"I had been in the store the week before and had briefly talked to . She had explained to me that my new prescription and the glasses I was" currently wearing were not even close. OK, since I was having an exam in January, I was trying to limp along until then [ dumb, I know]. Anyway, I was mentioning this to my husband who reminded me about his HSA! Alleluia! So, I returned yesterday, clutching cards and looking for !! She not only got me all set up, BUT, found me deals, we used the frames from the sunglasses I had bought from them before, was honest about how frames looked on me [I really appreciated that!] and the whole thing took less than an hour, which was VERY good as I'm not all that patient! This is a really great place to do business; as SOON as you walk in, someone is there to help you OR will find someone who can. I've never seen a crabby face, much less, attitude there, either. The store is clean and always looks good, too. OK, for me, this is high praise: I would say this is the of optical places!!!!!

"My wife and I began seeing the four years ago. Throughout these years we have been very pleased with Dr. and his" staff for both their professional care and their timeliness. In addition, the offers patients the ability to purchase eye wear in the office. We see this as a convenience. Both of us highly recommend Dr. .

floaters are bits of matter that float in the vitreous (jelly-fluid) center of the eyeball.  Short of contraversial surgery, nothing can be done about them.  They are harmless but can be extraordinarly annoying;  anyone bothered by them should get checked by their optomologist, however, to make sure the floaters are not a symptom of a more serious retina problem however.  There are online websites and online info. about floaters also...

Absolutely you have rights to your own medical records. You may have to put it in writing and go through the offices records department. Call and ask to speak with the records department and ask their protocol.

Eyeglass Repair reviews in Portage

I've been seeing Dr. since 2009 when I was referred to him as a glaucoma suspect (thankfully I am no longer a suspect). Dr. solved my dry eye problem by implanting punctal plugs which has allowed me to return to wearing contacts. My husband now sees Dr. as well. He is always ...More on-time for appointments and never leaves you waiting for more than a few minutes. He is very personable and very educated. He takes the time to listen to you and does an excellent job of addressing any concerns/issues. His staff is extremely helpful and very friendly, and the offices are very nice. There is an optician located in Dr. 's office. is very helpful and quite reasonable. He worked patiently with my husband until they had found the reading glasses that worked best for his needs.

I am the kind of person that can feel a lot of anxiety when going to any kind of doctor, but I always feel comfortable at Dr. 's office. The staff is friendly & helpful as well. I feel that I receive quality care at . An added bonus is that they have awesome eye glass frames to choose from when ...More it's time for a new prescription.
- Marcia S.

The appointments all went really well. I needed a slightly stronger set of lenses and she also noticed that I had a slight eye infection due to allergies and gave me an eye drop that I'll need to take long term with no side effects. When I returned in January she wanted to see if the drops were doing their job, and they were. She was very friendly, ...More and though I'm not a fan of people touching and flipping my eyelids, she was very gentle. I would highly recommend her to anyone with eye issues.
- Caitlin C.

We visit them every year. They are a little expensive but we have had very good service. They are pretty good and know what they are doing. They are a little busy but my overall experience with them has been good.
- Daniel C.

The appointment was fast and efficient. I came in got checked in and waited a few minutes for the doctor. He checked my eyes and gave me a prescription for contacts and glasses. Bought the contacts there...they also sell glasses. Was real good service.
- Corandina R.

The vision exam went very well. The equipment was clean and very new. However at the time of getting the glasses, the lens on one side had huge cracks in it. These were large cracks coming almost half way across the lens. These were a pair of corrective lenses. They wanted us to return when they have it corrected but we opted ...More to purchase the frames. We took the frames to Costco with the prescription and ordered lenses with the same features. Just the lenses were $275.00 at Dr. 's Family Eyecare, but they were only $97.98 in Costco, (including the fee we paid for bringing our own frame).

So if you do not have vision insurance, it may pay to shop around. Also since we did not have vision insurance the lenses were cut in their own lab onsite.

I found the in Columbia after looking at all the big name places in town for the past 3 months. I was impressed when I walked in and found all the displays neat, orderly, and clean. I was greeted by who was willing to help me look and willing to give me space to spend time seeing what they had available. ...More She asked me what I was hoping to find and I gave her a list of demands (as I expect my eyewear to do unreasonable things :)
Within a few minutes, we found several pairs of stylish frames that I hadn't seen elsewhere. Same designer names as other places but a lot of choices from edgy and trendy to classic and mature. Within 10 minutes, I had 4 frames that I really liked and told that I'd like to come back after dinner with my husband for a second opinion. She said she would let know that I would be back.
True to her word, when we came back after 5pm, was there, with some of the frames already setup for me to retry. I pulled a few more and we narrowed down the decision to 2 frames. was helpful with her feedback as well.
When she rang up the lenses and frames, we walked through each price and what was discounted based on my insurance. I had a lot of questions and she was great to go back and explain further what the charges were for and all the options available.
This was the best experience that I've had in a long time at an optical shop. I'm really glad I found their store and will gladly go back not only for myself but for my son and husband when they need new glasses.
- Jeanne T.

iHoward's made me some new glasses, but when they were done, there was a distortion in the lens. 's said, "How can we make this right? What can we do for you?" They called their other offices and had frames sent over in the colors I wanted. They made every effort to correct the problem, including selling ...More me new frames and lens. The entire staff was very helpful, very professional, courteous, and prices were reasonable. They actually know how to fit frames, unlike some doctor's offices who sell frames. I would shop there again.
