    The Carpet Guys LLC
Couldnt be more happy with the carpet guys especially the crew they sent out specifically Grant Hutchison. He went above and beyond and was very courteous. I also am not able to find the seam in the carpet they had to do so that is a great thing..

I had new carpet installed in my upstairs condo. Both bedrooms and the stairwell were done. Nathan was the consultant that came out initially and he was a pleasure to work with. He brought samples in the house and we discussed my options and pricing. Nathan was very professional and answered all my questions. Brett and Alberto were the installers that came out to do the install. They did an outstanding job. They were incredibly meticulous and took time to get job done right. They stayed the entire day to get it done and made sure to cleanup along the way. The carpet looks amazing and i couldn't have asked for a better experience.

    The Carpet Guys LLC
Our salesperson, Maz, was professional, and able to figure out quickly what we wanted and needed. The price was fair, as we picked out a high grade of carpeting and there was additional work to be done. We received the whole-house discount, and because our son had referred them to us, he will also get a $100 thank you referral fee from the company. The Carpet Guys arrived on time the day of installation, were great to work with, and did an excellent job. Our installers were Brett, Josh, and John, a father-sons team that worked extremely well together. They spent the entire day at our house, as the job entailed moving the large furniture and pulling up the old carpet. We are so pleased with the results! The carpet is low but a dense pile, exactly what we wanted for the wear it will get. The installation was perfect - seams that are undetectable, edges fit snugly up to the baseboards, and stairs that are covered beautifully, even improving upon the way the old carpet had been installed. The installers were very efficient in the clean-up, removing all scraps and old carpet and pad to the front of our lot for garbage day pickup, vacuuming the new carpet, and returning the furniture to the proper rooms. We highly recommend The Carpet Guys, and if you can get the installer team of Brett, Josh and John, even better.

    World of Floors
Ralph helped us pick out carpet for our home and educated us on types of carpet. He promised us it would be installed by Thanksgiving and he worked diligently to make that happen. The installers were very professional and fast! Now we have gorgeous carpet in our home and happy with all the folks at World of Floors!!

They did a fantastic job despite the fact that the floor under the existing tile turned out to be in really bad shape.  The price was cheaper than i was expecting, and the work is very high quality.  I'm extremely happy with my new basement floor, and would definitely recommend them.

    Selective Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning
I called Selective Carpet Cleaning on Friday 4/8/16 to schedule a cleaning after having had a positive experience with them in the past. An appointment was made to have the carpet in our basement cleaned, disinfected, and deodorized between the hours of 12pm and 2pm on Saturday, 4/9/16. I received a quote of $129, and was advised that the crew would contact me when they were en route.
At roughly 1:45pm on Saturday, 4/9/16, I contacted Selective Carpet Cleaning to inquire where the crew was, as the end of the appointment window was approaching. I was informed that the representative scheduled to work at my home was running behind, but would be wrapping up soon and would be heading my way right after he was done with the current job.
At 3:05pm, I had still not received a call from the rep scheduled to work at my home, so I called Selective Carpet cleaning again to obtain the status of the rep's arrival.
The representative I spoke with was surprised to hear that the rep scheduled to work at my home had not called yet. I informed her that I was no longer willing to pay the full $129 that I had been quoted, as they had missed their two-hour appointment window by over an hour, costing me valuable time on a weekend. She stated that she was unwilling to come down on price to compensate for their tardiness, so I cancelled the appointment with the intention of awarding the job (and all subsequent future jobs) to one of Selective Carpet Cleaning's many competitors. I am very disappointed that my previous positive experience with Selective Carpet Cleaning has been soured by this one.

The Royal Oak store on Woodward Ave has a beautiful, spacious display and extremely great staff.   All appoimntments were kept on time.  I had to call with a technical question and the owner, Bruce got the answer and called me back promptly.  Installation went well and we are extremely happy.

Main Floor Carpet One Floor & Home
This is a difficult review. Mostly because I do not know where to start as the process with this company was both frustrating, and acceptable. However the frustrating aspects are pushing me towards not recommending this company. We stopped in to look at carpet. Scott (owner) was there, he seemed fairly decent, albeit a bit pushy. I wrote the book on sales techniques, including how they use mind manipulation. He pushed us into what he wanted, which ironically, was also what we wanted so I didn't put up too much of a fight. The problems started when he promised to leave a sample with us overnight. Instead he took the sample from our home, despite my wife not being there to see it - she was pretty furious at this broken promise.
I repeatedly asked him if he factored certain areas of our home for carpet. He assured me he did.. The next day I called to ensure 'everyone' there was on the same page about the places I wanted covered - they were. (or so they said) We were promised installation on Saturday to fit our schedules. So far up to this point things were 'acceptable' despite the carpet sample issue. The installers arrived that Saturday. We did have additional furniture to move. Unfortunately the moving people didn't come to take away the old stuff we were replacing. My intention was to purchase coffee and donuts for the installers, and tip them for the sofa and chair they would have to move.. Instead, they called and complained to Scott, who promptly informed us 'additional' charges would apply. Apparently it costs $10.00 a minute for these installers to move a sofa?  Fine.. No tip, no coffee, no donuts.. Now the owner makes the money, not the installers. No problem.
Bad attitudes were plentiful with these installers. Angry faces weren't the only thing to betray their anger, the body language, and talking were the best indicators. When you show up to service someones home you usually introduce yourself, then shake their hand. These guys have ZERO manners... I don't like angry people in my home, so this was pretty uncomfortable.  Then the country music started blasting... One of them turned on loud country music, overshadowing the TV program we were watching in the other room, again, lack of class and respect. But I would tolerate that as long as the job was done properly, but would it? Unfortunately, as I expected - they didn't carpet some of the stairs, when I specifically asked Scott and his team - THREE TIMES if they factored the stairs! Now this whole thing started to annoy me...
I have security cameras everywhere inside/outside of my home. During the installation I noticed one of them took a perfect rug-shaped piece of the carpet I PAID FOR and hid it in their truck, and I kept this in the back of my mind.  After the job was done, I asked if there were any 'scraps', and they told me there was a piece in the closet. I specifically asked if that was the only scraps, and I was told yes, it was. I followed them out to the van, and said 'I will take the rug shaped scrap hidden in your van.".. The installer gave me a dirty look, paused, opened his van, and handed me the piece.. Without cameras, I'd of never known, and would have missed a wonderful piece of carpet to use as a rug in the basement. They wanted 'full payment' for the job, despite not carpeting the stairs saying they would deduct $100 until it's done.. I'm not dumb - what's the chance of seeing them come back to finish the job with only $100 in escrow? So instead I made up an excuse about not having the credit card to finish the payment. They seemed frustrated, but I said if it was only 3-4 days to finish it why does it matter if they get have to wait for the other half? Hehe. They left feeling angrier than the angry guys they already are, and I felt pretty good at that point about not letting anyone push me around.
After they left I inspected the job. Clearly they were too lazy to 'move' cables to vacuum up pieces. In fact they were pretty sloppy, and I had to immediately vacuum the entire carpeted areas, and removed a full bag of fibers. (see pictures) Upon further inspection I found 'sloppy' work in many spots. These guys don't properly push and tuck carpet, in some spots there were 3/4inch gaps between the carpet and wall! Sloppy. (see pictures) I guess I didn't expect much more from these guys to be honest. So I called Scott to tell him. He came out that night, and walked in and said "Wheres the sloppy work?".. He didn't even look closer at it, and said 'I will have them re-tuck it later.". I said "I like the job overall but..." then he cut off and said 'of course you do!".. Wow can you be any more arrogant? My wife was appauled at his arrogance, and seemingly uncaring, or unlistening attitude. If you notice other reviews here you will find 'dismissal' of customer concerns to be how this place does business.
Why the lower review? The carpet is gorgeous, and very high quality. Everything else was pretty lousy. I'd never use this place again.

Prompt return call to set appointment.  Rep who brought samples to our home was professional and helpful.  Company was very understanding when we had to change instillation date.  The crew arrived on time, introduced themselves and were professional  every step of the way.  We have had many complements on the work, especially how the pattern on the stairway was  laid.

It was a good experience. It was only one person which I thought was weird. He did a good job. He really cared about his work. He was clean. I was very satisfied. There were a couple of scuffs on the wall but he did point them out. His price was fine but it was part of the whole deal. They were subcontractor to Home Depot. He called and told me he was on the way them came and did it.
