Everything went great, when I picked the girls up, they were happy and wagging tails... the staff gal cheerfully talked to them by name and helped me take them to the car... everyone was very friendly and happy people....

    TALL OAKS KENNEL
Tall Oaks Kennels had always treated my two elderly dogs and my one anxious younger dog very well.  I took my young anxious dog there about once a week for day care to make it easier on her when we would board her while we were away on vacations.  My dogs would appear happy and well cared for when I picked  them up from the kennel..  The individual staff members always seemed very caring.
On June 17, 2015, I was dropping off my dog for day care.  Another dog was also there to be dropped of for day care.  I kept my dog in my car and waited a few minutes for the staff to situate the other dog.  I asked the kennel owner who was in the office (also the drop off area) if she was ready for my dog and she said"yes".  I brought my leashed dog in to the office and she was immediately attacked by the first dog who had comeback from the kennel area and was unleashed. We were backed into a corner and the dog had hold of the back of my dog's neck.  When I reached around to try to get the dog off, my dog inadvertently bit me.
A staff member quickly pulled off the other dog.  The owner helped me check my dog for wounds and helped me take care of my bitten hand. After we left, she never called or followed up on what had happened.   My medical insurance covered my $1500 urgent care bill.  My dog's vet bills came to $293.  I learned from a formerTall Oaks Kennel employee that the dog who attacked was known to be aggressive towards other dogs.
I sent a letter both via email and U.S. Mail asking that the kennel develop a formal drop off procedure and an aggressive dog policy to protect the safety of owners and dogs.  I also asked for reimbursement of my $293 (vet bill).  I haven't hear a word back.

We've been coming here for about 17 years. Carol Brunette is our vet. I can't say enough good things about her! We love her! Our dog didn't change his behavior for her, she was just able to control him. She took care of him for 17 years until he passed. She wasn't due to come in that morning but because he was dying, she rushed in to meet us. All told, she's worked with 4 of our pets. They're also very good about follow-up, sending us post-card/email reminders.

We moved here from the east coast. Before we moved we had just gotten a puppy that was very dangerous. He was a spitz breed, was very strong-willed, and would bite. One veterinarian on the east coast wanted to put him down. When we moved, we tried at least seven different vets before I could find one who would take him. Carol took care of him until he died at 17 years old. She was just wonderful with him. No other vet could even handle him.

    ANIMAL CLINIC OF PINCKNEY
Visit went fine.  Vet seemed to have good rapport with animals.
My only concern was that the baseboard mouldings had been removed in the treatment rooms making them difficult to sanitize.  That problem may have been corrected since our visit.

We have used them for the last two or three dogs we have had, since we moved into this area. Just recently we had just gone in to pick up the medicine that we give our Maltese once a month for flees, etc. What they charge me depends on what I am having done, like I had her teeth cleaned and the total amount there was like $300 because they had to give her some medicine to put her to sleep so that she would not attack them or bite them. We take her in for all of her shots, her rabies shots, they always do blood work and stool samples and she gets the vaccines, the Lepto and Norditalia, and so she gets all of those checks every time. Everything has been good about them, by the fact that we have kept this facility and the same doctor. We have a specific doctor there that we go to each time. We are very pleased with their facility and their ability. The doctor we go to is Dr. Kathy Lawrence. She is excellent and we have had her for both dogs. Our other dog was also a Maltese that we had prior to this one. This one we bought eight weeks old and she just turned five in June. So we have had her for five years. The last Maltese that we had developed cancer. We went through a cancer program with Dr. Lawrence. We had to actually go through the cancer center. We got her in remission; it was quite expensive to do that because they gave her chemotherapy the same as humans get. When it redeveloped a year later they said that there is not much they could do, so we took her in to the hospital to have her put to sleep. They were just excellent. They provided us with a separate room where we could spend some time with her alone and they gave her a shot first of all to just relax her and then they gave her another one that did actually just put her to sleep. After she was asleep then they gave her the one that stopped her heart. They handled everything having her cremated and we have her ashes in a beautiful wooden oak box there with her nameplate on it. In every category I would have to rate Brighton Animal Hospital with "A's" all the way through. There is not a thing that I could think of that would be even a "B." We would not use anything else other than them and continue to use Dr. Kathy Lawrence as her doctor.

When we arrived at our appointment we were greeted right away by the friendly staff. They explained how their services work (vaccinations, preventative treatment, etc). We went into the examination room and the assistant did an examination on our puppy (heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, etc.) and then went over some details more specific to the breed. The doc came in and did a more in depth exam and spoke about specific things to be aware of in a German Shepherd dog.

    ANIMAL CLINIC OF PINCKNEY
Very sympathetic, questioned why I wanted to do it {so as not to just get rid of her}. Was very supportive of me and especially of  my dear pet, Smudge. Very kind follow up of loss of friend. Had used them before for the same reason for my dear cat Alpha back in 1999. I would trust them with ALL of my pet care needs.
