Lakeside Painting & Plaster Repair LLC
Kitchen ceiling damaged by upstairs bathroom. Ceiling looked bad. Talked to Lisa who was very professional and kept me updated. They did an excellent job on the ceiling and painting. I would use them again.

    Speed Pro Painting Co
I have hired Speed Pro a few times to paint my rental properties, and every time they have been great to work with. There were shelves and nails to remove from the walls, and holes to patch. This house also had some dark colors which required three coats of paint in some areas. Everything turned out very nice.

I was put off for months without returning my calls, or showing up when he said. Eventually we had a date nailed down and he called after he should have been there to cancel. He rescheduled a few times and finally showed up. By this point my back was to a wall and my timeline up for my project. He said he could finish it, but at the end of the day said he had to come back the next. The next day he no call / no showed until I contacted him 2 hours after he should have been there. I ended up buying the equipment and pulling an all-nighter to paint everything myself.

    Mark of Elegance Painting LLC
The walls needed some extra care so it took more time. Mark of elegance did a great job and when they finished my walls were beautiful. They fixed and removed the imperfections in my walls first before painting. They worked steady and consistently to give me the job and look that I was looking for in my home. These professionals take pride in their work so as to give the customer satisfaction.

    JRB Renovations
My experience with Blaies Renovations was incredible.  My bathroom is more than I could have ever ask for.  Bob was upfront and there were no surprises.  Bob has an awesome team.  They are good at what they do. They delivered what they said they would in the time frame promised. They are pleasant, respectful, prompt, clean, and patient.  They were so gracious that they moved my furniture to protect it from the debris. Communication among the team and their client is good.  They gave their expert opinion when I needed it.  They answered all my questions.  If I didn't like or understand something, before they left they made sure that I was happy.  I look forward to doing business with them in the near future and I will definitely refer them to others.  Bob, Chris, Chris, Tim, Ray, Josh, Jeff, and Demetri,  Thank You!!!!  You all did an amazing job.

    Greg Buhr Construction

Greg push back the date several times before he began work.  There were days that I suspect he was doing other jobs because there was minimum work done. Came home early one day and no one was at my home working.  When demo began nothing was cover or plastic walls put up until I complained and start covering myself.  My television, furniture (sofa, chairs, tables) kitchen stove, microwave, pots and pans were covered with thick layers of dust.  He took my furniture from one bedroom (that I used as a den) covered with dust and haphazardly threw my furniture in the basement. My 2nd level Items were again haphazardly thrown in closets. Because of the dust and the haphazardly throwing of my furniture my cable, internet, and WiFi was out for 8 days and had to be replace with new modem and wiring.  Internet wiring in basement could not be repaired.  Thank God for WiFi.

He constantly told me that the project was costing more than he expected.  I asked again and again for him to give me an update which he didn't until I forced him to give me an update. Once up dated I was near my budget and I had them complete whatever was in process and not start anything else.

My neighbor complained about profanity and loud music.  When I told Greg did talk with his men and no more complaints.

On several occasion my windows was left open in which one was expose to the street which could have been broken into.  On one of the occasion I open the bathroom door and a bird had came into the house it took me almost 2 HOURS to get it out. I AM STILL IN AUGUST TRYING TO PUT MY HOUSE BACK IN ORDER

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE:  The work in my 2 bathrooms, kitchen, den, and floors was EXCELLENT.  Every thing looks great.  They remove all of the demo cleaned up the outside.

Because of all the problems it over shadow the outcome of the project.  Greg was the lowest bidder out of 5 contractors.  I guess you get what you pay for.

    Park Ave Assoc
They were professional, efficient, and in this case-very important for me- adaptable. I have used them since, and intend to use them again. We started the work at a time when my elderly mother had just come to live with me. A lot of the work had to be done around her and her and my schedules. I'm sure this was inconvenient for them at times, but we were able to work it out, and all I ever heard was a kind of upbeat, positive professionalism. I look forward to working with them again.

    Perry's Painting & Maintenance
As long as I am not painting I am happy, with that being said there were a few issue, missing spots, we removed floor molding hoping he would paint below the molding edge so when we nailed the molding back up it would look professional. Professionalism is doing at least 10% better job that the average consumer could do or does not think about. There were a few spots towards the floor where it would have been nice to had the wall repair before painting. Tony is a great guy and offers honest service with a fair price so my wife does not feel we should call him back to correct the issues.

    Elysium Painting Company
My house was in a need of a major face lift. In preparation for the approaching cold months, and inevitably spending more time in doors, we wanted to make sure that all of our major updates were finished before the cold Michigan weather came sweeping in to spoil the summer fun. So naturally it was decided that the time had come to remove the awful wallpaper in the den and master bathroom!
I met with four contractors, Elysium's bid was admittedly higher in price. However, based on their outstanding reputation and the detail and clarity that their estimator brought to the table we signed the contract.
All of the work was completed as promised and within the given time frame. There were no nasty surprises when the materials invoice came and the ghastly wallpaper is gone for good. Looking forward to spending time in my updated den this winter, thank you Elysium for doing a great job!
