FHearing LifeOn May 18, 2017 I paid MSRP of $6600 less $430.75 (insurance estimate) for hearing aids. Unknown to me at the time, that price was $1169.25 over the agreed upon charge with my insurance carrier. I was handed a page to sign that the patient care coordinator, Brandy Vance pointed out the line stating I would be responsible for any charges insurance didn't cover. However, down towards the bottom of the page was a contradictory statement that regardless of insurance coverage I was responsible for the full price. In the rush to get it done and trusting that what was told to me, I signed. This was the only page I signed I was not given a copy of. Had I gotten a copy and read it in full I would have immediately cancelled the order. Hearing Life has been contacted multiple times about a refund due. They are hanging their hat on the fact I missed that line and refusing a full refund. Apparently they can't keep the portion of the payment that came from my HRA, $2069.25 and have agreed to refund that amount. Even that was mishandled as Brandy charged me $2069 rather than refunding. Now I am waiting for the charge to be removed and the credit to be applied. Its over 3 weeks and I still have not seen the refund. This entire situation may be easier for me to swallow if the hearing aids worked worth a darn. I have returned on 3 separate occasions to have them readjusted with no results. I can't even wear them. Everything sounds as if I am listening through a paper towel tube. Hollow and garbled. I am extremely dissatisfied with both the service and product that Hearing Life has offered.- Jerri T.

FHeidi Griggs DOPoorly. Dr Griggs treated me like I was a drug addict. Somewhere along the line, her nurse (Sharon) got it in her mind that I was a drug abuser and has treated me like one contrary to the evidence. In 62 years, I have never been treated so horribly. I am changing doctors and will never have anything to do with Dr. Griggs or her office. Prescription renewal through their "one line for renews" is close to negligent in how it handles prescription. Lost or incorrect are two issues, It takes days to get a prescription. Her staff is less than honest with her and she always believes them before a patient. If you have a choice, this is one facility to stay away from.- Ed K.

FProMed Family Practicefor the past two years I have suffered severe lower back pain along with my severe neck pain, an MRI was done on the entire spine and they found nothing causing my lower back pain, but I do have 3 severe herniated discs in the neck, but I come from a long line of Rheumatoid Arthritis sufferers. and I explained that to the ProMed Physician that there is a long history in my family of Rheumatoid Arthritis, but he refused to believe it might be Rheumatoid Arthritis. He has been treating me for the 3 herniated discs since 2000 with pain meds but at my last visit he refused to prescribe for me the same prescription that I have been using. He treated me like a drug addict. I was asked if I ever used Morphine, or Percocet, in which I told him NO and that he has my chart for the past 16 years, I have only taken what he prescribes. In the same breath he told me he will stop prescribing pain meds for me starting right then... and lower my Rx down. I was scheduled to have surgery in the next few months even though the neurosurgeon said it would not take away the pain but it will help with the constant numbness in my arms in which It really doesnt bother me, but the pain in the neck is so sever that I cannot do most normal things around the house or with my grandchildren.. The physician whom I've seen for over 16 years now told me to my face, that he is more concerned with the new laws that the DEA has put out. He wasnt concerned for my pain management whatsoever. He wanted to refer me to the pain clinic which will only do injections and I heard nothing but bad reviews about the pain clinic so I refuse to go to them. My DR told me 10 years ago I will be a chronic pain sufferer the rest of my life with my condition but now he refuses to treat me for such, and since the new DEA laws about pain meds has come he will not treat me. I asked him to find out what is going on with my back and he refuses to look into that also, I am anticipating that it is Arthritis but he wont look into that either. I wont recommend ProMed to ANYONE!!!!!! I am now going with a Bronson Physician who will look into Rheumatoid Arthritis and manage my neck pain with no problem. it's a shame I had to leave a Dr whom I trusted for years.- sherry s.

ABronson Internal Medicine AssocThat was one of the important criteria for choosing her. She's an excellent communicator. She's good at referring me to other staff when necessary. She always helps me in maintaining my health. I would use her practice again in the future.

FBronson Internal MedicineI was extremely unhappy. I had to leave because they refused to give me a referral for a chiropractor. I tried talking to everybody in the office. My husband still sees his doctor there but I had to move because of that. I wanted a referral because I have back and neck pain. Previously, I had Dr. Warner and she was wonderful. She would always give me a referral right away and not even hesitate. She went somewhere else and the new doctor took over Dr. Warner's patients. I went in with back and neck pain and asked for a referral. She's a DO and I tried talking to her. I tried everything I could to get her to give me a referral but she would not do it. She wanted me to go to another place that was like a DO also. She thought chiropractors were a danger.- Robin S.

AKalamazoo GastroenterologyAppointment was scheduled by referring physician. This site provided the location and support services for the procedure that was carried out by Dr Thomas Gushusrt. The site contacted me prior to the procedure with relevant information on what to expect. Arrived 10 minutes prior to the appointment time to complete any remaining paperwork. Was ushered into the prep area within 15 minutes of the appointment time (early morning appointment). Met with the anesthesiologist who asksed relevant health questions and described the process. Met with the physician, Dr Gushurst, and was wheeled into the evaluation suite. Procdure was done under general anesthesia. Woke up in the recovery area, talked to the nurses and Dr. Gushurst and was informed of the results. The facilities were modern and very clean. All the stall were helpful and friendly. The procedure took 90-120 minutes overall.

BPlastic Surgery Of Kalamazoo PCAt the consultation an examination was made and the procedure explained. On the day of the procedure everything went smoothly. All appropriate explanations were made and everything was done in a professional manner. We are please with the result. Minimal scarring. Appropriate lab tests were done.

AProMed Family PracticeThey are excellent. I have been with them for close to 25 years, and I have had the same doctor the whole time. They have their own lab and x-ray, and can take care of pretty much everything except major surgery.- gerard r.

ABronson Methodist HospitalI have nothing bad to say. Nothing. The nurses were top-notch, not patronizing, nor were the doctors. Blood tests, brain tests, heart test, all done with professionalism and care.
I know this is not in the survey above, but the FOOD!! As good and healthy and fresh as any mid-to-high range restaurant. Absolutely delicious. I could have coffee whenever I wanted, just great!

AJoseph Roth MD,DOHe is just an amazing doctor. He works from young all the way up to geriatrics. He is an incredible doctor, he is very good. The think that I liked is that you weren't a number. You aren't treated like a number you are treated like a person. He would look you right in the eye and have a conversation with you. He is very knowledgeable. He would say, it's your body, tell me what you are thinking what you are feeling. He doesn't treat you like you were nuts or anything like that. He is just very personable, very knowledgeable. If you ask his opinion on something, he would tell you, you can do this or you can try this, this is what I recommend but this is another option for you. So, he was just very, kind of like an encyclopedia but with a human compassion.
I thought the staff was really good. As far as being able to get in and get an appointment, they really worked with you as far as being able to get right in. They are very friendly.
I just remember my experience when I was a kid and then just going back through the years as to how, I guess it was neat for me to see how he interacted with my mom so through this whole range through our family life and still just a very compassionate, very interested doctor. It is his mission in life to be there for his patients.- Neil B.
