Family Heating Cooling & Electrical Inc
The installation went well. Excellent mechanical installation. Project started and finished on schedule. There were system problems months later; these were resolved. The installation was performed in June. The season was warm, so the HVAC system was in air conditioning mode. The technician performed rudimentary verification of the furnace. In the late Fall season, HVAC was in heating mode, and repeatedly shut down with a system error. It required several service calls, eventually I called the manager and insisted that he send his best knowledgeable, skilled, trained technician familiar with this equipment. Lo and behold, the original installation had not been configured correctly for the attached equipment and thermostst.

They were recommended by somebody.  They did a home energy audit which saved us $3,000.  they knew about an energy incentive.  In essence we spent $3,000 with them and we got a $3,000 check back because of the energy savings.  I can't complain about that. They were professional and honest.  My electric bill has gone down by about 25%.

    The Furnace Guy Inc
The Furnace Guy came out the day we bought our house, because the furnace would run for about 20 minutes and stop. He figured it out after a couple of hours and some trial and error. He left, thinking it was working, and we had to call him back because it stopped working again about an hour later. He came back, "stopped the clock" to just figure out how it was configured (which we appreciated!) and then fixed it ($239). We had to have some follow-up work done later that wasn't critical to getting the furnace to operate that day (humidifer), which we scheduled later with The Furnace Guy ($195). They arrived on time, go the work done effectively, and took the time to explain to my husband how to maintain the new humidifier system.

I chose to use them because they had about forty reviews on a very high grade on Angie's List and my next door neighbor works for them. They are very knowledgeable and very good at working with me to get the new supply outlets and return, register, gross, get that all located to the reconnected system. They have good workmanship. They take care of the details. The job looks like its going to be on schedule. They show up every morning just after 8 o'clock, bring the gear in and get to work.

This was a big job with extensive work needed over the course of 4 days.  The crew did a good job taking care of all the details and made sure the work met our needs (i.e. furnace location, vent work, etc.).  We are very happy with the results.  The house is much more comfortable now.  We love the convenience of the wi-fi thermostat since we use this house primarily as a Summer cottage.  It's great to arrive at a warm home with the easy use of an i phone app.

    Adams Heating & Cooling
It was a below zero morning after a snow storm and we awoke to find our furnace would not turn on. We put in a call to Adam's Heating & Cooling and they responded in a professional and concerned manner that their business was completely snowed in from the snow storm, but they would come as quickly as they could. It took them about an hour and a half to come, but it gave us time to shovel our driveway so they would not get stuck. The serviceman was very nice and friendly.  He looked at our furnace for a couple of minutes and said the vent pipe was covered with snow. This was keeping the furnace from getting enough oxygen for the pilot light to stay lit. He grabbed a ladder and our snow shovel, went up on the roof, shoveled out our vent pipes and was back inside checking the furnace in less than 10 minutes. He waited for the furnace to start up, and made sure it was heating. We had 2 -3 feet of snow in our yard and on our roof and it was below zero, but this guy acted like it was no big deal to run out there and shovel part of our roof. He had our furnace up and running in less than half an hour and did it all with a smile on his face! Worth every penny of the $90 service call. We'll definitely use Adam's Heating & Cooling again!

    LAPHAM HEATING & COOLING
I noticed when I got up for work at 5:30 am that our furnace had quit working in the middle of the night and it was getting very cold in the house. It was near zero outside and we wanted a serviceman to come as soon as possible. We had used Lapham in the past and they were always pretty quick to come out, so we called them. We were pleased that the serviceman was able to respond so quickly, he arrived in about 30 minutes. From the moment he arrived he was surly and disrespectful. He told us several times how much he hated our furnace and that we should get a new one. He installed a new igniter and while waiting for the furnace to start up he continued to complain about our furnace and how he hated working on it. He did indeed fix the furnace in about 15 minutes, without a single nice word coming out of his mouth. We thanked him for coming so quickly and fixing our furnace on that bitter cold morning, we were very grateful for that. His parting remark was that if we needed to have our furnace worked on again we should call someone else. Then to top it off, the very first bill I get for that service call says it's past due with a $5 late fee. Rest assured, I will not be calling Lapham again.

    LAPHAM HEATING & COOLING
I called, and they were at the house in a couple of hours. He replaced a zone valve, and when I asked if he could look at something else, since another room was not getting any heat from a register, he serviced the system and got everything running correctly. It took him less than an hour for everything.

I enjoyed working with this company.  From the fast and friendly service when you call their office through the prompt and well done job at the house every thing was done as promised and at a very good price.

That was good! They came right away the day I called them. I had them come out three times within the last year. They're efficient, and they got the job done quickly. Also, they came back. Their job was good overall! They were able to fix the problem., but I just kept having different problems. Their price was reasonable.
