    Lifetime Home Products
Working with the Lifetime crew, especially the owner Trace, was an absolute pleasure. They were very customer focused during the entire process of bidding, finalizing and completing our deck remodel project. Lifetime was also one of the lowest bids on cost, using the same high-quality materials proposed by other contractors. The work was very high quality, done in a very professional manner, and completed ahead of schedule. We would highly recommend Lifetime for anyone considering a new or remodeled deck.

    Pennings and Sons
It was a nightmare. Everything looked to be going well, until they left. They charged us for all kinds of things that they never did. When I refused to pay they settled with me and forced me to sign a disclosure agreement. Biggest mistake that I made, because I had no idea how many corners they cut along the way. Now I'm having to hire other contractors to come finish the work that Pennings and Sons was under contract to provide. We gave Pennings and Sons over 300,000 dollars, our life savings to turn our home into a dream home and all they did is turn it into a home of nightmares. Beware, find someone else. I've heard sever stories of them doing this to a lot of they're customers but they only get the review info to the few happy ones. Stay away.

    House To Home Solutions
Went extremely well. Designed deck, secured permits, demolished old deck, built new deck, handled three inspections required by city.
Employees on work site were very professional, continually in contact with me when there were questions, punctual throughout entire project, price was competitive and work site cleaned up at the end of each day. Company owner was always available by phone or email or text.
House To Home Solutions has completed numerous projects in excess of 50,000.00. The contracted property was an investment property located in Washington, DC some 700 miles from my residence in MI. Daniel, the company owner made many recommendations regarding the remodeling project and even selected product and fixtures for me. Daniel is a hands on owner and a true professional that cares about his customers and employees.
I would highly recommend this company and not hesitate to contract with them again for any home improvement project.

    Eitel's Building & Design LLC
The finished product was great! They did a great job on the deck and we couldn't be happier! The original deck flooring and railings were removed and replaced. We have a walkout with a 2nd story deck and they added a stairway to the back yard. The work was well done.

It couldn't have gone better. The team showed up on time, were VERY hard, professional, polite workers. I offered them to use our bathroom, but they didn't.  I offered to provide lunch for the team, but they declined. They were very grateful for the water bottles we provided. Each night when they left, they cleaned up completely! There was always someone available to speak English with. My husband asked questions along the way and they very patiently answered.

    Molnar Construction
Molnar Construction completed a very extensive project that
we envisioned in December 2013. Coming from musical families, we had hoped to
add a music room addition, off the back of our home and living room, in place
of our then existing deck. However, we live in an area where the water table is
relatively high, so we weren?t even sure such a project was possible. In
addition to that, we wanted the new room well insulated, and also add a new
deck with steps to a new concrete patio underneath. This meant building the
room on stilts. We also wanted to re-purpose our huge picture window into the new
room, not only to save cost but also to capture our beautiful view of woods and
We figured the demolition alone for such a project could be
challenging, because our home is in close proximity to a nature preserve.
Because of that, care needed to be taken for ecological reasons, as well. After
interviewing several contractors?we realized not everyone shared our vision.
We met with Dan in March 2014 to discuss our goals and
consider options. Our first meeting confirmed all the positive feedback we read
about Molnar Construction on Angie?s list. From the get-go, Dan was personable,
knowledgeable, considerate, and willing to work with our ideas. Although we had
acquired three estimates, we felt Dan?s was the most detailed, and fair,
considering the proposed undertaking. (Note: our final cost exceeded the
original estimate, due primarily to the addition of a new roof, skylight,
downspouts, gutter covers, and some extra electrical and carpentry work.)
Dan and his crew were amazing!!! The care, positive
attitudes, and professionalism they all brought to work each day were high
caliber. Every evening, the job site was cleaned up to perfection! We were
especially impressed when one of Dan?s employees used a metal detector to
remove nails in the grass, after the roofing work was completed. With two dogs,
that was an important detail for us. The concrete work on the patio surpassed
our expectations ? LOVE all the curves! And re-grading/seeding the yard will be
    appreciated again next spring.
Our project took approximately 8 weeks to complete and was
the most enjoyable project we?ve ever undertaken. Molnar Construction has literally
made our dreams come true! Easy to work with, their hard work and
dedication-to-detail will impact our lives for many years to come.
We?d like to personally thank Dan- you undoubtedly have a
bright future, based on your personal integrity, up-beat attitude, and knowledge
of the industry, as well as your many construction talents. We appreciate that
you choose like-minded individuals to make up your team.
A big shout out of thanks to Eric ? we like to think of you as co-pilot to Dan. You are one
talented carpenter! Thank you for helping make our home so beautiful. Thank you
also to Brandon, of Gilroy Painting. You and Nate did an amazing job in the
music room, and completing the walls in the main house (the French doors are
beautiful, beyond words). And the use of the eco-friendly filter when sanding
was greatly appreciated. Thanks to Don who did the drywall, and also using
eco-friendly products. Thanks to Tom, and his crew, who put in the carpet. Job
well-done and appreciated each day as we enjoy the cushy feeling underfoot.
Once again, thanks, Dan, to you and your crew. We look
forward to working on future projects with you all again. BRAVO!

    Kalamazoo Handymen Services
Everything went great!  I had a long list of items that I had not been getting done.  Mark came in and not only fixed everything I needed, but he also gave me suggestion on how best to take care of some of the items I wasn't sure how to handle.  He cleaned everything up after the repair work and even made extra trips back to my house to put back deck furniture so I wouldn't have to do it.  He came when he said he would come and finished everything very quickly.  I would hire him again the next time I have work to do on my house.

    Montell Construction
Randy, Jeff and their entire crew were super professional and punctual. Their work is outstanding! I am a firm believer in that you get what you pay for. You want cheap, you get cheap. You want outstanding work, you call Montell Construction! My husband and I are so in love with our new deck and pergola. Thanks again!!!!

    Student Painters
They came out promptly for an estimate, and the young man who did the estimate seemed professional. The estimate was done in the middle of April and the first available date was in the middle of May. No big deal - weather was not good, and I'm sure they don't have much of a work force until college is out. We paid the required deposit. 1-2 days before the scheduled date, someone from the company called and said they would need to reschedule as they were way behind due to the cold and rainy weather. Again, reasonable enough. The day that they rescheduled for, nobody showed up. When we called the number of the guy who did the estimate, he said he was no longer with the company, but gave us the number of another person. When we called this person, they claimed that they did not have us on the schedule and there was no way they would be able to get the work done. We eventually got referred to a local manager, who came out a couple of hours later and wanted to redo the estimate. He said that he personally would come out over Memorial day weekend and do the work.
The manager did come out, but I'm not impressed with the quality of the work. The soffit looks okay, but it doesn't look like they bothered to scrape the windows at all prior to painting over them, they didn't bother to paint the bottoms of the windows, and the paint job is less than impressive (not even, paint on the windows). The original estimator had promised that they would lay out drop clothes prior to scraping/painting, which was a big deal for us, because I didn't want paint scrapings/drips all over the place, particularly on our deck. It doesn't appear that they did this.
I give the local manager credit for coming out promptly and doing the work himself on a holiday, but not impressed with the fact that he had to do that and also not impressed with the quality of the work. We could have done it ourselves for a fraction of the cost, but thought it would be worth it to hire "professionals" and have it "done right". I'm pretty sure we could have done a better job.
