Garage & Driveway reviews in Richland

Brian went "above and beyond" when he came to the job site to access my husband's progress. Alan had corrected a lean by pulling the garage straight, and wanted Brian's advice on how high the stabilizing horizontal beams should be placed. Brian told him to give him 8" 1" clearance and to place the beams every 24" for strength. Brian gave us additional good advice for the good of our garage, which we're putting into practice. Because the car door opening was still imperfect, Brian compensated the best he could to make it appear straight. His installation of both car and entry doors were quality workmanship. We're grateful for his service!

    Fawley overhead door
It went well. They scheduled the installation within a week from when I called. They described the new opener completely and accurately before I bought it. The installation was on schedule and done well. The technician even helped me program my car remote to work with the door.

Poured the cement on three different days. Left my yard a mess. After one year the driveway is falling apart with holes all over in it. I need to have it torn out and replaced. It looks bad. Weaver will not do anything about it.

My garage door spring broke over the weekend.  I called and left a message Sunday night, and got a return call at 8:15 on Monday morning.  They took some additional information, and told me they would call back in an hour to schedule the service.  Sure enough, around 9 am they called and said they would be at my house between 2 pm and 4 pm.  At 2:05 pm, the service guy showed up.  He was professional, knowledgeable, and worked quickly...He was done in about 30-35 minutes, and the repair was exactly as promised.  Use these guys!

    Rossman Construction
From July last year it didn't get completed until January of this year. The good part was that he always would follow up with my questions. There were no communication issues. Communication was always open. The negative side was, of course, timeline delays. I hear that happens quite often in the construction industry. I knew that during that time, supposedly, there was a labor shortage on those who could actually do construction. He sub-contracts some elements of the work. But, overall, he had been pretty forthright and willing to work with me. He did take off a couple of thousand dollars on the total estimate because of the delays. He didn't expect me to kind of just languish with the bill because of those delays. Overall, I was pretty pleased. There aren't a lot of people who own up to that sort of a thing these days. It's good that he was one of those people. He is a very likable personality. He does some work hands-on himself. He even lets clients assist at times and will take some labor cost off if the client is assisting with certain tasks. He was just here to do the very final step on the barn. There was this one element that was waiting on me to complete an aspect of it. I finished that and then he came in a week later and worked with me to install a chimney on it for a wood fired evaporator. He came in and we got it done within two days. It's operational now. I could have got it done for less. I know they had higher ratings and the quality of the work that was done is pretty good.

The door handles did not stay tight after 3-4 days.  All of the self-closing door in the kitchen area are worse than before (after a few days of use).  The front entry doors do lock better but we believe he broke off 1 or 2 screws inside.  Next time we have an issue I'm afraid it will be a problem.  They will have to be "tapped out" & the use of larger screws will be necessary.  The door between the lower garage & the basement level will no longer lock or latch.  More than once we have found it standing open & ended up trying to keep it closed with a 2x4 stuck under the door handle.  The toilet issue is back again.
He was pleasant during the visit but did not come prepared with the tools he needed.  ( The detail of the jobs was discussed by phone & email prior to the appointment.  )  He should have been more prepared.  When he left I did check out his work & told him I was satisfied, but after a few days things began to return to their prior problems or worse.  (the lower garage door that I could not keep closed)
We relocated to this area from California about 3+ years ago.  We had built a new home & after a few years of living in the house, there needed to be some wear & tear repairs.  We have had some repairmen that were found in the yellow pages & they did not live up to expectations so that is why we turned to Angies List.  This was our first experience of using a repairman from the List but unfortunately we have not been impressed.  Now I really don't know what to do.

    Morgans Concrete
Excellent small business firm. I found Eddie and his crew to be experienced and dependable. The concrete job at my house looks great and was professionally done at a reasonable price. We will contract with Eddie and his crew at Morgan Concrete againEdd

    Weaver Concrete
Not so good. Left the job incomplete. Did not finish the saw cuts or smooth out the turnaround or bring the top dirt as agreed upon. He wanted payment as he was finishing up so I paid him and went to work at 1;15 PM. He left that day and did not finish. Did not finish on time, will not come back after repeated calls. He was not careful with my yard. Driveway looks pretty good from the road but it needs finishing.

Price quoted was what was charged.  Because of the size and weight of the equipment we paid to have it delivered and picked up when the work was completed.  Delivery was made as promised, with instructions provided by person making delivery.  The equipment worked as expected, although we had difficulty figuring out how to turn the equipment off when we were finished.  The equipment was picked up as requested.  The driver did an excellent job maneuvering his truck and trailer so as not to damage our landscaping.
