  • Impossible to fully describe how incompetent and irresponsible they come across. One example: they can't even schedule work, though they are the authorized rep and are contracted and obligated to do work. They advertise in business since 1947, well they need to quit operating their business like they are in the backwoods and it is 1947.

  • The initial visit was great--the cleaners were professional, puctual, very thorough. I was home while they cleaned. Their service was expensive but I was pleased with the results. The second time I could not be there but based on the first visit I did not think it would be a problem. I was very disappointed to see how sloppy they were. When I voiced my concerns to the central office she was rude and was not concerned about coustomer service,. She also charged me the same amount as the initial visit, even though they came back in about a month and we had been away for most of that time. I do not trust this company and would never recommend them.

  • Stuckman provided services to our area after the severe storm that hit northern Michigan on August 2. Our experience with this company was very disturbing. The bill was twice the estimate given to us. The heavy equipment that was used was driven recklessly resulting in damage to surrounding trees and a structure. A piece of log being removed from one side of a damaged garage was dropped on an undamaged area resulting in additional damage. Neither was pointed out by the crew. Unreasonable charges, little regard for property and poor customer service. Beware. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone.

  • Our experience with Stuckman Tree Service was poor.  Rushing to clean up trees around our property
    after the August 2 storm in Michigan, the Stuckman crew scraped the bark of
    healthy trees and dumped tree trunks in areas we had asked them to avoid.  Despite promising us a computerized printout that
    broke out costs (for insurance purposes), Stuckman gave us nothing, even though
    we made repeated requests.  That is very unprofessional,
    given what company charged us.  We
    discovered from nearby neighbors that other tree service firms had charged much
    less (sometimes two-thirds less) for similar work.  We would not recommend this company to

  • Mechanic was out to diagnois the problem with my ASKO washer and figured out it was the water pump...washer died on 6/30, it is now 7/13 and it's still not fixed after two visits.

    Max's sales person recommended this brand of washer since I requested the best "reliability" and quickest service brand when I purchased. The parts are made in the US and get there quickly, but Max's doesn't schedule repairs for at least a week out. The new water pump was installed and now the front board (which holds the dial to select the wash cycle type) isn't working. Mechanic can't figure out what happened...I can wash...but I have no idea if I'm using all hot water, delicate cycle, extended wash for heavily soiled, etc.

    While I have not YET been charged for a washer that is still not working, the inconvenience is unacceptable.

    I'm done with this...never again.

  • Now again I called the office and they cant say what has happened or what I should expect. "must be some extenuating circumstances". I will not be rescheduling with this company. My whole day has been wasted waiting for this service call.

  • This company worked in conjunction with a kitchen design studio nearby so there were 2 teams on the job. They were very good about each other's schedules. However that sometimes created days when no one was here working and therefore made the job longer to completion. The wait was worth it. The work is so solid and done right including other things that were wrong when this house was built. They really know their stuff.

  • Estimator arrived roughly on time (roughly an hour after scheduled time). He appeared friendly and professional. Upon reviewing the job, he told me he was unprepared to measure terrain or distance, despite being provided enough information to know that he needed these tools.
    I received a call early the following week to tell me that they couldn't handle the job and recommended a company that could.

  • We had scheduled an install date of 9/16/2013. They claimed that they couldn't pick up the product so we ended having to pick it up ourselves. He showed up late on 9/16 to complete the install. He started the work and promptly took a lunch at 1hr 1/2 later 12pm. After lunch he took a number of breaks and said that he had to leave early. The next day he showed up at 2:30pm, took several more breaks and ended up leaving early at 6:00pm. We stressed to him how important it was to stay on schedule and this needed to be complete by the 18th. The builder came to inspect the job thus far and noticed that there was a large hump in the floor. We ended up having to tear out $650 dollars in flooring to fix the issue and pay the builder to install it. We said that we did not want the installer back. They finally agreed that they would not charge us for our builders cost of installing new flooring. All we wanted was our four boxed of flooring back that we had to pay for. Dan agreed to this and on Nov 7th, Dan called me and said that he was going to go and pick up extra wood for the job and claimed his credit would not go through. He said he was going to finish another job and be back the next day. I called the office the next day and the office lady Sara, Said that Dan has still not been able to pick up the extra wood flooring. On Nov 15th Sara told me that she would tell me when they picked up the wood and could deliver it. On Nov 22nd, I found out that they were liquidating the storefront that they had occupied. I am currently in the process of taking them to small claims court and I would not recommend this company to anyone.
