    All-Star Remodeling & Design
Awesome job installing the egress window. Allstar Remodeling and Design has once again went above and beyond anything they have to do. They always go the extra mile to make sure I am happy. The owner and his company is the only company I will trust in my home. Larry the sale rep is wonderful to work with. Always makes sure the job is done properly. Always takes a minute to come inside and say Hi to my mom. Regular phone calls weekly to make sure the job is on track. Stephen and George installed the window. Pleasant to work with and have around. Job done to perfection. Painted, moved dirt in the yard and planted grass seed when finished. Again keep up the good work. Great Company, Great Employees already thinking of winter projects.

    Orbit Premier Painting
They came in early in the morning and by that evening everything was set and ready to go.  They did a great job, were efficient, and did an excellent job!  I wish some of the other contractors I've hired were as great and helpful as these guys were!  I would highly recommend them.

Richard P Van Der Slik Plastering
Richard was very responsive to my questions and phone call.  He and his son were professional, courteous, and speedy.  They did an excellent job and were very willing to work on my house even though it definitely wasn't one of the bigger jobs they had on their list of things to do.  Would recommend them again in a heart beat!

They did a fabulous job! I cannot say enough about how professional they were, how careful about keeping my carpeting and furniture safe, and how great it turned out! I did have a problem with them - thus the lower marks.
Originally, they were to pain for me in September, after they finished a big job elsewhere. When the end of September arrived, I hadn't heard from Mike, I contacted him via e-mail. The response I received was very terse and impersonal - said that all indoor jobs would now be completed after Thanksgiving. I wrote back and told him I would find someone else; the e-mail he'd sent me was offensive, and that I would find someone else to do the painting.
Mike called me as soon as he received my e-mail, and apologized profusely. He explained why their indoor jobs were postponed, and was nearly in tears when he asked me to please give his company another chance. He said that he felt so badly that if I would use his company, he would do the entire job for free. I was not comfortable with that, and eventually we decided that I would pay for only the paint and other materials. I also told him that he could do the job at his convenience, as long as it was done before Christmas.
The crew was here for a day and a half. They advertise that they'll move furniture and remove recept covers, etc., but my husband and I did all of that before they arrived, and replaced everything after they were done. When the painting was done, and the crew was cleaning up, I asked Mike for the cost of the paint and materials, so I could write him a check. He told me that they had decided that they could not do my job for free after all. I was in total shock - too much to even respond! I ended up paying the full $1400 of the original estimate I was given last summer.
So, yes, Miller's Painting does a fantastic job on drywall repair and painting, but I sure would never use them again or refer to them - what a lousy way to do business.

I used him due to advertiisement that he used a vacuum attached to sander to decrease drywall dust.  Product wasn't drying fast enough so he took apart the vacuum and used it as a fan thereby blowing some dust about.  He cleaned up after himself and threw in minor repairs wilth out further cost.

    JRJ Professional Painting
JRJ Professional Painting were excellent. They stayed and redid touch-ups until it got done right. I can't say anything against that. Nobody's perfect, but they did as best as anyone else could have. He also changed the lightbulb while he was up there.

    Jim Gardner
.We had a slow start as Jim was very busy and thus had a challenge to work our project into his schedule of more demanding projects. he took the door in his truck and worked on it for a few months and then returned it to our home. He was honest with us in that he explained that weathering and wood will be a problem for the life of our beautiful door. We will no doubt need to do this again unless we replace with a metal door. We appreciated his honesty.

    Van Tuinen Painting
Excellent appraisal and assessment. Exterior porch was rough sanded and two coats of paint applied, very nicely done. one small section exterior front of house painted and was also very well done. Interior garage wall done very nicely but objects were not returned in the exact location as we had previously placed them. Needed to call back for small areas that were overlooked on the exterior.

This is a small business consisting of four very professional craftsmen.  From the estimate to the final cleanup, they conducted themselves in a pleasant, professional, considerate manner.  Unlike other contractors I've worked with, they cleaned up their mess everyday, they used wholesome language around my family, they didn't leave cigarette butts everywhere, they even kept their radio down to a pleasant level so that we were able to use the yard when they worked.  The crew is very approachable and capable of making competent decisions without having to stop and get the OK from the boss.  I trust them around my children and home.
The project hit a bump when they began working around the chimney and discovered water damage to the framing of the chimney.  The original builder had installed the lathe behind the cultured stone incorrectly causing cracks to form down each corner (the lathe should be wrapped around the chimney - not cut into four individual side sections).  Additionally the cultured stone cracked and allowed water to penetrate behind it into the substructure.  Work on the roof stopped as we figured out our options.  I didn't really have the money saved to fix the chimney and could have let them keep working on the roof and dealt with the chimney a year later.  The problem with that was that the chimney was in pretty bad shape and the roofing was already stripped off around it and now was the perfect time to complete the work.  Given that the chimney was only adding twenty percent to the entire project, Jake worked with me on making payments for that portion of the job.  My other option would have been to get a small loan, but Jake was willing to work with me instead, which was very nice.  I would ask Jake to choose another mason for subcontracting this work if I had to do it all over again.  He only worked a few hours a day and turned a three day job into a two week endeavor.
After the chimney was completed, the work proceeded quickly.  The guys were very apologetic that the work didn't proceed faster but it really was just one of those things.  The spring weather was very wet, the chimney slowed us down.  People need to expect that projects will not always go perfectly.  I was very happy that they kept me informed all along the way.  I would definitely use them again on any construction project.

    Jim Gardner
Jim came to our home and inspected the state of our door; agreed to come to our house and load this door into a van for safe transport (glass in top portion). In his estimate he indicated that the price could be somewhat more than he gave us since he was not sure about the number of hours that would be required for this work. He returned the door and assisted my husband in installing the door.
