    HomeSpec BasementFix
They were very prompt and professional and worked with me on the price as well as how much work I really needed to get done. They didn't oversell or overcharge me. Plus, the sales guy and the actual repair guys were very professional and respectful.

They were here ONE day and the job was 90% completed. Finished up the next day in minutes. If, like me, you are tired of basement waterproofers who are unconscionable and sell you anything, please use HomeSpec. It will restore your faith in people doing the job they promised. I will recommend HomeSpec to everyone. Thanks for a job very well done.

    Great Lakes Waterproofing
We had a big leak under the basement stairs in the front of the house and a couple of small leaks in rod holes in the back of the house.  The company used their Bentonite system 2 times on the outside of the house without much improvement in the stairs leak, so they installed the drain tile system there (no additional charge, covered by their warranty.)  This still didn't fix the leak, so hey had to go into the wall to discover holes behind the basement stairs.  They filled them and no more leak!  They also filled the rod holes in the back which were not part of the initial estimate at no charge.  I give Great Lakes high ratings because they honored their warranty and kept coming back until our problem was solved.  Their employees, especially Josh, were excellent!

    Now Dry Basement Waterproofing
Steve and his assistant were extremely knowledgeable, very fast at working and made minimal holes to our finished basement to repair many hidden tie-rod holes that had begun to leak. Highly, highly recommend him! He has also done work for my sister who was having foundation issues.

    Foundation Systems of Michigan
Their work was excellent especially with all the rain that we had, we had not had a drop of water. We were very pleased with what they did and with their service. We had water in our basement coming in from our sidewalls. The drains outside the foundation had probably crumbled so they compressed the dirt above it.  They came in, took up about 12 inches around of the basement floor, and put new drains all around inside the basement. They absolutely took care of the problem and they did it in one day. They were thorough and explained everything. They went all over the basement, looked up very carefully and explained the problem. They gave us what they thought and what their diagnosis was. We did get other estimate from other people but they seemed to be the most knowledgeable and the all the ratings had been very good on Angie’s List. They told us they could come into in a day. They also have financing if we want financing. They had everything available that we need. Workers were good, showed up in the morning, went right to work and they laid stuff where we had wood floor. They covered our wood floor so everything was protected. They told us it was going to be noisy. They worked quickly and were done at the end of the day. We were impressed with that. Everything went out exactly what they said it would. They brought their supervisor with them and checked it all out the next day after it was done to make sure it was done properly. Overall, it was a good experience. The price was good. It was the price that we were hearing so they were within the range. They were able to answer all the questions we had.

    Brick Concepts LLC

I originally purchased a Big Deal ($189) for a foundation crack repair by Brick Concepts in October, 2012.  I knew I had a leak but it was behind drywall in the basement.  Finally located the crack in January and contacted Brick Concepts and left message.  Jordan contacted me and the repair was set for Sunday, February 3, 2013 at 2:00 PM   On February 3rd, Jordan called me in the morning and wanted to know if they could arrive early.  They arrived around noon and explained the procedure.  Jordan also explained that the interior repair would probably not solve the problem.  They gave me a quote for outside repairs and then proceeded with the interior repair.  They completed the inside repair and completely cleaned up the work area..     I agreed to proceed with the outside repair according to their proposal.  Jordan was right as a small leak appeared within days.

The quote for the outside repair involved the following:

Remove landscaping in a 6 ft section, dig down 8ft to drain tile and grind out crack.  Then inject crack with epoxy and cover with water resistant material.  Then the entire wall (6ft by 8ft) would be tarred and covered with plastic.  Repeated two times with a membrane.  Two feet of pea gravel added and the hole completely filled in.  Landscape  replanted.   ($2,500)

Jordan also checked out my chimney and suggested repairs  including tuck point, sealing and new cap.    ($275)

The work was schedule for March 15, 2013 and the crew arrived in the morning.  Jordan explained  again what they would be doing. At various points he  had  me observe  their progress. .After they were done the area was totally restored and cleaned up.

While part of the crew was finishing the foundation crack, others started on the chimney. They performed the tuck point, sealed the flashing and replaced the cap.  Again the cleanup was excellent.

Both projects were completely finished that day.

The best part is that the wall has not leaked!!    Brick Concepts employees were very professional and did a great job in restoring

the area.  They check out your home to see if they see any other items that need attention.  No pressure but they will provide estimates if requested..

    HomeSpec BasementFix
We've had water on our basement carpet after heavy rains/thaws for a year.  We had tried a number of fixes including snaking out interior drains, having a french drain installed outside, and improving the grade.  We had been reluctant to rip off the drywall in the finished basement and so had been trying other more obvious fixes first.  Once company we had out for an estimate recommended an interior drainage system for over $10,000, but we didn't want to spend that kind of money unless it was absolutely necessary.
We had Brian from Homespec out to inspect the basement after the latest attempt to stop the leak failed.  He inspected the floor, baseboard and the exterior of the house to try and determine the cause of the leak without having to remove the drywall.  He told us he thought it was probably a crack in the wall and that he had to see behind the drywall to be sure.  He did not charge for this inspection.
We did have the drywall removed (another cost of over $1500 to get this removed and replaced, sigh).  We could see immediately that there was water seeping in at the tie rod holes.  We called Brian and he was able to come out within a couple of days to inspect it.  This was over the Christmas week, and we were pleased to get someone out on a week when a lot of people aren't around.  He confirmed the problem was the tie rod holes and was able to arrange for a repair that same day.  After the huge thaw we had earlier this month along with heavy rain, our basement is dry!
We were very happy with the service we received from Homespec, at a very reasonable price.  We would whole-heartedly recommend them to anyone needing help with a leaky basement.

    The Crack Team
Water was starting to dribble/leak in as the side the crack is on is not properly graded. We received estimates from a few companies, and ultimately went with the crack team, as they offered reasonable quote (don't remember exactly). The gentleman that came out was both knowledgable, patient, insightful to the situation/ further solutions to prevent leaking. Was efficient with his time but got the job done right

    Affordable Dry Basement
They did a very good job and were punctual, polite and cleaned up afterward. We did have to sweep up a lot of dust and wash down the floor and all the tables in the area, but that was to be expected. I would recommend them. It was not cheap, but their pricing was competitive.
