    ABDF Remodeling
Jeff and his wife Becky started work on my house the day and time we agreed upon. They completed the agreed upon tasks on the day I indicated I needed the work done. Jeff also completed a number of handyman jobs I had been putting off for a long time. His prices and quality of work were very good. I would contract with him for any future needs and would not hesitate to recommend him to my friends.

    Yeager Roofing
Very prompt with the quote. They kept us updated weekly, prior to the install date. They had the job completed, underlayment and new membrane laid, skylights replaced with the frames built up higher all in one day. They did an outstanding job! I would highly recommend Yeager Roofing!

    Bill Green Drywall
Very unprofessional crew. Blasting their radio. Asked them to turn down radio due to our kids having piano lesson, and we heard them mocking our kids for taking lessons. Left the area a mess without cleaning, left dripped mud all over the walls, their cuts looked like they were made with a butter knife. When we started painting, found numerous issues with the finish work. The carpenterteam is going to have to fix their mistakes because the general contractor overseeing the construction doesn't want the drywallers back at our house because of how uncomfortable they made my wife feel. This company should be avoided at all costs.

    Gary's Painting
The quality of workmanship performed is outstanding. They are honest, reliable, and show up as promised. Our house was in total disrepair from water damage, rodents, and age. Gary and his brother took a great deal of time examining the walls prior to performing the work and suggested cost effective ways to save costs such as painting in all 1 color when providing estimate. We are amazed at the final results - the entire home looks brand new! All cracks and holes repaired and walls and ceilings look brand new. They are perfectionists! They performed on time and as agreed. I would highly recommend Gary's Painting to everyone I know.

    Tri-Pups, Inc
We asked Tri-Pups to make it look like our side entrance was never there.  We wanted the siding on the house to blend in, the new wood flooring that replaced the stairs to match the rest of the wood, the new baseboards to match, etc.  And they did just that!  When we tell people there used to be an entrance there, they have to see the pictures to believe it.  It looks amazing!  We were really impressed by the wood floors - you can't tell the new flooring from the old.

We've used (and continue to use) Tri-Pups for all our home repair/maintenance/upgrade needs.  We were initially referred to them by someone putting gutter guards on our home.  They served with Tri-Pups on the local chamber of commerce.  Tri-Pups first project for us was building a fence in our backyard.  They did a great job, so we just kept hiring them.  So far we've had them build a fence, install ceiling fans, re-grout a shower, install baby locks, fix a toilet, fix an outdoor electrical outlet, add a door lock to a sliding door, build custom baby gates....

They always show up on time, explain what they are doing, do the work and clean up.  They always leave the space they are working in cleaner than what they found it.

Everyone on the team is friendly, easy to talk to and we just feel comfortable with them.  Since their team is so small, we know everyone on a first name basis.  It's very comforting knowing you can come and go while they are working in the house and not feel at all worried.  While their competitors may have lower prices, Tri-Pups will not sacrifice quality.  Chris is very detailed (along with Debbie and everyone else) with his work.  If he's putting his name on it, it will be done correctly.  This is one of the many benefits of working with a small business - the owners are only as good as their reputation and Tri-Pups takes their reputation very seriously.

    CertaPro Painters of Mid Michigan
At first it was a bit rocky. The original painter did not do a good job and was let go from the project. Dan then brought in two of his best guys to do the job right. They fixed every last ding and dent in the walls. They taped and patched all the terrible ceiling blemishes and did an overall excellent job. Much better than I was ever expecting.

    KEN'S DRYWALL SVC
Scott came out when requested for estimate, was flexible in planning and starting the project. Once started worked in timely fashion. Overall I am completely satisfied with the quality of work performed. And would not hesitate to have them do more work in the future.

    Hallam'S Doors & More

First of all, he came in in a hurry to do the estimate.  He basically was there for 5 minutes and said, "yes, I can do the job."  He said he would get me an estimate.  I live out-of-state and was getting this particular house ready to sell. When I got his estimate back I thought it was a bit high ($600!) but he was available to do the job and I had a cabinet/countertop guy lined up for the next week, so I hired Chris Hallam to install the flooring.  Big mistake!  He called me once and asked about installing the vinyl on the entry way stairs, even though we had discussed that if there was enough material, then he was to do the stairs.  He sent me a few "blurry" photos when he was finished and then asked if I could overnight the check so he could deposit it in the bank on Friday.  I accommodated him, but not with overnight mail, with priority mail.  He received the check and quickly deposited it.

Two weeks later I returned to Michigan to finish up some painting, the yard, etc. to get the house ready to sell.  When I walked in, expecting to see the beautiful flooring installed as it should be, I was appalled at what was left unfinished!!  He had not installed any transition strips, he cut way to wide of gaps along the walls, pieced together a 4 inch wide strip at the door, and at the stairway door!  In addition, he never cut the vinyl to go under the closet door, so it was clearly visible the partially torn-up old flooring 4 inches in front of the closet door!!  It was less than an amateur job!

I called Chris he came over and said, "Oh yeah, I didn't install the transition strips, because I would've had to cut a groove into the hardwood floor."  Duh! No you wouldn't!  Less than 3 feet away was the bathroom where I had just installed some new flooring and used a metal transition strip!  I asked him why he didn't use that, when I had more sitting there and he said he didn't know!  He even posted my "unfinished" flooring installation on his Hallam's Doors & More Facebook page!

I told him I needed the job finished and I should've known better, but I hired him to do some patch and painting work and install a simple tile-looking wallboard for backsplash.  He wanted another $625 to do the work and used 6 sheets of the wallboard, instead of the 2 1/2 I had estimated would be needed!  He measured incorrectly, used the wrong tools/saw and cut on the front-side instead of the backside, even though I pointed it out to him that doing so eliminated chipping the finish side!  He ended up with over three 4x8ft sheets of waist and wanted me to pay for the sheets he messed up on! Then wanted to collect the check when he hadn't finished the trim work!  He said the trim work was not in the contract and that he was doing it out of the kindness of his heart!  Really?? Finish work requires trim work!!

Last, but not least, he told me he could have the work done by Wednesday of that week and it was Friday afternoon and he still wasn't finished!  He advertises on his Facebook page that he can get work done FAST!  He works fast, because he is like a Bull in a China Shop!!  I could live with the few extra days if it was done right in the first place!

I had to finish the work myself!!

DO NOT HIRE, unless you don't care what it looks like when he is done!
