    Terrible. In the last 2 years I have called this guy 3 times for appliance repair. No one answers the calls or returns voice messages. I can not believe Buffum Appliance Repair and Parts is still listed in Angies List especially with an "A" rating. Try Kevin's or Apex Appliance Repair. They will definitely return your call and repair you appliances.

    I was very happy with their service. They scheduled an appointment with a time range of 8:00a.m. - Noon. He called before arriving around 8:00 and was done within a half hour. He was very polite, professional and was quick with diagnosis and repair. He also said if I had any problems to not hesitate to call. I would definitely use their services in the future.

    They were prompt in coming out and called ahead to let me know when they would be there.  Doubled check the day before to make sure we were still a go.  The service person came out and looked things over but found it to be a problem not related to the washer itself.  He even fixed the other problem which was not related to the washer which was very thoughtful and nice of him to do that.  Basically saved me from having to call someone out for that problem.  Very nice to see businesses that still go above and beyond the norm.  That is how I run my business.  Thank you for your help on my situation.  I would recommend this company!

    We recently moved to area, Angies List is a big help in locating service providers. We had a refigerator that was running constantally and the temps in the freezer were too warm.
    Overall, if using Miller's Appliance Service (MA) we urge you to check out first what Millers fees are. We noticed several MA repairs reported on Angies List were well below what they charges us for labor and trip charge alone. Our bill as follows: Trip charge $79.95, Labor, $75. and parts 59.00, total $206.Note  We were told Angie's LIst 15% coupon for MA is for parts only and we live in their basic service area.
    Called MA Friday afternon and their Monday service was timely, MA does not work on weekends. When service man came, I told them the refigeraor ran too much and the freezer was too warm.
    They said we needed a new condesser fan, the part was not on their truck, but was at the local GR warehouse. They said they will call for time to come and install new fan motor. MA called Wed to install part Thursday.
    Thursday they installed part, but the refigerator was still noisy. The repair man said we may need an upper fan motor, but we should wait to see how the refigeratoar runs. We said right now the refigerator still sounds pretty noisy. This part was not on their truck, but would cost over $100 plus labor, so we said we would see how the refig worked with the new fan motor.
    Nest day the refigterator still was very noise and freezer still too warm. I didn't want to pay more money to repair an older rifig after first being told that the new fan motor would fix our refig. So I got busy on the web, found the needed upper General Electric fan motor for almost half the parts cost MA would charge, ordered and installed the moter myself. Refigerator runs great now. 
    It was never my intent to  pay a service tect to diagnose our refigerator and get the  parts and put it in mykself to save money. But given the circumstances I was not happy to pay $206 to repair my refigerator, then learn that more parts and labor were neeed.  
    I think MA should make a profit on their parts. From my research looking at the GE factory parts we needed, MA charged us about 150-180% above the GE retail list price list. MA should get wholesale prices (way below retail price list). We think MA trip chage plus labor plus mark on retail prices is excessive considering unsatisfactory service, high prices, and slow parts turn around (Monday-Thursday).
    We will look for another repair service next time we need an appliance repair.

    I was happy he gave me options and was patient explaining the problem.  They were running late but I had to call them(two minutes before they were scheduled) to see their timeframe instead of receiving a call letting me know they were running late.  They worked fast and I was happy with the results.

    When the repairman arrived, he knew exactly what the problem was. Just that week there was a recall on the gasket sealing the ice maker (which is located in the refrigerator compartment). He thawed the motor and replaced the gasket and It has been operational ever since!

    He was exceptional!  He was able to come to my house only a few hours after I called him.  He explained everything he was doing as he was doing different things.  Everything turned out OK, and he did not try to "sell" me extra work or component parts.
    I know he works on other types of appliances (microwaves, ovens, etc) and I will be calling him soon about another refrigerator.
    He was polite, thorough, well dressed, and just an overall nice guy, as well as being very knowledgeable.  He was identified on the general Maytag website as an authorized service repair.
    The best appliance repair situation I have ever had!

    My machine was leaking and I had replaced two parts but still had a small leak I could not locate.  They found the problem and made an adjustment on the spot to correct the problem.  He ran the machine through the cycles twice to make sure the leak was fixed.

    I called for my dryer to be repaired on a Friday morning - fully expecting that I would have to wait for a Monday appointment time. But the receptionist put me on hold to check the schedule and then told me a technician could by at my home around 3pm that same day. The technician arrived on time, was professional and friendly. He informed me of the price of the repair ($150) put told me that the part had to be special ordered. He had already ordered the part by phone from my laundry room and promised to return Tuesday to complete the installation. He asked what time would be convenient and I told him that I would only be around for a short window of time Tuesday afternoon and he said he would hard to make back within the window of time. He did arrive right on time performed the repair in less than 20 minutes and was on his way. I was able to pay by credit card over the phone the next day. I would highly recommend Apex Appliance to customers in NE Kent County, MI.
