bert was a very nice person to work with, easy to talk to. All in all, the job took about 3 and 1/2 days, which was what the estimate was.
I hope to have him back in the future for some more projects (he does more then painting!).
    - Mark C.
