BDJ's professional tree serviceInitially everything was great. Prompt & area was cleaned up. However, when they ground my stump they cut my sprinkler system line & will not cover the repair. So - stating they are fully insured, evidently, does not mean liability insurance. Per the owner the "fully bonded & insured" covers workmans comp & personal injury.- Elizabeth S.

ADixon Lawn CarePurchased a home and the gutter drainage pipe in the yard was overgrown plugged up and very difficult to locate. This is an issue because rain water will collect around the foundation of the house if the drain is not located and unplugged. Dixon lawn care were rockstars and the work they did exceeded my expectations.- Bernard P.

APrecision Tree CareIt went fantastic. The crew is awesome. Our small yard has a lot of trees and they took down two to make way for privacy fence. Hardly a leaf out of place afterward. Very professional, and focused on safety and doing the job with the least amount of disruption to yard and surroundings. Clean up was impeccable, barely know they were here. I highly recommend this company for superior work, price, and cleanup!- Peggy A.

AProfessional Horticulture ServicesHe was very responsive and open to any changes. Gave me a few ideas and kept the lines of communication open. The work was done quickly and efficiently without dragging anything out and with no other property damaged in the process. It's been a year and he even came over to check how the patio was holding up.- Timothy E.

APrecision Tree CareShane came to give a free estimate, described what and how the job would be done. His crew was amazing. They made taking down 100 ft locust tree look so easy. It was obvious they have worked together for a long time. Each person knew what to do and worked together very well. They were skilled, efficient and professional. They finished the job, did an excellent job cleaning up. I was very pleased. Before collecting payment, Shane came to make sure I was completely satisfied with their work. And the coupon offered was appreciated, too.- Marilyn R.

ADixon Lawn CareHe's okay. You gotta watch the guys. He is really okay. The owner is great but his workers you have to watch them that they don't take out certain flower beds or thing like that. One of the workers had a tinkle tan in the backyard while I was watching him. I called his employer immediately and they took care of it immediately. He was a jerk period. I'm disabled, I was minding my business in the living room and I happened to look out many times when he was trying to look in while I was trying to get dressed. He was not a nice kid. He's gotten rid of the kid so I would recommend them. Any kind of trouble, you can go to him immediately and he will resolve the problem and not argue with you about it. Usually, we have them come every two weeks. Every week in the summer when it's raining and every two weeks in the fall for leaf and lawn pickup. They put down fertilizer four times a year at $50 a pop. They will if you ask them to do leaves and that kind of stuff. That gets a little pricey but if you got a place like ours with about a dozen oak trees, you're going to have to pay to get it done. They also do snow in the winter. You can do that per season if you want or by each time, either way. I think their price is fair. I don't really have a problem with their lawn mowing price. Their snow ploughing price if you buy it by the season then you're taking the gamble of how many times it needs to be ploughed but I think that by buying it by the season, their price is very fair. They're very careful. They haven't mowed down a single plant in all the time we've had them. They are here 8:30 Monday morning. We sleep in because we are both retired. We've been using them for 2 years and we are very happy with them.- Don D.

ADixon Lawn CareThe quality of work was great, the end product looks so much better than I expected. The men were courteous and professional and very hard working. The cost for the amount of work done was very reasonable. We had three rock bed/gardens over grown with weeds that were cleaned, new weed barrier placed and the rock redone. Two flower beds running the length of the backyard and side of the house had overgrown and been covered in pine needles from a (now removed) dead tree; they weeded, trimmed trees, removed the debris and river rock and planted grass. There were several other areas around the house where they weeded and cleaned up lawn debris. They edged the sidewalk and driveway. All told the work took five days. The only drawback was that it took an extra weeks to start the work than originally planned, but it was spring and very rainy. That being said, this was also the only company to actually return my phone calls and come provide me with an estimate. I plan to hire them again for a few additional clean projects that I didn't realize I needed done until the rest of the yard was done.- Amy K.

AGrapids IrrigationAfter reading my first review, the owner of GRapids called me personally the following day. He was immediately apologetic for the negative experience I had had the day before, and assured me that he agreed that this is not an acceptable level of customer service. I was very pleasantly surprised at the professional tone and commentary that he used, and I would say that he did everything in his power to rectify the situation. Well done.- Chris N.

DGrapids IrrigationNot well. After I explained the situation to the Technician, he began working on the in-ground valve. He tried several tools to loosen and remove the valve cap, but said that he wasn't able to, and would therefore have to "dig the whole thing up". When he saw my surprised reaction, he asked "why don't you try it"? I did, and I was able to remove the valve cap with one hand in about five seconds. Surprised and a little embarrassed, he returned to work. After a while he told me that he was confident that the valve was the cause of the problems that I was seeing, and asked if I wanted to replace it. I asked what the estimated cost would be and he said about $220. I was again surprised, and he said that I could probably go buy one myself at Menard's and save some money. Looking on the Menard's website to verify, they did not have the exact valve that I needed, but did have similar one's for about $20. In other words, GRapids charged me a 1000% mark up on the valve itself, plus $70 for the service visit. The Technician insisted that a similar part would not work without a much larger overhaul of the system, and that it would better if he just "went ahead and replaced it". I finally agreed since I didn't see a way to get the exact valve I needed. After he installed the valve, he went to the control box to test all the sprinkler zones. He asked if the timer had been working, and I said that it had also been working intermittently. After pushing all the buttons in what definitely appeared to be random combinations, he told me that it "wasn't working". When I asked what was causing the unit to work intermittently, he replied quote; "I don't know, it's old as ****". (for reference, my house is only 16 years old, so the sprinkler system and control box are that age or newer). When I asked what could be done to fix the control unit instead of replacing it, he replied quote; "I don't know, I'm not a magician". Needless to say, at this point the lack of knowledge and unprofessional demeanor was becoming frustrating. Left with no other real options (other than to ask him to leave) I told him to go ahead and replace the "old as ****" control unit with a new one, which he told me would cost over $270, despite being "the cheapest one". It took about an hour for him to finish installing the valve and the control unit, and replace on sprinkler head. He told me the total was going to be $600. Again seeing surprise on my face, he explained "yeah, we're pretty expensive", but said that it was worth it because although the competition was more affordable, they "didn't know what they're doing". Unfortunately I no longer agree that GRapids services are "worth it", and will be changing service providers in the future for all my sprinkler related services.- Chris N.
