    In 2008 we purchased a Heat Controller wall mounted inverter mini-split system, Century VMC24S, 24.000 but 16 SEER 410A 2 ton single zone ductless mini split system from Bill at A-Tech Heating & Cooling. We paid $3,924.00 for this unit. Since then it has been the most frustrating, aggravating machine we've ever experienced. We have had to have several service calls EACH YEAR since its installation. We pleaded with Bill the first few years to replace the unit. He refused. So, the service calls & damage has continued. Each year we have it inspected & cleaned. We clean the filters ourselves each year also. Still we have water dripping inside damaging our home. This has been a hot summer, so far, and I've run the A/C more than usual. It worked great last week. I turned it on this morning and another flood inside on my newly installed floor. When is enough, enough? 8 yrs ago?, 7? 6? 5? 4? 3? 2? Is this the year I tell them to pull the blasted thing out? Then what? What are my options? We have boiler heat so central air is not an alternative. Window units wil not work in this house either. The repair techs show up as scheduled & on time, but no matter what they say is wrong or what they do to correct the problem, it always returns. I cannot even count how many different techs we've had show up. Bill, however, has never come over to discuss is. When you call the office he is always out. Each repair tech seems to think they are the expert on this unit and know what is wrong. I sure wish one of them would be right. I keep hoping each time that it's the last time. They are scheduled to show up again tomorrow morning. I do not know if I will be charged or not. I always pay for the annual inspection service call, but usually do not pay for the service calls to stop the water. As for the question "would I hire again"? I'm stuck. Any other heating & cooling company would charge me. And if they don't fix it, A-Tech might say we had someone else service it and they will no longer "fix" it for us. Then what?

    From the sales experience to the installation work was beyond our expectations. The installation crew was considerate, worked in an efficient manner, cleaned up after completion and instucted us on how to use the unit. The unit functions just like the sales person told us it would.

    Excellent! I call the Monday after a holiday and they were booked but said they would try to get me in if they could. It didn't work out but they were out before noon the next day. The technician was friendly and said he knew what the problem was as soon as he heard the noise it was making. He replaced the condenser and within 20 minutes we had air conditioning again. He showed me the part he replaced and where it was damaged and what a new one looks like. It was $99 for the service call and $50 for the part. I was able to put the cost on my credit card on file.

    They are here instantly, and seemingly when I need. I want my furnace people to show up right away, and not be telling me that I have to wait for three days. Their promptness in response to our call for help was excellent. It was a service call, and he was able to make the repair all within the same time as the call charge. I would use them again in the future, and I refer them to everyone else who has a heating problem.
