Gas Fireplace Repair reviews in Rochester

Excellent. We hadn't used our fireplace since we bought our condo, 11 years ago...so I had no idea how it would go. Chris cleaned it up, checked everything out and it worked like a charm. He showed me everything about how it works, what to watch for. While he was here, he was careful not to get things dirty. He was pleasant. He cleaned everything up very well after he was done...he did a great job. I couldn't be happier.

It took a week to get on their schedule. Keith came out and cleaned out the fireplaces and did a good job on that part. We had a bad valve on one fireplace, which he replaced with a used valve, which assured me was OK. That night when running our fireplace we heard a high pitched whistle. I called him next day and he said he just needed to adjust the pilot light and could come out in two weeks to do the work More importantly, we smelled a slight gas smell the next day after he had worked on the basement fireplace. He claimed it was a bad valve and wasn't his fault. The way I look at it is that I hired him to get our fireplaces operational and he left one leaking gas. He is responsible for testing to make sure everything is working properly before he leaves. Once again, he said he couldn't come for two weeks. So I waited 2 weeks. A half hour after he was scheduled to arrive he called to say he couldn't come due to the weather and impassable roads. It was the day after we had the big storm in December. The next morning the roads were plowed and salted and fine to drive on. He said he could reschedule me another week later. When I pressed him to come sooner, he got mad and hung up on me. Beware of the unfprofessionalism of this contractor. Any one would leave a gas leak should not be trusted to do work at someone's house.

I am loving my fireplace now just in time for the cold weather.  It was not operational until Detroit City Sweep came in and cleaned and assembled my gas log pieces.  Now everything works perfectly.

Everything went extremely well, the team showed up and got right to work. After they developed an understanding on the as is situation they explained everything to me in extreme detail. The price was reasonable, and they team was very professional. I would recommend Dr. Flue to anyone with fireplace needs.

They went above and beyond. They were very responsive.  They did exactly what they said they would. They called ahead to let me know they were on the way. I appreciated it. They did very good work and I was happy with the service. They answered all of my questions. It was exactly what I was expecting and what I wanted. They were very careful to lay down drop cloths and really good about cleaning up after themselves. I had no finger prints on the fireplace or dirt left behind. They were concerned of the cleanliness of my home.

The service man who came to my house was Rob Gray.He was very friendly and professional. He arrived within the time that he called and told me he would. When I let him in he greeted me with a handshake and a nice smile. He looked over the fireplace that I wanted serviced and then brought in what he needed in the house. He covered a large area in front of my fireplace and then removed everything in the fireplace and took the basket and logs outside. He cleaned out the fireplace completely and then put down new rocks on the floor of the fireplace. He thoroughly cleaned all of the logs, basket and pilot light -which had given up problems last winter by going out . Those items were over 17 years old and our fireplace is used daily during winter months. The logs were completely black and I was actually worried everything would just disintegrate when Rob tried to clean them. When he was all done he asked me to take a look and make sure everything was ok. I could not believe that the logs actually looked like logs again and had been very nicely arranged in the basket. The inside of the fireplace looked neat and clean and the pilot had a good flame. After he removed all of his work items -you would never have known that such a dirty job had been performed!! I was very happy with Rob and my fireplace looks great!! I would definitely use this company again and would recommend them to others.

They did a good job and everything worked out fine. The only thing that I would say is that he didn't show me where to start the log but I was still happy with their services.
