    Atlantic Coast Waterproofing Inc
Atlantic Coast may not be the cheapest company but their work is outstanding. They were friendly, communicated what would be happening in my basement, and even took me downstairs to show me the work that they had done. I would definitely hire them again.

    I.L. Construction LLC
I GOT A RECOMMEND FROM BUILDING SUPPLY CO IN FLINT TOWNSHIP IAN THE OWNER CAME OUT TO REVIEW AND WAS EASY TO TALK TO UNLIKE SOME SALES PEOPLE FROM THE BIG BOYS. SENT ESTIMATE ON EMAIL 2 DAYS LATER. I SAID I WOULD LIKE TO AND HE AGREED FOR ME TO PAY THE MATERIAL SET UP AT SUPPLY CO. WHEN TIME CAME FOR INSTALL THEY DELIVERED AND WHEN DONE I PAID BALANCE TO HIM. JOB WAS ON 2000SQ FOOT HOUSE AND DONE IN 2 DAYS. IAN DID A WALK AROUND WITH ME AND DID ANY MINOR THINGS FOR CLEANUP. VERY FAIR PRICE ON JOB, GREAT COMMUNICATION, DID WHEN PROMISED .THEY EVEN CLEANED GUTTERS INSTALLED LEAF GUARDS I HAD BOUGHT AND EVEN DID A SMALL SUN ROOM ROOF NOT IN ESTIMATE. MY DAUGHTER AND HUSBAND HAD 6 ESTIMATES FOR THEIR ROOF AND OTHER ITEMS AND SOME OVERZEALOUS SALESPEOPLE HELD THEM HOSTAGE AT KITCHEN TABLE TRYING TO PRESSURE THEM BEFORE THEM GETTING WITH IL CONSTRUCTION AND GOING WITH IAN. THEY JUST FINISHED THEIR WORK TODAY AND THEY ARE VERY HAPPY WITH COST AND WORK. PLEASURE TO DO BUSINESS WITH.

The initial accessment of my needs and design was done by Sharon. I am very pleased with every aspect of what she suggest while staying within budget. Greg Hoch was the installer. Vinyl Sash

    • The owner came back out and told me he would put a rubber roof on for about $2000.  I told him I couldn't justify spending more money on the room. We just can't use the room when it rains.  He told me I'm the ONLY one that ever had a problem with the noise.  Needless to say I just got more dissatisfied.

    Stepping Stone Cement Work
He told me prior to the job that if the cement trucks started to sink on my lawn that he would have them pull off the lawn and start carting or wheel barrowing the cement. he did not do this, after the first truck did damage I told Greg directly do not have the other trucks on my lawn, he did it anyways.  there is extensive damage to my lawn in 3 different locations. He said that he would fix the damage, he came out one day and spread some dirt in the ruts. This came no where near fixing my lawn, we have since received a quote from a Landscaping company to repair, Greg hasn't responded with his insurance info, just need to get my yard fixed. Cement job was completed over 3 weeks ago. Starting to really question whether or not he has insurance as he states in his ad.

    DONALDSON & SONS

This project was delayed, at Donaldson & Sons  insistence from the fall of 2014 due to early freezing weather. I was concerned  myself of the oncoming cold weather, and was glad to postpone the project. As soon as the road frost restrictions were removed in April, I called and was told they would be there the following Monday at 8:30 am. They were on time for the next 3 days and stayed at it till finished. I wasn't aware there would be that much construction damage to the lawn. When I told them, I wasn't able to do the repairs myself, they finished the job leveling, seeding and mulching grass for a little extra in material and labor. The workmen were meticulous in their work and took extra steps to correct some drainage issues. I haven't experienced this level of professionalism and workmanship in years.

    Chippewa Asphalt Paving Co

In the Spring of 2012, my wife and I began speaking with asphalt companies in the Genesee County area in a effort to receive estimates for asphalting our existing gravel driveway.  Our drive way is 18 foot wide by 177 foot long, so we knew it was going to be expensive, especially with the additional parking area we wanted to add.  After speaking with 6 different companies and receiving bids from each, some in excess of $12,000, we went with a locally owned and family operated company named Chippewa Asphalt.  The work was supposed to happen in the spring of 2012, but due to local road constructions projects that no one at either the Genesee County Road Commision or Mundy Township could give us a definitive time schedule for, we had to push the project back until October.  After the Road Commision finally finished paving the road we live on, Chippewa was able to do their thing.  In a matter of 2 days we had a new driveway and couldn't be happier with the appearance, quality workmanship, and attention to detail that Josh and his crew gave us.  Their wonderful customer service, willingness to do the job I wanted done, and flexibility in working with us given the road construction situation are just some of the many reasons I would advise you to call Chippewa Asphalt for any asphalting job you may have.

This is an Update to the original post:  My driveway is now 18 months old, and already it is breaking apart.  Last summer July of 2013, when this driveway had only been down for 8-9 months, I started noticing cracks forming along the tamped edges all the way around the perimeter.  I called Chippewa and explained the problem and they put me on the schedule to have the guys come out and heat up the edges and tamp them again.  I also asked to have the driveway sealed while they were here, two birds with one stone, right?  Well, the driveway got sealed and approx. 20 linear feet of driveway edge appeared to have been heated up and tamped.  I called the next day and spoke the office staff regarding two things.  One, the guys left without finishing the job and didn't say a word to me or my wife. Two: I needed to pay for the seal coating (almost $400).  I was told by the lady(owners wife) in the office that she wanted Josh (owners son) to come out and look at the driveway.  Until she was able to get him out there, she was going to hold off billing me for the seal coat.  Over the next several weeks, I touched base with the office several times and was given the same stock answer of "Josh is really busy working on a big job down in the Detroit area", "I keep trying to get him out there to look at it", "I'll leave him another message".  I'll admit, I wasn't as persistent as I should have been in having this taken care of before the snow flew.  Well, now that winter is over I am trying to get this taken care of and yet again it seems that I am getting caught up in a game of phone tag and so far, one unreturned email.  I was able to speak with Josh on 4/10/2014 and was told "I'll try and get out there later this afternoon or tomorrow to look at it".  "I'll knock, if no one is home, I'll give you a call".  It's now Monday 4/14/2014 at 3:45pm and I still haven't heard a word.  Needless to say I am getting frustrated with being pushed to the back burner.  Perhaps they will see this update, and realize that they are need of performing some "service recovery" (I believe that is the buzz-phrase being used right now) in hopes of keeping a once happy customer, happy!

    JJ Concrete LLC
My experience with JJ Concrete was professional from the quote to the finished job. Joel kept me informed of his schedule commitments and once we established a date for my job, he stayed on track. This was very important to me because I had been left without further communication after making initial contact with other contractors on this project.
The work itself was first rate and he even had an added complication of working around the tubing that I laid down for in floor heating. I would highly recommend JJ Concrete.

    J & J CONCRETE WORK
The owner actually does the work instead of just contracting the work. I was very pleased and he was timely. He did an excellent job and I will highly recommend them.
