    The Classy Canine
I've been going to them since my dog was puppy. She had her first cut with them. The business was new at the time too and so they kinda grew up together. They are more expensive that some other places but she is so comfortable there, I am satisfied. They treat you like a member of your family.

They do what you ask them to do. My dog is always excited to go,  no anxiety and they are good.

The staff and doctors at Caring animal hospital are amazing.  They have continually been wonderful to both us and our very precious canine family member.  They have especially been incredibly caring, informative, professional, and supportive as our dog was recently diagnosed with Cancer.  I would recommend the team at Caring Animal hospital to any pet owner in the greater Lansing area.

They just do a good job. They are very attentive to the animal. They do a pretty good job of keeping you informed of the progress of the situation. They are very positive in their process of sending the animal home.

Our cat had had surgery 2 days previous to my contact with Waverly Animal Hospital. We had plans to spend a long weekend out of town. We needed a place that could administer medication, keep a close eye on our cat, and call us if she took a turn for the worse.
They require your cat to have current vaccinations (rabies, distemper, and a fecal within the last year), but that's basically it.
When I got there, I spent 20 minutes meeting with Dr. Johns. She wanted to make sure my cat was stable, go over her post-surgery discharge papers, and know what was expected/necessary for my cat to get proper care. Dr Johns and the entirety of the administrative staff were prompt, friendly and thorough.
It was REALLY nice to find a place that had provisions for feline boarding...not just a dog kennel that dabbled in cats.
The cost for boarding was $18/day plus $2 for each time medication was administered.
I was completely blown away by the entire experience. A + +.

They were great as always. We've been using Red Cedar for the past two years. They have taken great care of all of our pets. We also use them for boarding. They are fairly priced and have been very responsive to our needs and concerns. Our "girls" actually like going to the vet and they treat our pets like family. They are very good about remind us about appointments, vaccinations, etc. They are extremely pro-active in our pets health and well being.

I feel that their price was high. My dog has an illness and I felt that when we moved here she has not been improving. The veterinarian evaluated all of my dog's record and she had another evaluation, different from the one we had at Pennsylvania, in terms of her condition. The vet put her on another diet and gave her medicines. Then on, she has been very much better. It has been very good from that perspective.

Kathy met with me at the outset to get to know us and our pets and what we were looking for. She developed a customized and quot;adventure walkand quot; service, taking our smart and easily bored dog on stimulating walks in parks and all around the larger area, not just in our neighborhood. Her team also did daily potty-walk and cat-feeding visits on an as-needed basis. All of her staff were friendly and kind and responsible. They did a good job of communicating about each visit and any scheduling updates that needed to happen. Walkers often took pictures and texted them to me, which was fun and a comfort. Our dog and cat were both happy.

The vets themselves are very knowledgeable, caring, and are great with the animals. The things that have frustrated me about them is:
    1) They only carry generic brands of heartworm preventative (no HeartGuard here!)
    2) I only use HWP for 6 months of the year (no mosquitoes in the winter here) and I purchased Trifexis. They failed to tell me that it takes 3 months for it to kick in (thus he was unprotected from May-July!)
    3) I've been using Front Line on my dogs for years and have always purchased through my previous vet (buy 6 get 2 free, a deal the manufacturer does). When I went to Cedar Creek for the first time back in 2011, they had NO idea what I was talking about with the buy 6 get 2 free. I had them check the FrontLine website and call for details. They did (while I was standing there) and were like wow, we had no idea. They now advertise and honor that for everyone, but its something they should have discovered LONG ago on their own. Now I dont trust that theyre doing their due-diligence to save their customers money. Not good for business.
    4) My dog wasnt due for his rabies booster until 4 months after my May appointment. I asked them if I could do it now or later and they said either way is fine. They failed to tell me at the time that they would charge me another $35 office fee if I came back later. Claiming we want to check the dog over to ensure theyre not sick. I completely understand and I think thats a great policy, however, charging me twice in 4 months for a 35 second health check isnt the way to keep my business (at least not without informing me of these ahead of time).

My dog was in distress and my own vet was closed. I called Lansing Urgent care for pets and told them I could post date a check but didn't have money up front and they refused me. As did MSU Pet Emergency. The receptionist at Miller was wonderful and tried to get their vet on call to see my dog. He refused me too. The receptionist was very apologetic and tried offering some solutions. I would not visit there for vet services.

They're very thorough. Sometimes I think they're a little bit too thorough but they get the job done. I have no complaints about them. I've had my dogs in for emergencies and they've treated them right away and were very helpful and did a good job. The students are always very good. I don't mind taking a little extra time so students can learn their stuff. It's a been a good experience.
