  • This was my third time visiting Irene's Myomassology Clinic. If you don't mind having students work on you, the price is definitely right. The staff and atmosphere is pleasant as well. I have had two students work on me and both did an excellent job. They are very attentive. They make sure to ask what brings you in, what type of pressure you like (light, medium, hard), etc. If you come in with needs (e.g., stiff neck/back pain), they pay special attention to those areas and always remind their clients to drink plenty of water to flush the toxins out. The only down side is the fact that because they are students, there is the rotation of students; however, this is still not bad because every time I have gone back, each student has been very good.

  • I started going to Essential Massage when I moved to the area about 8 months ago. I get massages on a very regular basis (1-2 per month) and I have always had a great experience. They have very flexible hours and are even open on Sunday. I have almost always been able to get in the same day I call (as long I am not too picky about which massage therapist I see).

  • This is a large thank you for help getting me up and moving and feeling so much better again - after being basically bedridden 24/7 for over 3 years. Even after 3 surgeries on my back and legs, I was still in pain. and not responding to any type of therapy, massages, nutritionist, chiropractors, etc.

Shortly after you started using the new nerve technique that you learned in Chicago (believe it's called NST) this past fall- I have been able to get up from bed and walking. I am also able to resume my business and see clients again. Even my clients have noticed the improvement and have commented how much I have improved. One even said (when speaking with them over the phone) that I sounded as good as I did 5 years ago. Also a massage therapist friend of mine noticed such an improvement in me, since you've been using this new technique, she called it a miracle! She immediately man an appointment herself and has referred several other friends to you as well.

I would no hesitate to recommend you and your NST treatment to anyone having issues or challenges wit their body. Once again, thank you very much for helping me get my life back!

  • I love going there. I feel so good when I come out from a message. I keep saying I need to go back. I even purchased a gift card for my friend. The students are nice. You can choose either male or female. It is a clean facility and the people are nice. I really like going to them. They offer a senior discount and they are open on the weekends.

  • Massages were given by both male and female masseuses. Masseuses were both young and older. The quality was the same - excellent. In fact I was thinking of making an appointment this week. The only reason I haven't been back is because of a long term serious illness and I now work in a different part of town.

  • I've been to Irene's several times. It's very professional, but the massage therapists don't tend to have "hard hands" or to be interested in serious muscle work. Very sweet and relaxing, but not good for real aches and pains.

  • I worked with Diane and she is very good at NMT and therapeutic massage. She did a structural evaluation that took a bit of time, but she worked my shoulder and scapula well. She restored most of the range of motion. She's humorous and kind. I think she also instructs massage, which to me means a lot. I would recommend her or her business partner for any post-injury or post-accident work. I think they can bill insurance, but I paid out of pocket because it wasn't ordered by my doctor. They didn't mind out of pocket patients, which is nice from the medical type massage field.

  • I booked a session at IMI's student clinic (serves the public) after checking out their school. The clinic is staffed by students but is run and supervised by professional massage therapists. It was easy to book appointments and the staff was quite nice. I could say if I wanted male or female, and I chose female. The intake form was simple, just a page or so. The student reviewed my history and asked what I wanted to have done. I wanted work on my neck, shoulder, gluteals, and feet. She addressed all of those areas very well. (These are advanced students who have taken exams to get into the clinic.) She also did basic relaxation (Swedish) massage and some reflexology on my feet. She offered peppermint aromatherapy, but I declined. She kept me comfortably draped at all times, and I was impressed with the strong ethics and professionalism. My massage was better than another local professional massage business, so I was very pleased because the price makes it so affordable! A supervisor did stick their head in during the massage, which interrupted a little, but I suppose they have to ensure that the students are learning and aren't stuck on any technique. Overall it was a great experience and I will return again.

  • His philosophical approach to massage spoke to me. His understanding of musculature was impressive, he had the strength and sensitivity to use pressure points to advantage, and he spoke to me about the bones in my neck and back in the same terms as the chiropractor. His office is cool, but I was comfortable because I was always covered except for the area of the body he was working on. He has something else that I m never experienced with another masseur, a gentle warmth radiating from his finger tips. I appreciated his call the next day to ask how I was doing. Best of all, I regained the full range and motion with my left arm. Since then, he has trained in Thai massage in Thailand and incorporates elements of that style into the massage, if requested. I ve continued to have periodic massages and found his expert skill to be a constant.
