    RV Trees did an outstanding job for our tree removal. We needed 7 trees removed from our property in Spring Lake, MI for a pool installation. 5 Trees were massive massive oak trees. Shawn come out almost immediately to give us a price quote after one phone call. We retained his services for our tree removal due his knowledge of what we needed done, along with RV Trees pricing was right on the mark. Shawn and his team were very professional and took good care in removing these trees without any damage to our yard or house. They had the best equipment (crane, bucket truck, chipper, front end loader etc.) to get the job done safely, along with the right equipment to remove these large trees. Once the trees were removed they grinded all the stumps down and cleaned up all the debris and wood as we agreed upon. Shawn���s word was as good as in writing. Shawn and his team did what he said they would do during our tree removal project! I would recommend RV Trees to anyone in the area looking to have any type of tree work done, large or small.     I was very happy with Scott's, but they ended up selling out to True Green. I had True Green in the past, but was not happy with their service. I had some issues with trying to get the maintenance scheduled with True Green. When Scott's took over after True Green, my yard started to improve. After Scott's sold though, I am now looking for someone else to use.

    The quote process went great with Amos with him giving me lots of options and me asking lots of questions. I was told up front that the excavator would show up on either a Monday or Wednesday and the pour crew would come one or two days later.

    I had to call several times to reschedule to work around a trip we were taking but did not have firm plans for. (5 week trip) Noble worked very nicely with me through this.

    The excavator came on a Wednesday at 8:00am. When they left at 10:30am, my old stuff was all gone and the forms were all in.

    The pour crew came on Thursday at 12:30pm and when they left at 3:30pm, all concrete was in, the forms were all gone, and my yard was back to normal except for needing top soil along the edges and grass seed which I finished on Saturday.

    The saw cut guy came Friday about 10:00am and we discussed several possible patterns before settling on large diamonds which was one of his recommendations. He then laid-out several rows with chalk line so I could see what he meant. When he left at about 1:00pm, he had swept the entire driveway and had blown with a leaf blower a little bit. He suggested I hose it all down latter to clean without "dusting" the entire neighborhood, which I did. It looks great.

    On Monday, I received a call from Noble's office offering to send someone out to neaten up my yard if I wanted them to. I thanked them but said I was all set.

    Provider did not come out when expected; came out a few days later and during the first heavy snow of the season; He brought many workers. The provider cleared leaves that I did not need cleared, not part of the original plan. Provider hauled the leaves away and I asked to only move them into the wooded area of my lot.

    The cost of the service came in $100-150 more than I expected because of the additional work. The work began before the snow started to fall but it was on its way that day (and in the forecast). I was not able to see the end product until spring and by then it was too late to recognize if they did a good job or not (we had a really hard, heavy winter).

    I may use the provider again but only if I am home to supervise or have drawn a diagram of where to clear well ahead of time with an agreed upon price that will not be exceeded.

    I use them on a regular basis. I started with them a year ago and I liked their service so I am continuing it this year. Their pricing is not exactly what I aimed for but they are always on time and I have never had any issues with them. Their people are very courteous and they do exactly what they are supposed to do. I would highly recommend them. Their price depends on what you get done. They have a menu of services that they offer and the price just depends on what you select. They are doing all the weeding, seeding and fertilizing for me and all the weekly cutting. They do the setting up and turning off of the irrigation system but I do not use them for plowing my snow on the driveway. They offer that service but I do not use them for that because I do that myself. They offer trimming services when you need it. It is a cafeteria menu and you just select what and when you need it. Some of them are competitively priced and some them are just kind of worn off stuff but I like that. I like their cafeteria menu and they price it so that you know exactly what you are paying for and you can decide whether you think it is fair or not.

    Never on time - scalped lawn - weedwacked flowers and shrubs - had to let them go after 8 mowings - no customer service after they get your money - He would not return any of my money! Worst lawn care on the planet!

    I admit talking with them they are very nice. However, they would show up at 2am and plow snow wake the entire house. When I did call and ask to have it plowed much later I could only get it to around 6am. Which was nice. They would plow and only run the blade maybe twice up and down the drive and never actually dropped the blade to clean the driveway so it still looks like a bad job. The end of the drive is barely able to get the car in. They do not seem to like to come in the daytime (I have asked and left voice mail to please have my drive cleared), I would get it at they route early in the morning. When they do show up to actually plow it is before the city plow goes through and it makes anything they did worthless. We have been waiting for more than a week for trying to get our driveway plowed and only get their answering machine and no return calls. I think they should stick to just landscape work. I do realize we are getting a lot of blowing snow this week, part of the job would be to only take on what you can handle. It has never be a factor of cost, I just prefer to have the driveway clear. I have got stuck twice in my own drive. If they don't want to work in the winter, don't offer it.

    Jerry did a full check-up of my two-stage snow blower while I waited at his shop. Also during the work he gave me a few tips on how to keep the machine in good condition. Excellent small engine guy with TONS of experience. I'll definitely use him again whenever I need service.

    Nicholson?s did an estimate for us a few
    years ago. When we were ready to install a system we called them up and asked
    what the cost would be now. They said they would honor the estimate. Chris, the
    owner said he also had a pump that we could purchase for $650 .The day he was
    supposed to come, my husband called and he said he had us down for the
    following week.  He told us he no longer had the $650 pump but had a
    better one for us that costs a little bit more. The little bit more turned out
    to be $240. His team arrived to install the system and while they were working
    they cut some electrical lines. These were old lines that were too shallow so
    the mistake was understandable. But my husband was then busy trying to figure
    out the electrical problems while the team was installing the system. Chris
    rushed off while my husband was off getting electrical parts and was
    gone. When they finished they then presented my husband with a long
    contract to read and sign which they said was just to "ok" them to be
    on our property. Then they said he had to pay in full even though in the bid it
    said 18 months with 0 interest. His team  finished up and were ready to leave as I was
    getting home from work. I got out of my car and looked down the driveway and
    thought "Why are all the sprinkler heads in the driveway?"  We
    have an  approximately 100 foot long gravel driveway with grass on either
    side and  about half the heads were clearly in the driveway where you can
    see that our vehicles would travel over them every day. When I pointed this out
    to the guys they said the heads are easy to move, that they are great heads
    and can handle the vehicles running over them and have a warranty on them. I
    said "No but the cars will go over them every day!" I do not
    understand how a professional irrigation company can come out and install
    sprinkler heads in a gravel driveway and think that isn't a
    problem. The valves were also installed in the driveway where we park our
    cars. Our next project is to cement the driveway. How do we do this now? What
    about the snow plow this winter? When they left, we turned on the system
    and the sprinklers were not adjusted at all. They were hitting my neighbor's
    window, watering the driveway and sidewalks and missing areas. We called,
    explained our issues and asked him to come back out to correct the work by
    moving  the valves and heads. We thought
    he would respond professionally and want to correct the work to make it right
    with the customer. He was argumentative, defensive and blamed us. He said it
    would be $300 to move the valves and he would move the heads but it would void
    our warranty. The electrician who was installing the pump did some work to fix
    the cut electrical lines while he was here. He was here for 6 hours which was
    part of the original bid but was charging us for 9 and a half hours.  After
    weeks of rude, unprofessional phone conversations Chris said he would come out
    to move them on a Friday afternoon. We waited all day. He called us at around
    5:45 pm to "make sure we were home." His guys arrived around  7 pm. They said Chris said before we do any
    work you have to pay us $816 ($300 to move the valves and  $516 for  the
    electrician.  We didn't want to pay for the electrician until we spoke
    with him about the overcharge so after another argumentative phone conversation
    with Chris, we sent them away. We were very upset, feeling threatened and  feeling like we were dealing with people with
    no integrity. We decided we didn't want them on our property again. We have had
    5 sprinkler heads break this summer as they were run over by cars. We went to
    the distributer in Holland who laughed and knew immediately who installed them
    before we told him. He said there is no warranty on them, that Chris just tells
    people that and that he wishes he would stop using his product.  Chris was
    rude and unprofessional, threatening  and
    difficult to work with. This has been a huge hassle which could have and should
    have been handled quickly, easily and professionally. In my experience this
    contractor does not have any integrity or care about customer satisfaction. He
    just wants to get the job done, get paid and move on. Do not use Nicholson
    Irrigation! We are not the first complaint. Wish I would have checked Angie's
    List first!
