    Every once in awhile you encounter a service business that combines the qualities of professionalism, honesty, punctuality, knowledge, and outstanding customer service--and Dave Smith Appliance is one of those businesses. We have had a few problems with our new Whirlpool refrigerator, and Dave Smith's company has addressed each of these issues with: a) quick response to email inquiries--often answered by the owner himself; b) service appointments scheduled promptly; c) skilled, well trained technicians who properly diagnoses and resolve problems. Example 1: One technician determined from his research that even though my refrigerator had been recently built, the company had already updated its control box; thus he ordered one under warranty for installation. Example 2: I emailed Dave (owner) to ask whether the cold spot in the top center of my refrigerator (which was freezing vinegar and water bottles) was expectable since the air control valve was there. Most repair shops would have said "yes" to avoid a warranty service call. However, Dave was most concerned with making sure that everything was just right, and said that he would be glad to send a technician out. In sum, I highly recommend Dave Smith Appliance Services.

    Good evening Scott, Words can not express my appreciation for the very professional response I was given today when I had my "annual inspection". He demonstrated why EVERYONE should be using Gauthier Heating and Cooling. When I mentioned a concern over air coming out in an odd place, he could have easily dismissed it, but no, he provided a level of service that is at the top. He went into the crawl space to see if he could identify the source of the air flow, and much to my surprise, he discovered a very dangerous situation as you are aware. There was a gas line that had rusted through and would or could have broken very soon. Although it may not have been today, or tomorrow, having seen the pipes, it was a bad event waiting to happen. I am most appreciative of your high standards, and the high standards you have taught your employees. Thanks is such an understatement - when sharing with my two daughters, they expressed their appreciation toward someone who cared about their Mom. It may have been "routine", but it is not routine when it is your house, possibly your life and the life of my puppy dog. (actually my 8 year old bull mastiff) Again, Thanks, and God bless

    BAD EXPERIENCE! When I read Huron Pointe Excavating’s reviews, prior to hiring them, I felt good about choosing Aaron Hustek and his company. Was I ever wrong and would soon find out. The minute the contracts were signed and deposits were paid everything began to go South with the deal that we had agreed to with Aaron and his company HPE. By the time Aaron abandoned the job and left us to scramble for ourselves to finish the project we ended up paying approximately $10k over what was expected and originally agreed upon. In the end we had to litigate in court to recover deposits for work unfinished. That slow train in Small Claims Court, by HPE, was a whole other story and nightmare. Two big thumbs down on Huron Pointe Excavating!

    Run - don’t just walk away! Aaron was among the most unprofessional of folks I’ve met in 25 years of excavating construction work. He doesn’t appear to plan out his moves, bashes trees, digs up LOCATED AT&T cable, caused a water line rupture by knocking over a pile of steel, left trash piled up around the jobsite, and generally does poor workmanship that can’t be trusted (had to re-weld several structural joints in the steel wall that cracked in less than 3 months). He even buried his crushed tail gate from his truck in our neighbor’s beach – real stuff. His equipment is badly torn up and poorly maintained – so much so that he left the job site for 30 days in the middle of a contract to have his excavator repaired. Or did he? The same excavator rents for $165/day here… His stories didn’t line up at all. He needed 4 months to half assemble a wall job which he refused to finish. He took deposit money for additional work (after he raised the prices) which he abandoned later and wouldn’t give back. Come to find out HE HAS BEEN ARRESTED FOR NOT RETURNING DEPOSIT MONEY BEFORE (Shelby Township, MI). Avoid this fraudster and if you do have to deal with him like we did, call the police and skip small claims court. Taking money for work not completed is a crime.

    The only difficulty is their business establishment was a little hard to find. It doesn't have a large sign and is behind a strip mall. They primarily make house calls to repair appliances so their facility is not set-up to accommodate walk-in traffic. But since I had a small fridge I decided it wasn't a problem for me to drop it off. The were very fair and honest. I feel I received very good service for a reasonable charge. I would definitely use them again.

    Very knowledgeable, helpful, prompt, and professional. Tech was willing to show us how to reignite the pilot light and do other typical things. Company charged a reasonable price, obtained a replacement part quickly, and wrote us a letter for potential buyers of the home concerning the condition and efficiency of the furnace. I highly recommend this company for your heating needs.
