    Contacted Co. and spoke to Marcel, the owner and explained the issue. He diagnosed the issue over the phone. After contacting 3 companies, he was available to come out right away. He came quickly and his diagnosis was spot on. There was ice buildup on the furnace coils and the air conditioner needed a little refrigerant. Unfortunately, nothing could be done until the ice thawed. Due to the holiday, he couldn't return until 2 days later. He returned that morning and completed the job and now everything is cool and breezy ����.. thanks Marcel!!

    I called 1st Heating and Cooling on a Wednesday mid afternoon to see if they could schedule a tech to come out to evaluate my a/c unit which wasn't working. By 5 o'clock Wednesday, I had a diagnosis and quote to get the job done....the next day! Very profession, punctual and reliable. I won't hesitate to call Ryan, Mike and the crew in the future with any issues I might have.

    Install went smoothly. Had to call back twice. Once for a tiny leak in water shut valve off to humidifier and 2nd time for water leaking under furnace. They came out quickly and resolved both completely.

    It was an amazing experience. They were very professional. They were on time. They were very clean. They cleaned up after themselves. They took their shoes off when they came inside unless they had booties on. They laid out blankets on my hardwood floor so they wouldn't scratch it walking through.

    We have used them for years. We have a maintenance contract with them. They come in the spring to make sure the air works, and they come in the winter for the heating. Fortunately, we have never had to have them for service. 

    I would definitely use them again. They are very reliable. We originally bought the furnace and the air conditioner from them. We rarely never have to have service on anything because we are on a maintenance program with them. They make sure it's all set to go. They are very good to deal with.

    Based on the good reviews for this company, I gave my daughter their name to call for service because she's having a problem with her heating. When she scheduled the appointment, the receptionist informed her that either the owner, Jack Templin, or their top technician, Winston, would come for a scheduled 5 p.m. appointment on Wednesday, January 11, 2017. The company was no call, no show to Dalby Street in Redford, MI.

    The air conditioning failed a few weeks later and we had the actual installer tell us that the system was several pounds of coolant low and that with no major leak the technician from Mastercraft should have recognized this and added the coolant. I spoke with Mastercraft and asked to be refunded but they were rude and on the verge of abusive.

    The administrative staff was great, however I was not impressed with the service I received. I paid for a diagnostic that could have quickly been resolved in less than 5 minutes. The information I received was not helpful and confusing. I feel like  I wasted $82.50 to be told my system was old and couldn't be fixed up. Also, I was not satisfied with the follow up. This is not a company I would recommend.
