    A Better Exterior came out immediately when we had some wind damage to our roof. They made the repair that day so that there would be no further damage until the entire roof could be replaced. Their communication, work teams, cleanup, efficiency, quality of materials and pricing were absolutely unbeatable. We were very happy with the job they did and would highly recommend them (actually we have recommended them to friends who were also very pleased with the company and the work they did.)

    They cleaned the gutters on my home while I was not home and sent me an email letting me know the work was done.  I saw a few small pieces of debris on the ground around my home, but otherwise would not have been able to tell they were there.  The gutters looked good.  The service was supposed to include a gutter inspection, so I sent them a message through Angie's list asking for the results of the inspection.  They replied quickly and stated that they did not find any issues with my gutters.

    We loved working with Roof Rite!  After a horrible hail storm, our roof, some siding, and all of our downspouts had considerable damage.  Todd, the project manager, came out and gave us a free quote.  He then worked with our insurance company and kept us informed the entire way.  It took ONE DAY to rip off our roof, replace the shingles, install ridge vent (not there originally), replace siding around our windows, and replace all downspouts.  The crew he had out here was wonderful and very considerate of our "no smoking on the property rule" as my daughter is highly allergic.  They were all very kind and curteous.  The work was done quickly and with great care.  Our new roof is beautiful - a huge difference!  I am VERY glad we gave Roof Rite a call; I had a great experience working with Todd and the crew.

    Roof went on ok .......but everything else was a mess. They did not try to protect our landscape and left the yard a mess. We had distoryed bushes and flowerers. Still picking up nails and found a box opener in my scrubs and then in the lawn piece of their staple gun. Old roofing is still being found. Then behind our shed.......saw that is was used as a restroom.. This put us over the top..we made arrangements to be here all day just in case something like this would come up and they needed to just our bathroom. If this company has this kind of problem they need to bring porta Potty with them. The whole experience was horrible. A tarp was put down in the yard for the roofing to fall in but the tarp was used for something else and killed the lawn because of the oil and gas on it. We hard to seed the yard and clean up the mess they did not do. Also had a dumpsters delivered for the roofing and it was not suppose to be steel so it would not destroy the blacktop driveway....needless to say now we have tire marks and a round circle hole where the hitch held it in place . So this is not a company we would not ever hire or refer to anyone. Also our vent on the roof was but bent ans was just left to excepted from us. Just pray we did not spend this money for a roof that will blow off or leak. This was a bad experience.....all the way around. They associates that are running the company were very nice but the name of the company Right Way needs some help with thier roofers

    We had first contact at the 2012 Home Show in Novi. He had a promotional going on at that time that you would receive a Kindle Fire with purchase of your gutters. He was late for his first appointment with us. He gave us an estimate for the gutters and the leaf guards. The first installation date they did not show up with the excuse that they did not have enough time to do our job. On the day that they installed the gutters, they just showed up without calling or anything. They were supposed to return within the week to complete the job by installing the leafguards, but never showed up. We called Randy, but he said that they ran out of the product and had to order more from California. He said that the product would be in within two weeks and we should have them installed within that time. He said that he would express the Kindle, which we did not get.  After about a month I called him back, he said he still had to order more product and it would be another week and that the Kindle was in the mail.We still did not receive the Kindle. Finally, after another couple of weeks he had a crew come out to finish the job. After the job was done and it rained we had several leaks. I called Randy, he said he would send a crew over to fix the leaks and that he would send the Kindle and we should receive it in about two days. It is now a month later and he never got a crew over to fix the leaks and we still did not recieve the Kindle. We were also supposed to get a brush to clean the leafguards, which we never received. We have given up. We are through with him and are contacting the Better Business Bureau.  We have decided to do the repairs to the gutters and leafguards ourselves. While doing the repairs we found shingle damage due to the installation of the leafguards. I do not recommend that anyone deal with this company.

    The Rain Catcher
    At the end of the job, they refused to side an exterior wall under a small covered porch claiming this wasn't part of the original estimate. A section of gutter started pulling away in 2008 and then came down completely, along with another chunk, in 2009. All paperwork from the company is clearly labeled "5 Year Warranty on Labor", but the owner refuses to address the problem, claiming it is typical weather damage. He also says we should have had heat tape and/or ice blockers installed, but neither of those were mentioned in his original estimates. We offered to split the expense with him by paying to replace the rotten wood (again, on a per-foot basis) and he refuses. He is willing however to do the work if we turn it in to our insurance company (for $3950). A second company that came out to give us an estimate noted that the gutters had not been anchored to the joists to begin with.
