ADoctor Flue, inc.Great. On time, very professional, layer down drop clothes, cleaned up when they were finished. Nick explained what he was doing, gave me several suggestions about care for the fireplace. While he was cleaning, Jason climbed a ladder and did a thorough check of the chimney. Nick and Jason worked quickly and did a great job. They put me on a schedule for a year cleaning. Definitely will hire again.- Maureen H.

ADoctor Flue, inc.Nick arrived early and did a great job. Fixed a problem with lighting the unit, cleaned the fireplace and refurbished the unit. He also installed a new chimney cap to replace a damaged one that blew off during a storm. He was very thorough and explained all the work he performed. The price for the cap was a bit high, but other than that, all around great experience.- Joshua V.

ADoctor Flue, inc.On our first communication Kevon asked me to send him some pictures and a sketch with dimensions of the firebox. He did some research and found several catalog units that were possibilities. He came to our house one evening (after my work hours) and presented my wife and I some of his designs. We looked at pictures of some of his previous installations (which helped alleviate some of the worries). Finally, we chose one. Dr Flue set up a date and arrangements were made to do the work (One Day) within a couple weeks from the quote. On the day of service Kevon and his assistant showed up in their fancy truck with all they needed to do the work. They laid out tarps and protective covers in the living room and wore protective covers over their work boots when they had to walk in the house. The work was not easy and took several hours of busting up stone and brick. Some of the granite field stone needed to be shaved. Much dust was generated, but it was collected with vacuum systems they had running almost the entire time they were working. A gas line was installed in the basement and needed to be drilled through concrete. The insert finally was ready to fit, and it was a tight fit. Kevon had to shave some granite and rock, but it went in. It was not a small job and they stayed with it all day ( I was glad I did not attempt it myself). Later that afternoon the fire was lit and they trained us on the use of the 'remote' and answered our questions. I have had a lot of work done to our home, but I can't remember seeing a tougher job come together any better. If you are looking for professional people doing creative work quickly, efficiently, and completely, you need look no further... Also; the final product is beautiful, balanced for the room decor and warming.- Douglas G.

AULTIMATE COMFORT HEATING & COOLING CO.The service person arrived within 45 minutes of his estimated start time, which was very good. He was very considerate of the cleanliness of our house. He completely dismantled our gas fireplace, cleaned every component (including the tempered glass front), and reassembled it. This is the first time ur unit has performed well in the past five years, after having two other companies attempt unsuccessfully to repair it.- William B.

ATanner ConstructionWork was performed in a very timely manner. Price and quality of workmanship was excellent. Rick stayed late into the evening hours to complete the job so that no one would be without heat. He proved to be very honest, dependable and ethical. I would recommend him to others and I will definitely use his services again.- Patty L.

AALL WEATHER MECHANICALThis is the second time we called Bill at All Weather Mechanical. He was able to show up quickly (unlike many of the local HVAC service companies), and got to the heart of the problem immediately. The furnace issue was caused by a dirty sensor which he cleaned. I explained I had been having issues with the intake being frozen over on the side of the house, and that had caused problems in the past. When I asked him about the configuration of the intake and exhaust (they didn't seem right to me), he was able to confirm that they had been hooked up BACKWARDS by the builder. We had been sucking in CO from the exhaust through the intake (nice job building inspectors in Shiawassee County). Bill had the PVC parts to fix the problem for me which he did. He also found a faulty switch which was causing the problem with the gas fireplace. Throughout, he explained what he was doing and was very professional. All of this cost us only $100. I will always default to All Weather Mechanical for HVAC problems going forward. Top notch service provider!- John J.

AALL WEATHER MECHANICALI contacted Bill Kaiser of All Weather Mechanical and he visited to see what was needed then set a date to do the installation. The date came and he arrived and completed the work. He also explained some aspects of a vent free fireplace to help ensure our safety. Bill did the work for the price he had quoted. Based on reading many positive reviews of his work, I can only guess that it was a fair and reasonable price. I am pleased with the results.- Kenneth B.

ACame out next day for estimate and then schedule for a week later (it wasn't an emergency, which they verified when scheduling). Will most defiantly recommend and use them again when needed. They stand behind the price they quote and actually took the time to get into the crawl space to look at it not just the picture I had. Compared to the other place I received an estimate from who bided the job higher and stated they may have to charge more than what they quoted and they only looked at pictures.

FA-1 Mechanical installed my gas fireplace during the construction of our home. We have not been able to use the fireplace since we moved in because it emits noxious fumes, sets off the fire alarms, and makes you sick. We have repeatedly reported the problem to A-1 Mechanical. Although the technicians have repeatedly observed the noxious fumes, their only advice was to continue running it until it burns the chemicals/paint off. Ten years later after numerous attempts to burn off the chemical/paint, and several inspections by A-1, they are telling us the same story and denying anything is wrong. Despite the technician's acknowledgment that the fireplace is emitting fumes, they are writing a false report to the manufacturer that there is nothing wrong with the unit. Apparently A-1 mechanical does not stand by their work or the equipment they install.

FWas part of homeowner association "upgrade" to the roofs of all of the garages in our complex. Home Wreckers were hired by the HOA to rip off, adjust, and reinstall the roofing of our garage. They got the roof ripped off then, with very obvious weather warnings, did not cover the garage roof adequately so rain water poured into our garage (as well as the adjoining neighbor) and completely soaked and ruined a ton of stuff including a brand-new work bench that had just been assembled. Calls to the owner during this catastrophe were unanswered and unreturned, only the HOA made any effort to try and re-cover the roofs properly during the storm. Very sloppy and unprofessional work even knowing there were afternoon rain and thunderstorms every day of the week they were working.

FI scheduled an appointment for between 2 & 4 PM. I arrived home at 2 and called at ~ 2:45 to ask when they might be coming. I needed to get back to work as we were busy so I was hoping they were on their way. The woman had to call the service man so she called me back to tell me that he still had another roof to do (flashing) and would not be coming before 5, likely 6 PM. I asked if anyone was planning to call me to let me know the delay and she replied that it was his fault as he should have called (in my world you take responsibility for screw ups and do not blame it on another person in the company.). I said I would come back and to have him give me a 20 minute out call. She replied that it would be too late and he needed at least 3 hours of light. It is light till at least 9 this time of year, I pointed this out and she said that they did not work after 5 (which begs the question why did she answer that they needed 3 hours). I was frustrated and said so and said that I expected a company to provide better information and that I was disappointed that she blamed the service man instead of simply apologizing. she said that she was going to hang up and that I could speak to her when I was "calmed down". I was very calm. She hung up. I called back, both numbers and she would not pick up. I then called another service provider, local company called Smokestack Sweep. They were $50 cheaper and their customer service was excellent.

AWe notified Scott about a burnt electrical smell we were experiencing and he came out to investigate. There were two reps (Scott and a co-worker) that were very courteous and showed up on time. He notified us before he was coming so that we could be present. He was able to diagnose the issue and get a new part within an hour of coming. Came back to install the part and the furnace was repaired. This is the second time we have used AMS and they have always been great to work with.
