Tree Service reviews in Spring Lake

    RV Trees LLC
RV Trees did an outstanding job for our tree removal. We needed 7 trees removed from our property in Spring Lake, MI for a pool installation. 5 Trees were massive massive oak trees. Shawn come out almost immediately to give us a price quote after one phone call. We retained his services for our tree removal due his knowledge of what we needed done, along with RV Trees pricing was right on the mark. Shawn and his team were very professional and took good care in removing these trees without any damage to our yard or house. They had the best equipment (crane, bucket truck, chipper, front end loader etc.) to get the job done safely, along with the right equipment to remove these large trees. Once the trees were removed they grinded all the stumps down and cleaned up all the debris and wood as we agreed upon. Shawns word was as good as in writing. Shawn and his team did what he said they would do during our tree removal project! I would recommend RV Trees to anyone in the area looking to have any type of tree work done, large or small. Outstanding work. Professional, punctual and very service oriented. We are a waterfront condo complex in Spring Lake so the condition of our property is very important to us. We have hired Shawn on two separate occasions and will continue to use his services. His work is competitively priced and very well done.

Jeremy showed us the new plan in Feb. First week of April, the back yard was cleaned up & new bark put down. Trees removed mid April but stump removal guy was behind - lots of rain. First of May, front yard completed.

    ANDY'S TREE SERVICE
Andy (?) was performing a tree service in a neighbor's yard. I approached him to see if he could give me an estimate that day, which he did. He allowed me time to think about it explaining that he was in a very busy period of the year and scheduling would be a few weeks out. I called and made a request for a visit. Even though he was unable to be exact about the day and gave me a range of days to be available (the nature of winter weather and safe working conditions) the company was very gracious about the entire process. When they showed up, they went right to work and had an efficient way about them. Andy supervised the entire job or personally performed the dangerous portions. Once complete, they recommended I not cut some other trees down that I was concerned about, stating they would not be endangering my home. This saved me hundreds, which they could easily could have taken as I was ready to spend it if needed. Very happy with the service. Will call again if needed. And the estimate never grew in size as the job progressed, despite them having to cut some extra trees down during the process.

The correct trees were taken down, with minimal damage to surrounding trees and shrubs in that part of the process.  Unfortunately, the logs and branches were not put on the designated brush pile, but were instead put on another brush pile that I was in the process of moving.  Also, in taking the logs/branches to the wrong place, 3 or 4 rose bushes I had just planted were stepped on; although they were still tagged, the crew apparently didn't look at the ground.  Sean offered to have the crew come back to move the brush to the right place, but since I didn't know when that would be I didn't wait but moved it myself.  At least the roses and ferns and other plants were safe that way.
Sean was very pleasant, but unfortunately I wasn't home when his crew came by to stop them from putting the brush in the wrong place, or to point out where the roses were.  Fortunately, the roses recovered.
The price was very reasonable, and it's great to have the trees down (before they could come down on their own in a REALLY bad place)!  RV has excellent equipment and they know how to get trees down.

    ANDY'S TREE SERVICE
I called them on the phone to get a free estimate. I was told it wasn't worth it to come out if the job would be under $100. I told them I was sure it would be more than that. They were able to come out that afternoon. The owner of the business came out (Andy?). I told him my concerns. I had a couple dead or half dead large tree limbs that I wanted removed, one that ran directly over the garage. He was concerned that my tree was showing signs of oak wilt, a disease that will eventually kill it. He said he wasn't sure, he made no claim to be an arborist. He said I should do some research online. (I did end up looking into this online. For me, it was inconclusive, oak wilt mimics dehydration in oaks and it is mid July right now.) We talked a bit about what branches he thought would need to go. I think he was very thorough in this. He wrote up an estimate for me. He suggested that I call his insurance company (the name and number was on the estimate) if I had any doubts about his coverage. He told me that if I booked the job, he'd bring a cherry picker (my term, not his) truck, a chipper truck, and another truck and probably three men to do the job. They would take care of all the cleanup. I thanked him, he left. I did end up calling his insurance carrier, he is fully insured. I called him back a few days later to book the job and they said they would check his schedule and call me back. They called back the next day (Friday morning) and asked if they could come out Monday morning between 7:30-8:00. I said sure. They showed up right on time (7:40) and got right to work. Andy was there with three men, went over what was to be removed with me and with the guy he was leaving in charge (Mark). We talked again for a few minutes and the guys were already getting to work. All in all, they took about two hours. They cleaned up all the debris that came down, even raked part of my lawn. You can't even tell they were there, except for the missing tree limbs.

This tree service is remarkable. The prices were excellent. Sean the owner will walk the grounds and explain all procedures with you. No hidden costs. The crews were excellent and the clean up was amazing. I highly recommend this company. I had a total 22 trees and shrubs removed. Also all dead branches and limbs removed from other trees.
