    Canton Construction Corp
They were very good. It was when we had a windstorm and they came quickly. They were very honest. They were the only ones who would come out for a small job because there so much damage in other places that was worth more. They admitted that they were charging more than they normally would because of the situation where there was so much damage around. There was so much demand for service, but it was still reasonable. My insurance company gave me an estimate later and it was entirely in line with what they charged. I would use them again.

I could go on and on on the type of quality we got, how easy Cameron and his crew are to work with, and how much more we got for our money. We solicited three other companies to bid our project and they couldn't touch Cameron on what he gave us for our money. He made our garage match our house from the custom paint job and the peak over the entry door to using the same siding. Our garage doesn't look like an after thought. I could write a book on our positive experience with JCJ Contracting. This I will say, Cameron is honest, has integrity, is a perfectionist, and he responds to any issues or concerns immediately. A big plus.... Cameron is more concerned with your satisfaction than your money (believe it or not) and actually stopped me from some things I wanted done that he felt was not cost effective or the right thing for us. I have found if Cameron isn't very flexible on something, that it is something I should not be doing! He is good at hand holding and giving honest feedback on ideas. My husband and I are so pleased with the service he provided, that we are having him do a kitchen and house remodel this year without getting bids from any other contractors. Cameron is competitively priced, does such a good job and is so easy to work with that my good family friend used him and now their kids are using him too. (Thanks, Cameron for a job well done.)

I could not recommend this team more highly.  In addition to extreme professionalism, reliability and attention to detail,  technical skill is very impressive.  And Doug Fox has been scrupulous in working with me in advance to outline expectations, cost estimates, materials choices, etc. as well as post-job in documenting time & materials for invoicing.  He maintains a very tidy work area and clean-up is meticulous.

The greenhouse required both art and science -- I presented them with a garageful of assorted old wooden windows, shutters, glass block and miscellaneous materials, and a vague sketch of the "shabby chic" flower-starting garden building I  had in mind.  Doug did a great deal of online research about similar "upcycling" projects and showed me  his findings.  Then the duo organized the materials, mulled design possibilities and tested options, keeping my general size parameters in mind.  Best of all, they were engaged and interested in the job and seemed to enjoy the challenge.  (They also were very kind and tolerant of my pesty little Chihuahuas when the dogs took a break in the yard.)

To my  absolute astonishment and delight, they turned that oddball collection of old materials into a generous-sized, symmetrical, beautiful "vintage-look" greenhouse that is the envy of all who see it.  he basic frame of 4x4s was perfectly placed and braced with extra wood while the cement cured.  Many of the windows and shutters they designed in to be active to allow for ventilation.  Doug and Nate also figured out how to incorporate some old glass block that had sentimental value to me, and they replaced some deteriorated window glass and sealed the rest, so the old windows didn't detract from the functionality of the greenhouse.  They  found an antique door in my garage rafters, cut it down to size, inset it with a spare casement window and it made the perfect entryway for the greenhouse.  They came up with a roofing solution that utilized some old storm windows and withstood this bitter, snowy winter weather with nary a leak, crack or sag.  When I decided to line part of the inside rear roof with tin ceiling tiles, they figured out how to do so without compromising the interior design.  I entered the greenhouse today and it's warm and dry.

If you have a job that requires creativity, enthusiasm  and initiative in additional to technical skill, this is the team you want!   I look forward to having Doug do more carpentry, remodeling and painting at my home in the coming months and years.

Cameron is OUTSTANDING.  Honest, caring, considerate, on time, keeps customer updated if delays (and there were very very few).  Fantastic crew, VERY DETAIL based crew.  No shortcuts, INCREDIBLE JOB.  No concerns or worries with this crew.  JCJ CONTRACTING/CAMERON is first rate.  The best of the best.  His staff, attention to details and quality of work sets the benchmark that all other contractors are measured against.
    The best there is.

Devon Reed, the owner, was wonderful. He came to the house to assess the situation and discuss our options and helped us decide on the best structure for us. He was excellent about responding to phone calls. He was also here when he said he would be here. It took him about an hour to tear down and remove the old structure. He cleaned up the area very nicely. The next day, he came and put up the new structure in about 3-4 hours. It would have been quicker had it not been raining. There was one glitch when he was building and it was due to a neighbor who likes to call ordinance officers for everything. The township does not normally need permits for this type of outbuilding but because I have an unusual yard, there was some issue with it. Anyway, he had to stop construction for the day and get some layout paperwork together for the building department and he had that sent to me ASAP that evening so I could run it up there in the morning. Once they had the paperwork, the building department said that the building had to be 10 feet away from the house and 5 feet away from the fence. I called Devon and he set up a date a few days later to come and move the shed a few inches and finish the job. Well, today he came out and moved the shed to the correct place and when he was here, I mentioned that I hated the lattice fencing that was around our patio and wanted to have it removed. He very kindly took care of that for me! There was also a low voltage wire that was running under ground into the yard. (I think there used to be a pond out there and they left the wiring underground) He helped us cap it up near the house in case we ever hit it when digging in the yard so it will be a dead wire and won't harm us.
What I find most amazing is that he was very honest and trustworthy. We paid half of the money when we requested the job and we paid the other half when the shed was built but the building hadn't been moved yet. I know there are some companies that would have taken advantage of that and dragged their feet about coming back out since there was no more money to be collected but not Devon. He was out here and had everything fixed before the week was out. I highly recommend American Outbuildings if you are looking for honest, dependable, and quality work at a great price!!

    ITALY AMERICAN CONSTRUCTION, INC
A little after 4:30 a pickup pulls up.  My wife says it is the same guy that was there earlier.  I go out the front door and tell him to not even bother coming up the drive.   He keeps coming, so I tell him to leave, because if this is It-Am's best foot forward, I can only imagine what kind of workers they hire.  I ignore his protests wherein he tells me to not be ignorant.  I turn my back and walk into the house. He follows me and starts pounding on the door.  I  tell him to leave and that if he persists and attempts to enter he will be having a different conversation with Mr. Glock as I now feel threatened.  My wife is freaked out by this guy, who if the card he left earlier is correct is the owner!!  She wants to call the cops as the guy is just sitting there in his truck.  I say don't bother the cops for nothing - leave calls for real emergencies.  After about 15 minutes the cops show up.  Turns out he called them.  After questioning us, they told him to get packing.  I told her to relax as that was just totally silly.  However,  I can only imagine how this guy reacts when you try to complain about his companies work.

Bottom line - I recommend not ever considering  Italy-American.

Update:  I was surprised to see that the Italy-American rep responded and more shocked that he could  lie so smoothly.  I did get a copy of the police report ($3 fee).  Standard he said/ she said with nothing substantive, as would be expected on such a call.

Mr. Hay gave a detailed and reasonable price for services, and responded to queries. Services, including removal of old sunporch and door were performed mostly in one day. We are very pleased.
