Window Cleaning reviews in Pinckney

  • Photos of how well this company cleaned, broken window latch and why I contacted the owner upset regarding my concerns. Would I use again? Absolutely not. Owner can try and excuse this shoddy work by trying to make me look bad, but no reasonable homeowner would find this acceptable.

  • The job was done in a timely manner that required cleaning a two story, four bedroom house. After the gutters were cleared (they had accumulated 15 years of "stuff"), the windows were washed sparkling clean. A tough job, that was well done.

  • Mike was on time and he and his helper, Jake, did an excellent job power washing the house and garage and cleaning the windows inside and out. Some of our windows were very difficult to access but Mike persevered even though I was willing to forego the cleaning of one of the very high and least accessible windows. He cleaned a number of screens and cleaned out a clogged gutter as well. He didn't charge extra for these services and stayed true to his original estimate. In addition, I had a really high light fixture that neither my husband nor I could get to for cleaning and Mike's helper took care of that too and charged a nominal amount of money for doing that. I am new to MI but used other contractors in VA for similar cleaning services and none of them compare to Mike's quality, his reasonable prices and his careful consideration of our property while performing these services. We highly recommend Mike and will not hesitate to use his company again.

  • Excellent.  MIke does a great job, and never hesitates to go the extra mile -- scraping off paint or stain previously left on the windows, etc.  I've used him 3 times now (at 3 different locations), and will definitely keep using him.  Besides all this, he is always very responsive, and his pricing is excellent.
    I highly recommend him!

  • Mike is a perfectionist and it shows in his work!  His pricing was reasonable.  He showed up on time.  His demeanor was always very pleasant. All of the work that he performed was done to my satisfaction. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Mike again.

  • Professional Services deserves an A+ rating.  Rob gives a written estimate which is reasonable, calls ahead during the week he  plans to do the work, shows up when he says he will, does QUALITY work, and finishes the work quickly. He's a pro at making older decks look brand new. His window washing is fantastic!  He is thorough and fast.
We were not pleased with the services of the other professional who power washed the deck.  The company was not professional and inconsistent in showing up. This company had done work before for us, but has become one not to be trusted. Check all Angie's List reviews for window cleaners in the Brighton, MI  area. Our negative review is posted. We decided not to have that provider stain the deck or clean the windows after the power washing.
Professional Services is on my list to call back for both painting and window washing. It would be very difficult to match Rob's dedication, excellent work, and professionalism. Rob receives good reviews on all sites.

  • Matt, the Window Wizard,  called me in mid-September to ask me if I needed any work done on my home. He had done some window washing and painting  for me before and had done a satisfactory job.  On the phone, I hired him to power wash the back of my house (which has very little area),  powerwash my deck,  put screws instead of nails on some deck boards that had come up, stain the deck, and wash the windows both inside and out.  that is the order that he told me the work would be done. There was no written contract given. Since he had done work before for me, I trusted his estimate and his ability to do the work.  He told me to wash the windows inside and out would be $175.00.  To powerwash  the back of the house, powerwash the deck, put screws in loose boards, and stain the deck would be $925.00. The total on the job would be $1,100.  I gave him a check of $300.00 to buy materials for the deck staining and screws.  He was scheduled to come on Thursday, September 13th and Friday, September 14th to powerwash the deck and then stain it. . He did not show up. On the evening of the 14th, I called his cell phone and left a call back number.  His voice mail was full.  I also left a message asking where he was on his website    I then located his family phone number in the white pages. I called the family home and left a message telling those who lived at the home, i.e., his parents, that he had not come on the 13th and 14th as he said he would.  He told me that his power washer was broken, and he called my number but didn't know if it was my number because there was a generic message on the answering machine. He didn't leave a message because of that.  My voice mail has a self recorded message on it which I told him. On Saturday,  September 15, 2012, he came and power washed the deck.  He asked me for a $400.00 check to continue. I gave him a check for $300.00. I told him I would give him the balance upon completion of all the work. It was a more than generous amount for the work he had done so far.
He told me the deck would need 24 hours to dry so he would come back to put in the screws on the loose boards and stain it on Monday, September 17th and Tuesday, September 18th.  He would then wash the windows after the deck was stained which would be Tuesday, the 18th. I told him I at least needed the deck staining done by Tuesday, because the landscape company cuts the lawn on Wednesday. I did not want loose grass sticking to the wet stain.  He did not come on Monday, the 17th which was a beautiful, warm, and sunny day. Once again in the late morning, I called his cell phone and left a call back number.  His voicemail was full. I also left a message as to his whereabouts on his website. I then called his family home and left a message as to where he was. I called his cell phone again at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, September 17th. He answered the phone. I asked him where he had been. He asked me why I kept calling his parents? He was very indignant and annoyed with me. I told him the reason; calling his parents was the only way I could get him to come to my house to do the work he said he would do. He said he was on his way to my home to stain the deck because his parents made him do so. I told him it was too late in the afternoon to start staining the deck. He needed to come back tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 18th to stain the deck. He said he was coming over anyway to do it against my wishes.  He called me back a few minutes later. He said he was buying the stain and would come to my house on Tuesday in the morning to stain the deck.
It rained in the very early a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17th. The deck had water puddles on it at 7:00 a.m.  At 9:30 a.m.  Matt knocked at the door and said he was at my home  to wash the windows on the inside. He literally was entering my home when I had to tell him, "Stop!"  He would not be washing the windows on the inside now because my husband was still sleeping. He said he would stain the railings of the deck then. I told him he would not be doing that because it had rained within the last few hours and the deck  railings were damp. He insisted they were not. He was argumentative. He said that by noon the floor boards would be dry, and he could stain those. I told him I wanted to give the deck 24 hours to dry. After all, he had told me it would need 24 hours to dry after he had power washed it. I then asked him about the 24 hour drying period that he  told me the deck needed after he had power washed it before putting on stain. He said it would be no problem putting oil stain on the deck without the 24 hour waiting period. He said that the deck floor boards would be dry in three hours. He could stain them then.  I told him, very emphatically, that he would not be staining the deck until Thursday. He argued with me again.  By the way, it rained on and off all day on Tuesday, September 17th. I didn't want the deck stained on Wednesday, September 19th  because of the lawn cutting. I asked him to come Thursday, September 20th to stain the deck.  He said he was busy Thursday, and it was going to rain on Thursday which it did not. I said that if he wanted to do something today, he could put in the screws in the loose boards.
He started putting the screws in the loose boards. After some thought, I told him that he was off the job and that I needed a professional. I told him I did not need to constantly call as to his whereabouts and argue with what was to be done when. I remiinded him about our initial agreement. He argued with me once again and said that he would miss out on staining the deck and  window washing and the money if he could not finish the job when I told him why I was letting him go. I told him I wanted the remainder of my money back. I acknowledged that he could keep the $175.00 for the power washing. I asked him to give me the stain he had bought, and I would return it. I would subtract that amount from what he owed me.  I asked him where he bought it and to provide me with the receipt . He said he bought it at Lowes and did not have a receipt.
I tried to return the stain to Lowes. They did not carry that stain. I then went to Home Depot. They did carry the stain. Since I had no receipt, I received an in store credit for $21.14.
I contacted another professional via the yellow pages who had good reviews. Angie's List did not have any deck power washing and staining professionals in my area. He came to my home promptly, wrote a written estimate for putting screws in the loose boards, stainiing the deck , and washing the windows both inside and outside in that order. He said the power washing job that Matt had done was adequate. He required no money up front. I hired him with a hand shake to do the remainder of the work. His estimate was reasonable. He said he had jobs for the next two weeks, but he would give me a call when he was going to begin my job.
I also asked him  how much a professional would charge to power wash the deck. He said $200.00 and wrote a written estimate.
I am going to contact Matt as to what our initial agreement was, what I paid, the work he did, the supplies he bought and I returned, and allow him to retain $200.00 of what I paid him for the power washing even though he was only charging $175.00. He did put 2 or 3 screws in one deck board. I will also subract $21.14 for supplies I returned from what he owes me. I will send a copy of the estimate for power washing from the other professional and the Home Depot receipt to him and cc a copy of my letter and attachments to his parents since they seem to be the people who make him do the work. I will be asking for the remainder of my money that I paid him. If I do not get it back from him, I will be taking him to small claims court. He bills himself as a professional, but he needs to be treated like an immature boy!
