    ACTION FENCE CO
BUYER BEWARE! Action Fence sells and installs Elite fence product. The actual product is of high quality. Company, however, is low quality and will take your full payment and never show up for warranty work or repairs. Here's the story: Installers failed to install gate properly - installed it to open out when it hit a branch within 1 ft of opening out (was supposed to open in) and had to rehang gate. Left lots of drill holes in posts that had to be filled. Screws holding on gate hinges continually broke bc they were not heavy duty. Called action fence. Did not respond to calls or warranty issues. Had to fix myself after paying he company over $3,800. Action Fence also installed one hinge backwards, which caused gate to hang unevenly. Called company for repair. No response. Spoke to owner, Terry, on phone Bree times and he told me he would fix the problem. Terry just blew me off and never showed up for repair appointments. Reported Action Femce to Better Business Bureau to rectify the situation. Action Fence never responded to BBB. Had to hire a second company to come fix hinge, which was installed backwards and caused a 1 1/4" gap between gate and pole instead of the correct 3/4" gap (when hinge was reversed and installed correctly). It's too bad when companies like Action Femce and Terry, the comaony's owner, take people's money and don't follow through or stand behind their work. Action Femce and Terry will quickly take your deposit and improperly install your gate/fence. Terry and Action Femce, however, will never show up again to fix any problems or warranty issues once they have been fully paid. Shame on you Terry and Action Fence!

    Paramount Fence, LLC
Called them up,no answer. So I go online and oh joy I get to fill out a form. Well that's ok they will look at the property and call with an estimate. Well maybe I am stoopid and messed something up but I never heard from them.

    Mr Fence Inc

I don't remember all the details, it was 2013, we received  an estimet,  they gave us a projected time, depending on the weather, rain.  you have to wait for mother nature to do her thing.  Once they started, it was completed in a timely fashion. it looked beautiful when they were done.  I love it.  we stained it ourselves a dark brown, to match the house.  No gapes, so my dogs cant get out.   only down side was their goffer dumped some excess cement in my flower bed around some plants.  I didn't say anything, they did me a favor of setting

my real fire hydrant (non working in cement. they were higher priced than any of the other fence companies.  I was going to use them this year for a fancy aluminum arched gate, a wraught iron style.  but changed my mind at the last minute,  I decided against getting the gate.

the workers were very polite, answered any questions I had, to my satisfaction.  No swearing, Very professional.

    Paramount Fence, LLC
After calling two other highly rated Angie's list fencing contractors and being disappointed in their lack of follow through after wasting my time and theirs by coming out and taking measurements and then not providing an estimate, even after I e-mailed them both and reminded them I needed their estimate, I found Paramount online.  Within an hour after talking to Autumn on the phone and giving her the measurements, she sent me the estimate for the work to be done.  I did have one other estimate, but Paramount saved me money.   The installers that came out to do the work were great.  They worked nonstop for three days.  They tore down 56 feet of damaged/destroyed picket fence and built a new picket fence onsite.  They tore down 184 feet of damaged/destroyed privacy fence, which I had replaced with a chain link fence.  They tore down 20 feet of aging privacy fence that connected my house and my neighbor's, and built a new shadowbox fence for us onsite.  They took out my aging 10 foot shadowbox gate across my driveway, and built a new one onsite.  I was very impressed with the work they did and how hard they worked.  I never saw them take a break.  My experience with Paramount was great. From Autumn who took my call, sent me an e-mail estimate, and then came out and measured herself, to the three installers who did the work, I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

    TAYLOR MADE FENCE LLC
Everything was great. They did everything they promised. When the gate didn't close quite as tight as we needed because of our dog, they came back and added a second drop bar to make the gate fully secure for our pitt bull. Very happy with the work.

The job went great. We had to put Russ off a couple of times due to delays with the new driveway that the fence was going to surround. He was very accommodating - I'd told him in advance that would more than likely occur. He asked for a 50% down payment, which was fine with us. He had been recommended highly by an acquaintance of mine who had just built a new home and had fencing put up by him. They have two small children and entrusted their safety to Russ. I felt I could trust him with our dog! When we met I liked him. He's a young guy starting his own business and I can appreciate the entrepreneurial spirit and drive. When the driveway was settled enough for him to walk on, I called him and he was out in a couple days - he was working a couple other jobs. He showed up with another guy and dug out the holes, placed the poles and cemented them in no time. He came back two days later and had the whole thing done in hours. It looks incredible and we are VERY happy. The only thing that concerned me was the wire clippings from the metal twists used to keep the fence attached to the pole, that were left on the ground here and there. I can't bring myself to give him a and quot;Band quot; because of it. I'm sure others would. I'm cutting him slack because it was very cold and started raining on the poor guys about halfway through the installation, but kept working. I'm sure it was an oversight, as I doubt they could see them in the rain and wet dirt. My concern is that my dog might have stepped on one (he walks the fence line often). He said he was not on Angie's List and I told him I would get him set up. Its taken a couple of weeks for me to get to it (I'm doing the concrete and another contractor's reviews today also)... In short, I recommend him. I hope this review generates some calls for him (although it is now nearly Christmas) at some point. I like giving the and quot;underdogsand quot; an opportunity - I was one once and I know how hard it is to break through.
I talked to a few other places about the fencing and was blown off by two of them and the place we thought we would be going with sent a salesman with a 3-ring binder and sales presentation for a $1200 job that they inflated to $1900. He didn't know what he was talking about - at all - when out in the yard talking about what needed to happen. I was going to call some more places, but we liked Russ enough not to bother doing so. It was a good call. :-)

    KIMBERLY FENCE & SUPPLY INC
Contacted company via email with drawing of the work I needed done. Company took around 2-3 days to get back to me with a quote. Quote seemed a little high compared to some other companies, but Kimberly fence was one of the better review companies on angieslist. Deposit was paid at their office and I was told that the job was small enough to do in-between other jobs. I emailed the next day and stressed that the work needed to be done by the weekend if possible. They responded back the same day and said they would try hard to get it done, and at the very least they would be able to get the posts in. Two days later and I arrived home to three brand new gates. Kimberly  Fence did a great job and I will probably use them again when I am ready to replace the back fence.

    FREDERICK COLLINS CONSTRUCTION & REPAIR
I called Fred and he came out right away (literally that day!)  and gave me an estimate on putting a fence around my house.  He got the estimate to me by the next morning.  There was a small hiccup with the start time of the project although it was more of a miscommunication.  He had a crew of guys, some were his sons, and they came out and got the majority of the work done in about 1 day.  The only thing left for the next day was putting up the gates and finishing the small metal fence.  They did a quality job on the work.  They didn't use the prefabbed fence panels. They did each slat individually and therefore it is much stronger and better looking than a prefabbed panel.  I was hesitant to get a wood fence as i wanted a vinyl fence originally but the price was just too much and i am glad i went this route as it looks great and the vinyl just seemed kinda cheap unless you got the really expensive stuff.  Anyway, i would highly recommend Fred, you can tell just from the first few minutes of meeting him that he is a very honest person with great pride in his work and you will get your money's worth from him.
