    Their services are more than excellent. The cost of service last time was free because I got a lease. They are a little bit pricey compared to a local station I might go to. The only thing is they are so busy that is because they are so good.

    To make a long story short. They rebuilt my 1951 - 308 Ci motor and after it stalled at almost every light after $ 3333.65 they pulled the motor again in fall of 2011, because the valves were bent and all new valves gaskets etc  The second time shouldn't have cost me a thing in my opinion but it cost me $1317.50 to get it back 
       It's only been 7 years and no more than 8000 miles. I put 1140 miles on it 2 weeks ago for a Hudson meet. I had to put 2 quarts in it to get there and another quart when I got home, other than that it ran just like it's suppose to..  They are really nice guys and I really hate to write this about what happened but it did. I have all the receipts and dates.

    They did a nice job. We just got back from Oklahoma and there was hail and our car was damaged from the storm. They gave us a nice estimate, they're competitive with the others, and they did our car right away. They made me feel good about it and they guarantee their work for the life of the car. They're just easy to deal with. They dealt with the insurance and everything, it was smooth, and they did a great job, you can't even tell that it was damaged.

    I had priced this job at two other Ford dealers and two independent shops within 15 miles and Vanderhyde beat both other quotes by $100. Vanderhyde has done this (beat quotes by over $75) on a couple other occasions. Also, the vehicle has had a couple of recalls - Vanderhyde more often than not beats other Ford dealers in being able to schedule work within a day or two vs others of more than a week.

    Marked them down to a B on Professionalism - not sure this is the appropriate category - Had oil changed. My vehicle has computer system that notifies me when oil change is recommended with a flashing -scrolling text on instrument panel. This would be obvious to anyone who started the engine and drove the vehicle in and out of service bay. In past other Ford dealers have reset after oil change but this was not done. This is very minor issue but detracts from 100% satisfaction.

    Vanderhyde Ford is first place I think of when scheduling mechanical repair work.

    Bob's Transmissions of West Michigan
    This is a follow-up to the review that I posted a week earlier for a transmission rebuild that I had done at Bob's Transmissions of West Michigan.  We were pleased with that service, but a week later my daughter calls saying that the car won't hardly move and she can barely get it home. Of course I suspect the transmission, so I call Bob's Transmission. Bob answers the phone as usual, and I tell him that my car with his new transmissions will run, but it hardly moves. Without hesitation, he asks for the vehicle location, and sends a wrecker out immediately to pick it up. He has it brought to his shop, and checks it out. He test drives it and can't immediately find any problem, but bad weather is closing in and it is the end of the business day, so he calls me and tells me that he will check it out further the next day. No problem. The next day Bob calls with good news and not-so-good news.  The good news is that there does not appear to be any problems with the new transmission.  The not-so-good news is that the problem is a plugged-up catalytic converter, which is causing no power or acceleration from the engine.  But Bob has sourced a new one locally for a reasonable price and while exhaust work is not his usual work, he has it apart and is willing to install the new catalytic converter for me. Sounds good, I will pick it up after work. When I get to Bob's shop after work, there is my car, ready to go. I walk in to pay Bob and ask him what I owe him.  He charges me only what he paid for the part - not even any labor.  He didn't even charge me for the towing, even though the problem wasn't with his transmission!  And he apologized to me for my inconvenience! That, folks, is service. The car has run flawlessly since we got it back.  I absolutely would not hesitate to use Bob's Transmissions of West Michigan again and I highly recommend them!

    We took both our vehicles to a national tire dealer for replacements.  Both had reached 98,000 miles in the same month and we expected there to be ware and a possible issue in addition to the new tires.  Combined estimates of work needed on the vehicles by this national dealer was over $2600 BEFORE new tires.  We immediately sought out a second opinion, preferably someone local without ties to a national company (and therefore no commission or sales marks to make).  
    Todd and his employees at Cedar Rock Auto were the perfect fit.  They took in both vehicles with the information from our first estimate and let us know what was truly in need of replacement, what could wait for a few months to fix, and what was normal ware not needing attention at this time.  We ended up paying less than 1/3 of the original estimate!!  Todd was also able to refer us to a good tire dealer as well that brought our total costs to under the $2600 we thought we might have to pay just to keep our vehicles safe.  We will certainly turn to Cedar Rock Auto for our car care needs in the future!

    Rockford Quick Lube
    Roger and his employees were quick and efficient.  They let me know what items needed to be replaced or those that could go until the next oil change. (i.e. the air filter).  Wish I'd had a coupon to off set some of the cost but being the location is close to home instead of our former oil change place 15 miles away and the quality of the work - I think I came out ahead in the end.

    I am happy with them. It is where I got the car, so I always go back there. You get points, if you stay with them, to use on cost of oil changes. The price and quality are excellent. They are responsive, punctual, and professional. I will continue to use this company.

    I brought the care in.  They told me it would take from 1-1 1/2 hours, and it took 45 minutes.  They said that everything was fine except for one minor problem with the rear brakes, and I okayed them to fix it.  That fix took less than a half hour, so I wasn't in there very long at all.  They have a TV to watch and free wifi, so I kept busy.
