    Definitely would not recommend, we are very disappointed in the home inspection we had. This is our third house, so we are very aware that they aren't intended to catch everything. However, the things that were missed were unacceptable. -There were two large water stains, approximately 1 feet wide each, on the cathedral ceiling right by the front entrance. There was no mention of them in the report. If there had at least been a mention, we could have had it looked at and discovered the issue causing it which we now have to pay for. The inspector even came out after we moved in to test the stain and there was no moisture present, confirming it had been there for an extended period of time. -The kitchen sink leaked at the drain, to the point that the cabinet below it was badly warped. When I recently brought this to their attention, they said it wasn't like that when they inspected the property. The house was not occupied and the leak was at the drain, no water was run through after the inspection, this explanation is BS. -The bathroom sink leaked to the point that it dripped noticeably when the water ran. There is no way they could have tested that sink and not noticed the leak. None of these were mentioned at all in the report. When contacted they gave the expected excuses and took no responsibility, which I actually expected.

    The team was polite and walked through the house with us.   At first glance it appeared thorough but we have had a number of problems.    We were not at all satisfied in the outcome and would recommend you look elsewhere.
    1.   Two people performed the inspection.   One appeared more knowledgeable than the other.   The least knowledgeable of the two did most of the inspection.  The other spent a significant amount of time on the phone in the kitchen and planning a future job along with the pest inspector.
    2.  The pest inspector was worthless.  I can't say he even spent 5 minutes looking around.   I asked him if he looked in the attic and he replied that he had -- no way.   When I later went to look in the attic opening it was clear he had not been in there (He didn't even have a ladder so he couldn't have..)  Clearly lied.  Missed a significant amount of ant frass in the basement from carpenter ants.   Worthless.
    3.  The following systems were marked as satisfactory and had to be replaced or fixed within the first week of us moving in:
    -Oven did not work
    -Carpenter Ant issue
    -Leaking roof
    -Air conditioner did not work
    -Kitchen sink leaked
    -Water damage behind second floor toilet
    4.  They spent a significant amount of time detailing their 90-day home warranty.   First of all, it is extremely limited ($500 coverage for appliances (must be newer than 10 years old) and $2000 coverage for any other systems, with SIGNIFICANT fine print).   We attempted to use it for the roof issue since it appeared that it should be covered.   After months of e-mailing and calling they have finally declined to pay our claim for a bogus reason.   They don't really charge extra for this, but it is still worthless.  It gives a false piece of mind -- it would be better to not have it at all frankly.  
    We selected these guys based on a lot of positive reviews.   Maybe they are slipping or had an off day, but this inspection was disappointingly bad and has cost us thousands of dollars in repairs.

    The inspector arrived before the time of the appointment, and was there before either the real estate agent or myself. There were two gentlemen performing the inspection, one gentleman that recently had surgery, and another gentleman did most of the work. They both appeared to professional and knowledgeable about home construction and the area. They told me that the roof of the house looked newer, but they said that they only got up on the roof of the attached garage and it was prior to my arrival.  I was told that they could not get up on the roof of the main part of the house, because their ladder was not long enough, and from the ground, the roof looked good.  I thought that it was rather odd that they only had a short ladder, because there are a lot of two story houses around, and I told them that it was a two story house when I made the appointment. The inspector opened up the access panel to the attic of the garage, and stood on the top of the ladder while shining his flashlight around.  They refused to inspect the attic of the house, because their were screws attaching the access panel, and they said they won't remove screws to open an attic access panel.
    Less than a week after we bought the house, we discovered that the roof leaked.  We had a roofer come out, and he told us that the chimney did not have flashing, and that the shingles were not properly layered on the saddle by the chimney.  Would the inspector have found these issues if he would have climbed up on the roof of the house?  
    After we moved in, I removed the three screws holding the access panel to the attic of the house, a task which took about a minute with a standard #2 Phillips head screwdriver.  I immediately saw that the exhaust fans for the two upstairs bathrooms were just vented into the attic.  It is my understanding that this is not good, because these fans dump hot, moist air into the attic which can cause mold and other issues, so exhaust fans should be piped to the outdoors.  Would the inspector have found this issue if he looked in the attic?

    They explained all the areas that needed to be fixed.  I was presented with a itemized list of all the services and repairs that they proposed.  They were knowledgable and professional.  I thought it was a bit pricey.

    They arrived on-time and were thorough with their inspection. I wasn't available on-site, but they ensure that my wife (who was there) got all the details, including any repairs that needed. Dan is a gem of a person. I later called him to find out if the repairs mentioned are needed, and he went through each of the inspection items and advised what are needed right-away and what can be done later. 
    Only downside is the "Pest-Inspection" they brought with them were very quick and completed the inspection in no time. My wife had a question if they indeed; did the complete inspection. Dan assured that they did. But my wife was not satisfied. Probably next time Dan should contract a different "Pest-Inspector".
    Overall, excellent experience. will do business with them again.

    He showed up on time, performed the inspection and gave us a written report which was pretty much 'multiple choice.' He told us the furnace should probably be replaced since the heat exchanger was cracked, the furnace was 20 years old, and replacing the heat exchanger wouldn't make sense. Fine. We understood, had an idea of how much was involved. It was the only serious problem he found with the house, and we went ahead and bought it. He did not tell us, and we subsequently found that a corner of the foundation had failed, and the house had sunk, and probably was still sinking in that area, causing slab heaving, a crack in the foundation wall, cracks in the brick facade and a tilt in the roof. A mess costing thousands to repair! He did not tell us that frame in a dormer was rotten, causing a leak in the roof, and will have to be repaired at a cost of five hundred. He did not tell us the water heater was leaking and would have to be repaired (replaced according to the contractor since the water heater is also twenty years old), another large expense. He did not tell us that the wooden shelf under the sink is rotten through, had been covered by a slab of wood not even nailed down, and will cost plus/minus six hundred to repair. I dread to think what else he did not tell us...did not find since he went through the house like a dose of salts marking up his multiple choice sheets...and that will be revealed as months go on. If he had done his job with even marginal competence we would not have bought this house. As it is, we are stuck and I totally blame him (Jason Murton) and his colleague (boss?) Les Van Alstine, both of DeWitt, MI and advise anyone looking for home inspectors in the Lansing Michigan area to avoid this company...Accurate Inspections, DeWiit, you would dose of plague.
