    Milwood Animal Clinic
Very well. They took very good care of my kitty and let me know right away what the diagnosis was and what to expect. Unfortunately he had a terminal illness, but they were incredibly kind and caring, and took great care of him. I would enthusiastically recommend them to other pet owners, they were kind, competent, and professional.

    Creature Comfort Veterinary Housecall Services
She is very kind and caring. It turns out we had to have our precious dog put to sleep. Since our dog was a big one and could no longer get in the car and we couldn't lift him this service was very much appreciated. It helped a painful experience be less so since our dog was able to stay at home in comfortable surroundings.

They were willing to see him right away. They fixed him up in about an hour and provided clear direction for how we should care for him during recovery. Luckily he didn't have damage to muscle tissue or internal organs, just pretty bad tear in his skin. I'm not sure if it was just luck that someone was available to help him, but overall I was very impressed and the cost was reasonable given the emergency nature of our visit

    K L CAT HOSPITAL
My cat is a one-person type of animal that has much distress at the vet. I have come to trust this practice with his care. We have gone to several vet offices over the years that care for cats and dogs. I have much greater peace of mind with the knowledge and professionalism of everyone who looks after felines only at this office.

    Friendship Animal Hospital
My dog was terrible but the dr & staff were wonderful.  They spent a long time just trying to make him feel comfortable before they even began the exam.  Everyone there is caring, kind, thoughtful, and professional.  I highly recommend them!

The surgery went great. We followed Dr. Greathouse from his former practice to this one which he and his wife (Dr. Bartlett) opened together. They are both so kind, compassionate, competent, and patient (especially with our particularly troublesome cat). In our experience, Dr. Greathouse is not prone to radical treatment plans so when, after repeat infections, he recommended this surgery, we trusted his judgement. He did a great job and our dog has had no issues The staff is cheerful, enthusiastic, and helpful. It is always a pleasure to see them when we have appointments. The new building and location is also great.

We had a friend that worked for them a long time, and she recommended them to us years ago. We think the vets are a big part in keeping our pets healthy. They're very responsive and professional, so we keep returning.

    Portage Animal Hospital
Our poodle (a rescue) had knee surgery in April of 2013 by another Vet and the surgery failed. The dog was dragging the leg. So we took her to Portage Animal Hospital for a second opinion.
Dr. Chapman recommended we have the and quot;hardwareand quot; used in the first surgery removed. It appeared there had been nerve damage. Dr. Chapman also explained worse case, if she continued to drag the foot we could expect the open sores on her foot to get worse, we needed to watch for infection. And if they could not successfully treat the infection, we may need to have her foot removed. Anyway you look at it was not good. The poor little dog was a rescue and had been through so much already.
A week later we dropped off the poodle for the and quot;outpatientand quot; procedure of removing the hardware. We picked her up that evening and noticed she did not seem upset or overly sleepy as she had when we picked her up from the first surgery.
Within a week she was starting to walk more normally, and I noticed several times her foot was in the correct position. The sore on her foot has healed. The hair is growing back, she is running and playing with the other dogs.
Portage Animal Hospital now takes care of all of our pets! I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Chapman and ALL the staff at Portage Animal Hospital!!!

I have used Dr. Andy Helmholdt off and on for 22 years. He is absolutely the most knowledgeable vet I have had the pleasure of dealing with over the years. If he doesn't know, he will find the answer. He has not only helped to keep my four leggeds strong and healthy but has performed life saving surgery on several of my dogs over the years. One example: I had a dog that shattered the bones in her front paw. One other vet and MSU wanted to amputate. Dr. Andy took the time to research the options by calling vets who specialized in greyhounds, who are prone to this injury. We agreed to give it a try to save her foot/leg and after many hours of surgery, and the removal of over 200 bone chips, the foot/leg was saved and our girl went on to run free and strong for many years!! I just can not say enough good things about this man. The office prices for general care are a little high compared to other offices but in a life saving situation the cost should never be an issue and I have always gone to him in those cases.

They were always excellent. I will not be going there any longer. I have cats and they do well with all animals particularly dogs so now that my cats are older they go to the cat hospital instead. I have never had any problems with them in the past. My experience with them was always good. They were professional. It is a nice facility.
